Convenient for family
Having 2 teens and people who help with our pets at times, this is very convenient. Allowing the option of a fingerprint, keys, or codes gives both long term access as well as short term access as needed. My kids and mother in law love that they donât have to keep up with a key. My 85 yo mother in law was in awe of how easy it was to use. She said, âwe really are living in the future, arenât we?â ð My only complaint is that the blue tooth connection does work well if you arenât connected with a smart home device. But with the options of codes and fingerprint access, thatâs ok.

Finger print scanner is a bit quirky. Seems to work sometimes, but not always. No wifi, so only works within Bluetooth range.

It took me longer than expected to install this, as my friend was going to do the deed and took forever to actually install it. (She’s the one that said it’s easy) Months later, I have a great high tech deadbolt!!! I love the fact that I have multiple ways to unlock, and that it auto locks because sometimes I’m on my way out of town and have that “Did I leave the stove on” kind of moment about “Did I lock the front door?” and when you’re already 100 miles away… No more!

Excellent solution for a frequently used door.
I got this for the door between the garage and the house, mostly because that is the only door that doesn’t require active pushing or pulling to unlock the deadbolt. This wouldn’t work on my front door because I have to pull that door pretty hard to allow the deadbolt to slide. The motor in this thing wouldn’t be nearly strong enough to overcome the pressure the door puts on the deadbolt. So the door I installed it on is perfect because my whole family uses this door and so rather than make keys for all of them, I just registered their fingerprints (it holds up to 50 prints) and they can open the door while our hands are full of groceries or other bags. It’s simple to lock either on the panel or from the app. I love the auto-lock feature which has a timer setting so I can have it auto-lock after a few seconds or up to 30 minutes, so even if we forget to turn the deadbolt, it will automatically lock it. The motion is smooth and it’s quiet when it locks or unlocks. The fingerprint reader is sensitive and quick. The kit came with a standard round door handle with no lock, which makes sense because if you lock the door handle, it defeats the convenience of the fingerprint lock. I left my lockable handle on the door just to have that little extra bit of security when we’re all home together, but I’m rethinking that since our muscle-memory of locking the handle has gotten us a couple times when we leave the house, forcing us to drag out our keys even though our fingerprints (or the app) unlocks the deadbolt effortlessly. It was easy to install, though I did have to consult the customer service help line for how to add an authorized user to the app. They explained it very simply and now my wife and I both have the app and are able to manage the lock with our phones using the included bluetooth dongle. Without the dongle, the lock can only be managed locally when we’re near the lock, but with the dongle, we can manage it from anywhere. Overall, I love this lock. I might need to try to fix our front door so I can get one to work on that deadbolt as well.
