Lovely but the smell…
I was looking for a neutral/cream colored cotton throw for my living room. I liked the looks of this one, from the photos at least, and decided to order.I love the pattern and texture of the blanket and the fringe, which makes the throw look a little more expensive.It is heavier weight than what I expected, and the quality appears to be good.Here’s the reason I took off a star – the smell. Out of the package, the blanket had a horrible odor. Can’t even really describe it, maybe a chemical kind of scent. I put it in the washer and washed on a gentle setting, using a scented detergent and fabric softener. The throw still smelled. I washed it a second time in a different detergent. It still had a little odor to it. I went ahead and dried it on the lowest heat setting on my dryer. Those lint balls in my photo – yeah, they’re from the blanket. I cleaned my lint filter twice!Hopefully, the throw will hold up. I wanted to replace our heavier fleece winter throws with something a bit lighter weight that would last throughout the summer.Nice price point, if you can get past the smell.

Iâm surprised at the negative reviews for this product. For example, people talking about the amount of lint after washing. A cotton blanket should be treated the same way you would treat brand new towels âthereâs going to be lint and you shouldnât wash it with anything else. Anyone who does that must be inexperienced in washing. I washed this on warm and dried on low heat. It came out wrinkle free. The colors were true to the images on Amazon. It is a well-made product. I am surprised people also say itâs snagsâ any material will snag if you put it in the wash with say buttons or zippers, or you have un filed nails or you have a cat; otherwise this is a well-made product and I am very pleased with my purchase especially for the price and it is 100% cotton! The majority of products are either polyester or acrylic . Some people say itâs rough. I am not quite sure because itâs a woven product and you can see the texture in the images . It has a wonderful feel. And for a woven product has a very good feel. It would make a nice blanket to use when youâre watching TV on a cook chili or evening and Iâm using it as a throw on my sofa. Ps mine had no strange smell, whatever in fact, it was rather pleasantâ almost as if it been washed and old-fashioned baby soap like Downy

Feels rough on the skin. After reading a few reviews stating that washing with softener didnât help, I decided this product wasnât for me.

Good quality. I very much also like that it’s 100% cotton – since so much on the market is some kind of plastic. There herringbone weave is smooth. I have the beige and cream – very attractive. it’s not soft like the plastic fleece or like satin but it’s comfortable – not rough, no problem on bare skin. This was a good purchase. Glad I bought it. It could easily also be worn as a shawl.
