Stylish, Bright, and Well-Built – A Great Upgrade for Any Home
This is a review for the VIANIS Black Exterior Lighting Fixtures Wall Mount for House, 2 Pack Dusk to Dawn Outdoor Wall Sconce Lantern with 10W LED Crystal Bubble Glass, Modern Anti-Rust Outside Coach Lights for Porch Garage.This product consists of exterior LED light fixtures with a daylight sensor that automatically turns them on at dusk and off as daylight emerges. We received the 2-pack black version, but it appears to be available as a single fixture and in two other colors.We have similar lights at the front and side doors of our small home. They are fairly weather-worn and boring but get the job done. A few years ago, I installed daylight-sensing LED bulbs in them to light up our stairs for family and guests, especially during the long, dark winters here in the Pacific Northwest.The fixtures arrived in a sizable Amazon box, just large enough to contain the productâs packaging. Inside were two fixtures, instructions, some glass rectangles, and typical hardware, including wire nuts and fine-threaded screws to attach the fixture to a light receptacle. The packaging was typical of big-box hardware store lighting products: white styrofoam and plastic bags. While a pain to dispose of, it effectively protected the product during shipping and is standard for light fixtures.Build Quality:The build quality is excellent. What stood out the most were the glass rectangular diffusers. When I saw the product listing, I expected to be underwhelmed by plastic diffusers – not so. These are hefty, high-quality glass pieces with small bubble inclusions for effect. Very impressive.Overall, the lights are well-built. The only defect I found was small gaps in the powder coating on the inside of the four columns supporting the fixtureâs structure. These were minor and located on the inside, where they are unlikely to be noticed. We didnât consider this a big deal, but I recommend checking your product to ensure there are no similar defects in more visible areas.I initially expected four glass panels (not sure why, as they arenât in the product description). However, the front, back, and sides are open, and we really like this aesthetic – less glass to clean! So, this turned out to be a plus.Unboxing Tip:Be careful when unboxing these, as the glass diffusers are not pre-installed. While they are solid and hefty, they are still glass and could be damaged.LEDs & Longevity Concerns:The LED set is permanently fixed at the top of the lamp, and I do not believe it is replaceable. This is a trend I struggle with. While I understand these fixtures are designed for long lifespans, the idea of discarding an entire fixture due to a failed light source bothers me. This is not unique to this productâgo to any big-box hardware store, and youâll see the same design pattern.If the LEDs fail, I would almost certainly find a way to install a replacement light source, but I have a background in electronics and a well-equipped workshop – a luxury not every consumer has.Installation & Lessons Learned:The glass diffusers do not come pre-installed. Donât do what I did – just go for it without reading the instructions. I had to backtrack and found that you must unscrew four small screws to remove a bottom panel, allowing you to install the diffusers before securing the panel back in place.The vendor includes extra replacement screws, which is a great touch. We all know that once a tiny screw hits the floor, thereâs a 50/50 chance it vanishes into a dimensional portal to join its lost friends – the 10mm socket and the missing sock. I didnât need the extras, but I really appreciate their inclusion.I removed our tired old fixtures (after turning off the power!) and prepped for installation. If youâve installed light fixtures before, this is a typical processânothing unusual to report. However, the included mounting bracket was a little awkward. The bolt holes for attaching the fixture to the wall aligned perfectly with the same holes used to attach the mounting plate to the light receptacle. The plate seems designed for versatility, but I had to use a different set of attachment points to make it work. Ultimately, this proved effective, and the install took about 15 minutes per fixture.Final Thoughts:The effort to install these (which honestly wasnât a big deal) was well worth it. Iâve attached a picture of the light installed on our front porch. My wife was thrilled – if I showed you the before picture, youâd understand why.The light is very bright, no doubt partly because thereâs no exterior glass. To our surprise and delight, we discovered that the diffuser is open at the bottom, allowing light to shine directly downward. This brilliantly illuminates our house number, which was nearly invisible from the street before.Would we uninstall these fixtures after using them? Not a chance! They are a fantastic upgrade to our front and side doors. Itâs amazing how a small change can significantly modernize and improve a homeâs aesthetic. We are VERY pleased with this product.

Nice lights, but smaller than what I expected
These are nice, we’ll made, lights. I took them down as they were just too small for me. I tried to use them on my front door and realized I just need something a little bigger to match my style of home. Forgot to take a photo, but they were pretty bright and the auto on at dusk, off at dawn, worked well. Good quality material as well, felt like a product that would last a long time. I just wiah they came bigger so I can use them as expected.

Love them!
Wow! These VIANIS wall mount sconce lanterns are really striking to look at. So far above the old-style light bulb in a glass cage that we are used to. I love the look. I love that there is no glass to accumulate dead bugs. I love that there is no bulb to change (ever). And I love that we do not have to worry about turning them on or off as they have a dusk to dawn sensor that does that for us. The crystal glass cylinder is unique and looks like champagne bubbles that give off a beautiful warm glow which is actually brighter than I had anticipated and has an average lifetime of 30,000 hours. Installation was a breeze. The mounting plate fit exactly onto the old mount and took very little time or effort to install. The outer housing, made of 100% aluminum and is also anti-rust and waterproof. All in all, a great product! Did I mention that I love them?

Very Nice Ambiance
Receive these lights the other day and already hung them up at my front door in my back door. The powdered black coating seems to be very evenly done and seems to be of good quality. The construction and manufacturing of the light seems to be of good quality. I like that there is actually no bulb. The LEDs are in the top and shine through the cylinder in the center of the light. So unlike traditional lights where you actually see a light bulb. This one all you see is the reflection of the LEDs through the lighting cylinder and the light. The motion sensing is adequate. It could be better but it is adequate enough for my needs. I also like the dusk to Dawn feature so that I don’t have to keep turning my light switch on and off. Very good set of lights for your front and back door or on the sides of your garage. Just wish that they came in the 5000k color.
