The Stair Treads Non Slip for Wooden Stairs deliver a perfect blend of safety, convenience, and contemporary style. Designed specifically for wooden staircases, this 13-piece set features carpet runners sized at 8 inches wide by 30 inches long—ideal dimensions for standard home stairways. Each tread is engineered with a modern abstract pattern that not only enhances your staircase’s visual appeal but also provides reliable traction where it matters most. Whether you’re navigating the stairs with your pets or supporting an elderly family member, these non-slip carpet runners offer peace of mind through secure footing and reduced fall risk. With no installation tools or adhesives required, they’re ready to use straight from the box, making them an excellent choice for both new homeowners and renters seeking immediate, tool-free protection.
Key Features
- Advanced Anti-Skid TPR Backing: Each tread is lined with high-quality thermoplastic rubber (TPR), which creates a strong grip on smooth wooden surfaces. This advanced non-slip technology significantly reduces slip-and-fall accidents, especially important in homes with children, seniors, or active pets who may be more prone to losing balance on hard flooring.
- Effortless Peel-and-Place Installation: Forget complicated installations involving carpet tape, glue, or hardware. These treads are designed for instant application—simply unroll and position each one directly onto your dry, clean wooden step. The process takes less than a minute per piece, allowing you to secure your entire staircase quickly without leaving residue or requiring professional help.
- Modern Abstract Aesthetic: Beyond functionality, these carpet runners elevate your interior design. Their sleek, geometric patterns bring a touch of sophistication to any staircase, blending seamlessly with modern, minimalist, or even traditional décor styles. The neutral color palette ensures they complement rather than clash with existing furnishings.
- Safety-First Design for Vulnerable Users: Engineered with input from safety experts, these treads prioritize the needs of pets and elderly individuals. The cushioned surface provides slight impact absorption, while the consistent texture improves stability during walking, climbing, or descending.
- Easy Maintenance and Reusability: Cleaning is simple—just lift the tread, shake off debris, or wipe with a damp cloth. Unlike permanent stair treatments, these can be removed and reinstalled as needed, offering flexibility if you repaint walls, change furniture, or move to a new residence.

Benefits & Use Cases
This stair tread set is ideal for households seeking practical yet elegant solutions to common staircase hazards. The generous 8-inch width ensures complete coverage across most standard stair treads, eliminating bare spots that could become slippery. At 30 inches long, each runner fits comfortably on the horizontal surface of a typical step, with some extra length to accommodate risers or landings if desired. Because installation requires no structural changes, they’re particularly suitable for rental properties, temporary setups, or homes undergoing renovations.
The abstract design isn’t just decorative—it actively helps conceal scuff marks, pet hair, and general wear, keeping your stairs looking neat between cleanings. High-traffic areas like entryways benefit greatly from this added layer of protection, where moisture, paw prints, or accidental spills might compromise traction underfoot. While the TPR backing excels in dry conditions, users should ensure the wooden surface remains clean and free of oil or dust for optimal performance.
Beyond home safety, these treads support everyday comfort. Pets often struggle with grip on polished hardwood, increasing stress during movement; seniors appreciate the extra stability during daily routines. Parents gain confidence knowing their children are protected during active play near staircases. And because the system is modular—each tread works independently—you can replace damaged pieces individually instead of buying a full set again.
Important Notes
For best results, place one tread per stair step, ensuring full contact between the TPR backing and the surface. Do not overlap pieces unless necessary for coverage, as this may reduce overall stability. Before installation, thoroughly clean and dry each stair to remove any dirt, wax, or residues that could prevent proper adhesion. Avoid using on uneven, warped, or unfinished wood surfaces, as these may affect grip effectiveness. Although the backing is water-resistant, prolonged exposure to rain, steam, or standing water should be avoided to maintain longevity. These products are intended strictly for indoor use.

Easy to install and they look really nice
I love how easy they were to install, however I did use carpet tape to ensure they stay in place. The carpet treads are super soft and comfy to walk on in bare feet. I love the colors and the pattern, that will help hide any dirt and pet hair. They appear to be well made too with a nice rubber backing. For the low price you cannot go wrong.

They look decent but do not stay in place well
Here it is. We purchased these to help our older dog naviagate the steps into the garage with more confidence. He has been a victim of these steps in the past and has become little shy of them.On the plus side, they do look good and the manufacturing quality seems decent. On the downside, they do not look black and gray to me. I feel like the color is more blue/dark blue and gray. They are fairly small and don’t cover the step all that well. They do move around and require frequent repositioning.None of these things are unexpected and therefore I’m not more disappointed than I am. I have ordered some rug tape that might help them stay in place better. Overall I think they could work in certain situations and might need a little more help in others.

Love them
I love them the color and the soft feel. Its actual carpet and not mouse pads. They dont move when or while your stepping down. But they do move if you have little ones that like to slide down the stairs. I guess i will try to tape them down and see if that works. But so far no complaints.

Super Soft
The first thing I noticed about these stair treads is that they are incredibly soft. There rugs are as soft as a blanket! Next, the design is very pretty, and alternating the pattern makes these seem a little less uniform. Finally, I was a bit concerned about the nonstick, but I was pleasantly surprised. Though it is more like rug backing with a rubber coating, I am pleased that they do stay in place, for the most part. I say this, because I have 2 cats. One cat refuses to walk on them, but my other cat will go running up and down the stairs, and by doing this, the stair treads do move around by about an inch on the step. So far, they haven’t fallen off a stair, just slid around while still being completely on the stair. Just to be safe, I plan to invest in a bit of rug tape just to make sure they don’t move around from my kitty’s zoomies. But, if you don’t have pets with zoomies, you will be just fine with these as they are.

Brings new life to old stairs!
These non-slip stair treads are very soft. They remove the creaks from wooden steps. They are attractive and also truly non-slip. If you’re worried about a more permanent grip, then you can always add grip to the bottom to remove all doubt. Still, these seem to be very effective as they are (particularly with wooden steps). The modern abstract design is quite elegant too. They add some nice “pop” to what are otherwise dull steps.

Nice Looking and Feel Good on Bare Feet
These stair treads work well on our painted wood stairs. They’re attractive, the edges are sewn over, and the backing doesn’t slip on the stairs. They feel good on bare feet.

The backing is more akin to a bathmat. I was very surprised at how well they stay in place with 2 XL dogs going up and down the stairs. The pile is deep, adding soundproofing as they go running down the stairs, too.Previously I had some actually sticky ones which were a nightmare to clean and were extremely short pile and polyester. These. While looking less practical are more practical than my old ones. They lift easily to vacuum, If I spill tea, they can pop in the wash on low, and come out brilliantly. One of my dogs is struggling with his joints now that he’s nearing 15, and so was concerned he’d perhaps find them too soft, but he’s more firm underfoot that the other type. He used to swivel his feet as he went down, but on these, they’re nice, firmly square footsteps. So I counln’t be happier! everyone in the household loves them!Really easy to install. Literally, open the box and flop them down on each step. I do have 2 tuns on my stairs, so I attempted to cut the 2 spares I had. If the backing is folded to meet, you get a nicer cut through the pile. If bent to be pile to pile, it can scalp it. The rug bit itself doesn’t unravel, but the stitching around the edge does. I simply sealed that with a hot glue gun. It’s a pretty decent job, but would look better on a straight run of stairs.

The ‘TUOJINRUIDA Stair Treads, Non Slip for Wooden Stairs, 8″ x 30″, 15pcs, Stair Mat Set with Anti-Skid TPR Backing Modern Abstract’ arrived in a plain box.It was nice to find these treads had been lightly folded with the top side out meaning that the ends are not curled up when laid. With these treads laid out I have to question the ‘Modern Abstract design’ as mottled carpeting much like these was around decades ago, though not as soft. It is also noticeable that there is repetition of pattern across the tread I have included a picture of.I am not so sure about using these on stairs without some form of adhesive pad to secure them in place even though they are ‘anti-skid’.The treads are very soft underfoot and I would suggest they may be unsuitable where outdoor shoes might be worn.

I wasnât sure what the quality of these would be given that they were such a reasonable price, but Iâm actually quite impressed. The quality is much better than I was expecting, they are very soft underfoot, and they look really nice. I like that theyâre properly finished on the edges, and they are the perfect size. Iâve really got nothing but positive things to say!
