Works as Great
Pros:- it works, after opening the air sealed bag and letting the foam gain some air, it expanded nicely of which I then placed into the bean bag.- when the foam expanded, 1 bag (5lbs) expands into about a standard pillowcase worth of foam, I used about 2.25 bags to fill the blue bean bag chair (see image) along with the existing fill the blue chair already had.- it’s comfortable and seems to hold it’s shape, I can see the foam collecting air back and regaining its structure.- not sure if this is a “pro”, but it does smell exactly like a freshly unsealed memory foam mattress, this smell gives me confidence that it’ll likely maintain it’s shape for awhile (I hope)- the kids seems to be enjoying the once sad bean bag but now that it’s gain some volume the kids are playing with it more again.Cons:- some of the foam pieces has plastic attached to it, which depending on your bean bag it could impact comfort, it doesn’t effect mines though.- not necessarily a con, but I thought it was strange that there was no information that came along with the foam, no packaging, no upc code, no brand, no piece of paper that says “don’t return this product to your retailer, call this number instead!” I’m all in for cheaper products and less packaging waste but having zero information is definitely sketchy.Other thoughts:- if your bean bag is like mines, the zipper to unopen the bean bag might appear broken, it is not! I used a fork to enter the eye of the zipper and was able to maneuver the zipper with ease.- The bean bag was a gift from my best friend to my kids, but my best friend have since passed away. I didn’t want to throw the bean bag chair away since it has sentimental value, so I decided to give it a second life and am not disappointed with how this turned out. I’m sure my best friend is happy with how this turned out too if they were still around to see it as it’s brought smiles back to my kids faces.

Exactly meets description.
Product met expectations and was exactly as described. The product appeared “flat” at first but when bag opened the foam instantly started to expand. We used product in a wrestling dummy, 20 lbs filled regular sized dummy full. I expect the product to last.

It’s not easy pulling all that apart. It’s almost as if you need to pick apart every piece so it can fluff up. Otherwise it stays flat. But it’s ok. There’s no smell. It feels ok. It just took me a little while to get it all fluffed up and ready. If your filling a bean bag chair, get two bags. 🩷Update; one bag did smell but I let it sit out for 24hours and it was fine after 🩷

1. The majority of the 15 lbs. of shredded foam I bought were dark, charcoal grey. Not the colors shown. Moreover, the dark grey and light yellow foam contrast highly. If the fabric of what you’re stuffing is not opaque, you will see a random pattern of dark grey and light areas through the fabric.The colors are falsely advertised.2. The are quality control issues with the cutting of the foam. Several of the light yellow pieces of foam have a tougher outer layer, visible by the shine on the surface. It’s like a rubbery skin that makes the foam less pliable.On one of the pieces I observed what looked like black printing.These “top layers” are significantly tougher than the foam itself, making them unsuitable.3. Finally, at least 60-70%of the pieces are large.This means that one can see pieces/shapes of foam protruding from the surface of the stuffed fabric. A finer grain, or smaller pieces and more uniformly cut would have been far preferable.Not as illustrated in the imagery where uniform square shapes are highlighted.3. I’m now stuck with 15 lbs. of fully expanded, poorly shredded foam that is utterly useless. The cardboard box I’m holding it in is 34″ L x 22″ W x 20″ H. What do I do with it? Can you recycle foam? This feels like a moral dilemma I didn’t pay for.There are many other vendors who sell foam. There are also many other vendors who sell what is shown in their imagery.I hope this review saves you time, money and inconvenience.
