It went together easily, but you really need to pay close attention to the pictures.
The directions said that it takes two people to put it together but I did it by myself without any problems, as long as I looked closely at the pictures before connecting the shelves to the sides. The locking system made it so easy, and forgiving when I made a mistake. Remember that the ugly side faces out when you put the folded cardboard on the back of your compled shelves. It was attached with little screws instead of little nails. Even though it was more work to attach the cardboard, I appreciated that it would stay on better and longer. The finished product is cute and fits the space perfectly. I am definitely going to attach it to the wall though as it’s a room that my little grandchildren play in. Overall, it was a good value. It is fairly sturdy, though if it were just a little thicker it would be even better.

VERY HAPPY
I am very happy with the purchase. Arrived quicker than expected. I bought two to place on each side of a window. Measuerments provided were accurate. It was pretty easy to put together. It took me longer than they directions suggested, but I am VERY new to putting things like this together. They are very sturdy and look so pretty. I was a little surpised that it didn’t come with the white covers to hide the silver hardware. For my use, it is fine and they will be covered by the items on the shelves. But I feel like it is worth mentioning. Also, you will need your own screwdriver – it comes with one but it is SO small and hurts your hand. I am very happy with my purchase and would purchase again if we need more shelves.

Fine, but not great
Bought 3 of these, converted a spare room into a library. Pros: These seem sturdy and sure will be fine bookcases for the price, and they look pretty nice. So far there are two cons: the part indicator in the instructions is blacked out so you really have to match the diagram with the physical parts. Also the back panel is held together with tape that immediately starts to peel off. I fixed it by stapling strips of cardboard over the seams and into the back of the shelves.

I ordered two and built one last night, so this is just day one. It seems sturdy, my cats have jumped on it and nothings broken. It’s about 71″ tall for me which is strange but also fine. The instructions are simple enough but step 6-7 appears to be a lie that you’ll just have to mess around and find out though, but that was a minor hiccup. The whole assembly is IKEA based with those little round metal screw inserts and dowel pegs. Wood glue will be your friend. Theres a generous amount of extra parts but also I now have an extra giant board that I don’t know what to do with. It’s not even a shelf, it’s one of the larger side pieces. The tolerances leave gaps that are more than I was hoping but less than I’ll tolerate. All in all, it’s fine.

Easy to assemble, is substantial in quality for price and looks nice !!
This arrived at my home in a well-packed shipping carton and the parts were all in good condition, parts packages sensibly labeled and assembly components stickered for easy lay-out and follow-along with the assembly instructions. Assembly instructions were mostly images and labels which were VERY easy to follow and, although the instruction say it takes two people 1 hour to assemble, was able to do it solo in ~30-40 mins. The weight of wood and trim pieces is of decent quality for the cost of the bookshelf and it was dimensionally ‘as advertised’ after set-up. Would definitely buy another of this manufacturers knock-down furniture pieces again in the future !

You get what you pay for
Only put 5 stars to bring it to the top. The cherry color is very red, not a natural cherry as shown in the picture. It is all particle board and very flimsy, it sways when fully put together.

Bad quality, awful assembly
Pros: 1-Beautiful design, as pictured.2-Can be elevated using wallpaper.Cons: 1- It comes in a million pieces and you have to be extremely cautious while putting it together because the material is cheap and breaks easily. The assembly needs 2 persons at various points. My husband and I were very careful and still ended up with broken parts. Would not recommend.
