Solid block of wood
Perfect for my application and looked at many. Most were hollow and looked ok but this was solid. The finish is nice, a little raw but color is what I liked. Easy to mount and VERY solid. Would buy this again.

Solid and Secure Fireplace Manel.
Wanted a solid Mantel for my newly built Electric Fireplace. I ordered another mantel and it was hollow and not well built and had to send back. Ordered the 48″ Mantel in the Dark Brown. Item is very nice and rustic looking. The one I received had a thin, mild crack the length of the mantel. Upon contacting the supplier, was told it’s part of the “Farmhouse Rustic Look” and it comes with a 2 year warranty. To be honest, I was a little concerned but after installing, it really does have a nice rustic look to it. I wasn’t totally happy with the finish so I refinished using a water based Red Mahogany Stain. I think it came out great.

The Manuel itself is great. The plastic anchors supplied are not. Currently we are replacing them as the mantel began to sag.

Well weliked the mantel but was listed as black but when we got it , looked more grayish than black. So sent it back , not only that price went up so to trade it would be tough

Colour does not match description and photos. Stain on wood was uneven and comes off easily (one wipe with a wet rag and colour fades). Wood quality is heavy and solid along with the frame, but my piece had holes and gaps and cracks in multiple places. I was disappointed considering the money I paid. Poor overall quality control and workmanship.
