Low profile, no loops, Grandpaw Dawg approved
Unlike other stair treads, these are a very thin, low profile with no edges to catch feet or paws on – so low I don’t even notice a height difference when walking up. Also unlike other stair treads, these are a woven or formed product with an embossed design with no carpet loops or strands to catch on doggy toenails – Grandpaw Dawg has had it with catching his toenails on carpet loops. These treads stick great and provide the grip our best friend needs to safely travel upstairs. If I could give these a higher than 5 star rating I would. They are a great price-point, but a real value for elderly dogs and I highly recommend them.As you can see in my photo, I cleaned each step with Lysol and thoroughly dried it. I measured the total distance left over on my steps after deducting the 30 inch wide tread, halved it, and used a measuring tape and masking tape to mark the left hand side, so each step tread was centered on my stairs. They adhered very nicely and are secure.

Good Purchase
They look very nice on the stairs. Only problem is the adhesive does not hold for all of them.

Wow – these are quality!
Fantastic stair treads! I reviewed so many and was utterly confused about which ones to get. SOOOO glad I picked these. As always they arrived fast. When I took them out of the box I was concerned because they were folded in half, but we layed them flat and they were fine. The guy who installed them said they were really easy to put down and the adhesion works great! The treads feel and look like excellent quality – thick enough to feel substantial, but not so thick that you’re tripping over them. We feel so much safer doing the stairs now! I think they will hold up well over time. One thing to note – on the front edge you can see a thin strip of white which is the adhesive strip – this bothered me but was a super easy fix – use a furniture marker, sharpie marker or magic marker and run it over that strip – takes care of it totally! And it only took a few minutes to do. Worth it for the quality/price point of these treads!

Nice and cheap, but dirt shows up like CRAZY!
Cheaply priced and pretty and sticky enough. Definitely gets the job done. Our fatty pants dog refused to go up the wood stairs because she was afraid of slipping, but now she scales them with the finess and eagerness of a mountain goat. Careful with pets, etc, because dirt shows up on this thing like nobodies business! Obvs not a design issue, but just something to consider.

Needs more adhesive tape
Adhesion was lacking, and I had to go to the warehouse store to purchase more carpet tape. It’s relatively thin, but the pattern is pretty, and I hope they will last a while. They are challenging to vacuum due to grooves in the pattern.

Cheap felt
Cheap and attracts hair

I’m really glad I found these!
We have bare, hardwood stairs and my old dog has been slipping and falling down them quite a bit now that he’s getting up there in age. I was worried he would fall one day and get really hurt but I really didn’t want to take away from the character of the house by carpeting the stairs. Apart from that, the landings at the top and bottom are ceramic tile and hardwood, so it really wasn’t an option. I came across these and figured I’d give them a try. I can say I’m very impressed! They come with a plastic backing, which you peel off before placing the carpet where you want it. It sticks, but is completely removable if you happen to lay it wrong. The back seems like it’s probably the same stuff they use for the reusable lint roller things. If you want to really stick it on the stairs good, there is also some double sided carpet tape included, however I find that even with cats, dogs, and kids (hence the hair ALREADY on them lol) it stays put just fine, no slipping or movement at all. It says you can vacuum them as well as wash them in the washer, but I have yet to do that. I tried to show all the different angles in my pictures and video so you can really get a good idea of how it looks. In the last pictures, I’ve pulled it up and then put it back down so you can see that it easily goes back into place and there’s no lifting. I feel like it’s a nice little upgrade too, if you’re looking to give your stairs a little face-lift and don’t wanna spend an arm and a leg. We went with the dark brown option and it matched very well with my dark brown strained stairs. The pile isn’t very high at all, as you can see in my picture, but it sort of has a feel similar to the carpeting in a vehicle so I’m assuming that will help with the wear, being that stairs are high traffic areas. I will update if I encounter any issues later on.

Easy to installâ¦just start with a clean surface. I had to order 2 sets because we have 18 steps, which is fine since that gives me some extras to have on hand, and these are also good for narrow or small doorways where a traditional throw rug may not work. Theyâre soft to walk on. One word of caution tho- if you have pets (especially pets with white/light hair) you will be sweeping/vacuuming these a lot. ðð¼ââï¸ð¤·ð¼ââï¸

We used these on our bamboo staircase. They provided the stability for people to walk down without slipping. Our stairs are older & a little shorter than most treads. So if you walk down quick & have big feetâ¦.well, ask my sister-in-lawâ¦she fell down them so we added these pads. They made a huge difference. Safety safety safety.

I like these step treads. Not too thick. My son’s dog would not go on our slippery hardwood stairs that go downstairs to get outside. No problem once we put the treads on. I also feel more secure on the steps. We just put them down so I don’t know how they will hold up but I really don’t see any problems arising.Good price too.

Bought for new steps. Installed easy, stick well

POOR POOR POOR excuse for sticky back – they feel like jelly on the back and do not stick at all. They are terrible and look like a trip hazard to me. Will return and buy something different.

Fantastic! If I could give this product 10 stars, I would âï¸ðâï¸ðâï¸ðâï¸ðâï¸ðOur older dog would go down the stairs but lost her confidence to come back up the stairs. We would have to go pick her up and carry her up the stairs. Both my husband and I hurt our backs carrying her up the stairs. Check out this quick video clip of her now , running up the stairs like a champion. So grateful! Installed in just minutes and was super easy. Looks great too and cushy on the feet. So happy ð
