Top mount closet door track kit
I love this! It works perfectly for my situation. It’s very well built, easy to install, and looks fantastic! I actually got two to hang doors on a 10′ wall. We bought this rail system because our 6 panel oak door weighs 75 lbs each which is more than the rated weight of the rails you buy at a Home Depot or Menards. This was very easy to install and they glide very smooth. We will be buying these again for our other closet. Highly recommend.

It works
This is a less expensive, lighter duty alternative to the Johnson bypass hardware.Pros: it works and is less expensive, a nice pull is includedCons: 1) Screws are too soft. I recommend you hand tighten them. Power tools will shear them right off. 2) No adjustment for plumb. Either your head and side jam are perfectly square, or your reveal will be off.3) No finger room to to set the hanging bolts. You need to use a screwdriver or something similar when mounting the door. Even my wife’s fingers were too large to reach in and set the hanger.4) the included pull looks nice, but doesn’t fit over a ‘standard’ 2 1/8 hole. It will sit flush inside the 2 1/8″ hole which looks nice. We ended up gluing it in place. it is difficult to set the 2 screws included and keep the pull completely flush.Nit picky stuff, but it’s the difference between ‘ Hey it works’ and the quality competitor (Johnson Hdwr).

I have changed the tracks on these sliding doors at least 3 times with Lowes or Home Depot “heavy duty” replacements. This time I spent the extra money to order these. The quality of every part is fantastic. The rollers have 3 wheels with ball bearings and run down the middle of a track instead of hanging off the side. The tracks are thick and strong. The design for hanging the door on the already installed rollers is great.Don’t forget to install the rollers in the tracks BEFORE you hang the track (the first time). Just mentioning for a friend 😉
