Replacing the existing traditional Deadbolt lock, it works as advertised.
Ordered on the 12/20/24 and received the MOUSETRO Smart Lock the next day – Thanks to Amazon Prime’s second day delivery! Got a chance to install it yesterday.Below is my initial impression of this Smart Lock from MOUSETRO (ZN-S01)1) Installation manual/document/video is adequate for most people as you only just need to put 3-4 components together.2) For my installation just to replace the existing traditional Deadbolt lock, there is no additional hole drawing required on both the door and the door frame. All I have to do is to remove the plastic round collar on the front panel as the existing hole on the door was too small for it.3) Adding the MOUSETRO Smart to the Tuya Smart app was quick and easy for me, I was able to use all 4 unlocking methods to unlock the door w/o any issues. Bluetooth range seems to be good enough for most homes.4) Plan to order the Smart Door Lock Wi-Fi Gateway for controlling the lock remotely5) Alternatively for the home automation, plan to integrate this Bluetooth Tuya Smart lock with my Home Assistance installation locally via Bluetooth only from the open-source projects available on the GitHub.
Absolute garbage! It’s hard to set up, the app is trash, and the “cloud storage” that they try to bully you into buying is questionable at best. Even when you do sign up for the cloud storage it still doesn’t work. I can’t watch ANYTHING in real time. –
I should have just paid a little more for something else…
This lock is DEFINITELY a case of you get what you pay for. This thing is CHEAP and very poorly made. It would never correctly orient itself to my left opening door. It would say unlock when it would actually lock and then when it would try to unlock it would bind up. I was attempting to correct it for the final time when the entire connection for the wire fell off. I was almost locked INSIDE my house. Do not buy this! A little more money will get you DRASTICALLY better quality..

The instructions were clear, and even though I had to download an app, the process was smooth and user-friendly. This set also comes with two actual keys just incase you may ever need one to get past the lock (power outage or something like that Iâd assume is the reason for the keys) but overall, This was a great find! 5/5 on this one!

Followed directions to add members for Bluetooth to be used with phone and it keeps kicking me off when a member is added and to make things worse there is no customer support to contact. sending back in a box after a take a hammer to it. most confusing product to set up and use and I have owned several keyless door locks.
