    I really like this oven!!!
First, I love that this does not heat my kitchen like my oven does. The preheat time is fast, and cooking time is also fast. I haven’t tried any of the programs. I started with a few of the included recipes, which I followed to the letter, then I started experimenting with those recipes to see how they work with other foods. The grilled asparagus recipe is an excellent one to start with. My asparagus came out wonderfully, but I found it is good to keep an eye on doneness until I understand how this oven works. After the asparagus, I tried salmon with the same method and it was perfect. As were the hamburgers and then meatloaf I tried next. I think one good point to this oven is that there is no one correct way to make anything. I really like the grill – it cooks quickly and efficiently. I suggest learning how to adjust the temp of the upper and lower elements – that is important if a food seems to be cooking too fast on top or on bottom. I have since baked cookies – they cooked in about 7 minutes per batch. French toast is amazing as was bread pudding. Get the hang of a few of the included recipes and then go from there.I even made really good 5 minute a day artisan bread. I have a small vintage Descoware Dutch oven that fits into the Nuwave oven. I baked a small loaf in the Nuwave exactly as I would in my regular oven and the bread was excellent. And I didn’t overheat my house. The oven isn’t complicated. I know there are an overwhelming number of ways to set it, and too many programs, and it all seems intimidating, but really, take the time to go over the instructions and understand what does what. I doubt I will ever use any of the programs – it is too easy to set it to bake, or roast, or airfry and then set time and temp, and maybe the top or bottom elements. I just check for doneness occasionally and it is so easy. That it will hold at very low temps is a real bonus to me. I like to make tempeh and finding anything that will hold a temp below 100 is amazing. Also, it is not huge – I have a smaller home and this fits on my counter without overwhelming anything. But I still have a lot of room inside to do about anything I want to. It does get hot, but I don’t touch the top or sides when I use it and it doesn’t radiate a lot of heat into the space around it.On the con side, I don’t think this is the best airfryer that I have ever had – my old Paula Dean airfryer beats this hands down. It’s okay, but I think its power is in replacing my huge oven for all those baking, roasting and toasting tasks. I also am not impressed with the rack that comes with it. I read reviews that said that rack is not really sturdy and I have to agree. With light foods it’s fine, but I had a casserole on that rack and the weight made the rack sag and it fell out of its slots on the side of the oven. The company I bought this oven from responded immediately to my request for a new rack (excellent customer service!!) but it did the same thing, so I have to say it is a design error. But this is not a deal breaker. This oven is too good, so I will always use the air fryer basket/rack for heavy things and the regular racks for light things. That’s just not a big deal.I am somewhat a gourmet cook, and I am so pleased with what I can do with this oven. Just be patient with it. I now use it pretty much every day and I would recommend it.

    Near perfect
The only problem I had was with the probe, it seems to be reading the temp of the air instead of just the meat. I mean I stuck it in pretty deep, maybe it’s only intended for turkeys and thick roasts? Im not sure. But when I put it in a steak for example it doesent work right. No biggie I just got myself a meat thermometer which I needed anyway. I’ll just use the probe for birds and thick roasts, I’m pretty good at cooking anyway so it’s not like that’s the sole reason I bought it.As for the good it’s everything. Everything is good. I’m actually cooking ribs right now. It’s amazing and u really can make anything so long as it physically fits inside the oven. Cleaning is easy. Although I will say this if ur expecting an air fryer this is more of an oven. It does have an air fry setting that works VERY well and a basket but again it’s an oven it’s not like the smaller air fryer where it feels like ur actually deep frying something and pull the basket up. If that’s what u want get a ninja but I promise u this is better because it basically replaces like 4 appliances including ur oven. This is more for smaller families and couples. If I had more than 5 people in my family that I had to cook for every night I wouldn’t use it. But because it’s just me, my grandpa and my dog it’s fantastic.I’m training to be a chef and have experience in the industry for over a decade so just let me say that from a professional standpoint this thing really is just the best I’ve seen out there as far as home appliances go and I actually wouldn’t mind having one in my restuarant. My favorite thing that I’ve made thus far has to be the ribs that I’m making tonight. This is my second time and the first time I cooked them in an hour on 400 and they came out perfect. Super tender AND juicy. I’m talking fork tender.I honestly spend way less time cooking on the stove now. I mainly just use the stove for side dishes and breakfast eggs or oatmeal.U truly haven’t lived until you’ve roasted a few rib eye steaks on this baby. I pretty much roast or bake red potatoes and mushrooms every night with my dinner. If ur like me and want to save money on calories by eating at home this is the answer. U can trust this baby to handle ur recipes while u watch TV or work out. If u do use the probe correctly the cool thing about it is it will actually turn the oven off when it hits ur desired temp, so u can trust the oven within reason not to burn ur kitchen to the ground if ur momentarily distracted. Though as a chef I must add that I always recommend caution and safety, I’m just saying this oven is a smart oven and I do think it’s a bit under rated. This device should be way more popular. Maybe it’s the name that’s prevented it from catching on?I’m truly surprised Bravo hasn’t become a verb by this point. It’s weird to me that this oven is already a couple of years old. Unless it breaks down in a few months I can’t possibly see myself being dissatisfied.

It cooks well, but fan is noisy.
This is really a convection oven, not an air fryer. So far, we’ve had it for two years. We do not use the air fryer basket. We cook (set on air fry) fried fish, shrimp, scallops, chicken and reheat pizza using parchment paper over the absolutely wonderful heavy grill pan. The food ends up being delightfully crunchy. We intend to keep the grill pan forever and have used it on our outside grill. The oven is easy to clean and the bottom removable tray is helpful. I hardly ever use our large kitchen oven. The instructions are a bit hard to comprehend and it took time for us to figure out how to shut the preheat off so we can set the oven correctly. We can cook toast but have to add an extra minute to get it brown. The fan is very noisy, I’ve hit it to get the noise level down. I guess a ball bearing or something is out of alignment. We paid around $150 for it and probably will get a new one in a few years.

    Great Air Fryer Toaster Oven
My previous toaster air fryer gave out after five years of constant use. It was a total replacement for my oven and was used multiple times daily. There are so many options available but it was necessary to find one that would fit the available space. The Nuwave Bravo XL Air Fryer Toaster Smart Oven is wonderful. The size is perfect and so much lighter. It does not get as hot and the fan is on the side rather than the top which means my overhead fan can draw out the heat so much easier. The preheat time is shorter, and the overall time cooking is much shorter. My food is cooked thoroughly but so much quicker. The menu is very easy to navigate assuring the correct time and temperature will be used. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.
