gulrear Sliding Door Air Conditioner Kit with Dual Hose
$37.99
Product Overview
The gulrear Sliding Door Air Conditioner Kit with Dual Hose is a high-performance replacement vent system engineered specifically for dual hose portable air conditioners. Designed to address the limitations of standard factory-installed window kits—particularly in homes with sliding doors or tall windows—this solution delivers a secure, adjustable seal that maximizes cooling efficiency during hot summer months. Unlike generic accessories that often fall short in height and adaptability, this kit offers extended reach and modular flexibility to fit larger openings with precision. It’s fully compatible with portable AC units featuring 5.9-inch diameter exhaust and intake hoses, ensuring optimal airflow without dangerous leaks or energy-wasting gaps. Whether you’re cooling a living room, bedroom, office space, or any area accessed through a sliding door, this kit provides a practical, DIY-friendly upgrade that outperforms off-the-shelf alternatives.
Key Features
- Dual Hose Compatibility: Specifically designed for dual hose portable air conditioners, supporting both intake and exhaust functions to ensure balanced airflow and peak cooling performance.
- Adjustable Length & Modular Design: Total kit length of 250 cm (98 inches), with a maximum adjustable span of 87 inches (220 cm), allowing customization to fit various window and door heights. The system uses four interlocking plates—two outer and two inner—connected via butterfly screws for precise length control.
- Optimized for Tall Sliding Windows & Doors: Engineered to accommodate taller installations where standard kits are insufficient, making it suitable not only for sliding glass doors but also for high-rise windows and custom openings.
- Easy Assembly & Quick Installation: Comprises four lightweight plastic plates—two outer and two inner—that connect seamlessly using provided butterfly screws. Users can install all four plates or fewer based on their specific opening size, reducing waste and simplifying setup.
- Secure Seal with High-Quality Sealing Tape: Includes durable sealing tape to block drafts around the edges, enhancing energy efficiency and preventing cooled air from escaping while maintaining consistent indoor temperatures.
- Hose Adapters Included: Comes with two precision-cut 5.9-inch diameter exhaust hose adapters that ensure a snug, leak-free connection between your portable AC unit and the vent cut-outs.

Benefits & Use Cases
This vent kit is especially valuable in residential settings where traditional window seals fail due to height restrictions or non-standard door dimensions. Homeowners with sliding glass doors leading to patios, balconies, decks, or large open-plan rooms will find this product indispensable. By creating an airtight connection between the portable AC unit and the doorway or window frame, it eliminates uncomfortable drafts and ensures efficient cooling throughout the space. The modular design allows users to install only as many plates as needed—no excess material wasted—making it ideal for spaces ranging from compact apartments to expansive family rooms. The included high-grade sealing tape enhances long-term reliability, even under continuous operation during peak summer heat. Additionally, the lightweight yet durable construction simplifies handling and repositioning if required.
For renters or homeowners who frequently relocate their portable air conditioner between rooms, this kit offers unmatched versatility. Its compatibility with both single and dual hose models (with full performance benefits when used with dual hose systems) makes it a future-proof investment. The intuitive assembly process requires no special tools or technical expertise—just follow the step-by-step instructions in the included user manual. Whether you’re replacing an aging factory kit or upgrading from a basic window seal, this system delivers superior performance, durability, and ease of use.
Important Notes
Before purchasing, confirm that your portable air conditioner features dual hose functionality with matching 5.9-inch exhaust and intake outlets located on the back of the unit. These outlets must be spaced appropriately to align with the hose adapters included in this kit. The product is intended solely for ventilation system replacement and does not modify or upgrade the air conditioning unit itself. Installation should always be performed according to the provided user manual to maintain safety standards and warranty compliance. While the kit supports both single and dual hose models, maximum cooling efficiency and dehumidification performance are achieved only when paired with a true dual hose portable AC. Note that this listing includes only the ventilation components—the portable air conditioner must be purchased separately.

Arrived broken… Decided to keep it
Seems to be complaint I see on the reviews. Too bad! It seems well made but it’s packaged in a box that is too big and the product bounces around inside and breaks. Put some packaging material in the box and this issue will go away.Received the replacement. All is well. Will keep the broken sample too… Found the 5.9 inch replacement mount for sale separately. And you cant get this model right now. Also the vent holes are spaced apart more than the window version. Will cut this one to fit my window. Its built well so thats why I will keep it and a backup for other window sizes or even a slider. Upgraded to 5 stars. Again Its well built… Thick plastic and not brittle.

Works for apartment sliding doors
Got this for my portable into and so far itâs holding up, comes with excess foam to use which is nice

Works pretty well, but would be better if it fit my hoses
It took me a few minutes to figure out how to connect the pieces together, as the instructions aren’t super clear. But once I got the pieces connected, it works pretty well. The wingnuts are nice for easy size adjustment and removal of the kit from a window or door. There are some gaps as it sits in my slider window, but I think part of the problem is the window itself is not level. The main problem is the hose connectors did not fit my Whynter ARC-14S portible AC hoses, so I ended up just duct taping the hoses to the connectors. I would have given this 5 stars if they fit my hoses.

No liners or foam inserts to go around the plastic hose blocks in the door
Pros: The main plastic insert is simple to assembly and adjust to the height of my door. The adapters to the hose work well and are also simple to screw onto the correctly sized hose. The thin roll of sticky foam to go between the glass panes of the door also appear to work well, but I don’t want to risk getting glue residue on my rental door. The plastic components and wing-nut sizing method works well and feels pretty durable individually.Cons: While the parts are simple to assembly, the actual instructions were hard to follow and might be frustrating for someone not in a hurry. The hose connection plate that is in the door does not sit inside the frame well as the hose adapters are the same width. This means I had to find some stiff foam inserts to sit between the hose connection plate and the door frame or else when the sliding door is closed there is too much force on the adapter and it pops off the hose connection plate. Also, there is no foam inserts included with the plates to line the kit to assist with insulation. I had enough from another project to test the assembly, but I’ll need to go find more to line the whole door. The assembly once installed doesn’t feel very stable or durable as a whole as it doesn’t really contact the inside surface of the door frame, except for my stiff foam insert. It will work for me right now and is pretty good for the price, but I don’t think I will buy it again or recommend it to others.

Vent
Took me a few mins to get it together when I got the accordion style vents hooked up I was concerned I would rip it it did not. Very sturdy worked perfectly

not sized to fit common AC Hoses
TL;DR – Don’t waste your money. The online directions conveniently omit that an adaptor might be needed … turns out my Hisense AC has a hose diameter that’s the same size as the “adaptor”. So while it’s possible I might be able to use this otherwise flimsy and poorly built product, it sure would be nice to know (1) that I needed more parts ahead of time and (2) that the manufacturer spend an extra 50 cents providing a useable range of adapter sizes (anyone know what 5.9″ is, not me).So unless a local hardware store has something to connect two 6″ plastic pipes together, i’ll be using the free return to send this POS back.Sad thing that there’s no other dual hose options … guess I’ll just get some cardboard – likely to be more insulating (did I mention the gaps?) and less flimsy.

Not good for dual hose units
It barely fits in my 3ft window. I had to make 2 cuts just to make it work.

# NOT THE ONLY PERSON DOING THIS
When you dont have a bedroom window……….. This is perfect

Thought it was a little pricy and the instructions could of been better

Exactly the solution I needed for my portable air con. It would be great if more insulation foam tape was included though.

The product was the only item available for the two hose AC (whyntor). The hose connection didnât work with the AC hoses. So I improvised by using pieces that came with the AC along with this product.I wish the material was a bit stronger and the seal tape was a bit thicker to close or the gaps.On the whole, I am happy with the product and the end result.

I almost had it setup but guess what, the inlet hose wonât fit since the butterfly screw and nut will prevent it from being properly inserted.
