[Smart device] Each LED controlled by integrated circuit, which is individually addressable. You can set each LED as you wish to scroll messages or draw little images.Full color, high brightness, good heat dissipation, long working life, up to 50,000 hours.
[Safe to use] DC5V input and working. Unlike the traditional LED panel which has many circuit wires and is dangerous to touch, this LED Matrix panel adopts hidden circuit. You can touch it randomly and hang it at anywhere.
[Wide compatibility] Works great with Raspberry pi, Arduino or stand-alone ATmega328p setup. And also works directly with SPE105E, SP107E, K1000C, T1000S and more controllers. With different controllers, it will provide different effects, spectrum music mode, rolling subtitle, picture display, video display, fireworks effect and chase effect.
[Flexible design] You can extend the panel by hooking them up one by one with the 3pin JST connectors. Flexible FPCB can be gently bent and curved around surfaces. More panels can be spliced into a larger pixel screen.
[Wide applications] Used to make LED display, LED wall, advertising board, taxi advertising or information display, music beats display board and so on. Applied to shops, bars, clubs, shopping malls, dorms and boutique atmosphere lighting.

Great LED matrix
No documentation but was easy enough to figure out with YouTube. Works off the output of an Arduino uno. No external power supply needed.

Works great, but you will smoke the LED array it if you apply 24 VDC to the controller.
The label on the voltage input of the controller module says “5-24 VDC” … so I connected a power supply and increased the voltage. Soon I heard a crackle and saw smoke coming from the LED array. It was toast. Apparently, the control module will work with up to 24VDC, but the LED array cannot handle much above 5VDC … so be careful. There is no 5VDC regulator in the control module, so the full input voltage is passed through to the LED array. The input voltage label should say “5VDC” not “5-24VDC”.

Very bright when at full intensity
This panel is fun to play with. I hooked it up to an ESP8266 and wrote a JavaScript paint program for the client and a C web server for the ESP that receives the data. My child designs images on the PC and sends them to the LED array. Totally useless, but it was fun. There are several C libraries for NeoPixel you can use, and the panel responds well to them. I settled on FastLED. There were some gotchas that stumped me for a bit, such as using FastLED.delay() after sending data, but if it were too easy, it wouldn’t be fun.

THESE ARE GREAT, BRIGHT DURABLE AND INEXPENSIVE, THEY ARE NOT BEGINNER LEDS THOUGH
I Purchased this approx a year ago, as I use them in tons of my LED projects. I actually like this Type of LED panel because of its flexibility. (Having said that please don’t bend the panels in a crease like fashion they are not supposed to be bent that hardcore, when I say flexibility I mean a rolling type bending nature , not a hard 90-degree type bend. They are not built to withstand that kind of extreme use. Please keep that in mind.I also like this panel because it will still work if you happen to get it wet. Now when say that, I mean if you happen to spill you water on the panel you could easily paper towel it off make sure it is really dry and use it again. “These panels are not submergible and should not be placed where weather will affect IT. THEY are built for Indoor use that is not affected by the Seasons. There are options out there if you want weatherproof LEDs , but these LEDs Are Not Those. The older LEDs that Were made into matrix panels like this, were very expensive, because not a lot of people knew about them or worked with them, They had heating components attached to the back of the for cooling the lights down, which many times this made the board clunky heavy, and big. it also made you have to be and electrician extraordinaire. not to mention an impeccable solderer. These Panels comparatively are less expensive, and the connectors are built right into them so usually you don’t need to solder anything. These will clip right into the Controller you will need to purchase separately to run these panels. These are pretty basic, You’re not going to get a whole lot of frill with this, but you already know that. These are 3 wire RGB individually addressable LEDS with a ton of options for use. but basic at the core.Others have said it but it’s worth repeating.. LEDs uses a variety of different levels of voltage driven by data to make the LED light up different colors. Generally speaking Reds or colors on that end of the spectrum don’t need as much electricity. whereas brighter colors especially Whites are on the other end of the scale and require more electricity to light them up. because it takes more to light up white they tend to be much hotter especially at full brightness. If you light all 256 leds up bright white on this panel It will get really hot really quick. So please exercise caution, because these panels will catch fire if not used properly or wired correctly!!They can also be extremely bright so please keep that in mind when working with them, as looking directly at them Could be dangerous to you eyesight. they are small but pack a punch!!They are simple in design and really don’t need instructions. as most people are already used to LEDs, Via strips or something simple and want to add a little more to their light show or whatever they are using them for. Instructions will come with the Controller (that you must purchase separately)***(IF you are not already familiar with the instructions or the use of these lights I would Highly Recommend consulting a professional or an electrician or both! Although they use only 5v, there is a very real threat of getting electrocuted/ shocked / injured or even starting a fire. Please research your options before buying and being disappointed. There is a ton of information out there some good some bad, but I’ve learned the hard way over the years. And I’m trying to save you time money and effort from My mistakes in the past.)I purchased this one about a year ago and I’ve had it in multiple projects I’ve glued mine to some wood for support so it wouldn’t be so flexible. That’s what fits my need at the time. Your needs will most likely be different than mine and so on. I love it, I used it for part of a light show at christmas time. I’ve had 4 of these panels so far to this date in various projects, I’ve never had a problem with any of them, they are very Bright, easy to hook up and inexpensive!! Again they can get hot so Please use Caution! Also Very Important Keep in mind. I touched on this earlier, you will need a driver, or controller to be able to use these Lights. This is sold separately. the lights will not come with anything that allows you to control them right out of the box, Or at least mine didn’t so Make sure You check them out as well. We all have been there you get a brand new toy and forgetting to by the batteries Ugh it’s the worst. Well, these don’t use batteries but you know what i mean. I hope i didn’t confuse you terribly!!! Again this is a very good panel see the photos below for its capabilities. Good luck and Be safe!!
