Simple but got all you need to make a great espresso
I researched a lot on buying a good and trouble free espresso machine. This one fits right in. It’s got temp control, descale and manual mode to brew for any length. This to me completes it.As for the espresso quality, it’s just as good as any machine. It’s a simple process and any machine with adequate pressure will make a decent espresso. This one does what it’s supposed to do. I’m just hoping it is durable cuz it’s certainly a keeper

I am an old, rank amateur barista. One of my best, earliest memories is my old man smiling and handing a 3-year old me a cup of heavily sugared and creamed coffee, like it was nectar from Olympus. So I’ve been drinking coffee a long time and made it a lot of ways. Lately I used a mokapot, French press or Keurig. After spending a silly amount of time considering alternatives, I bought this espresso machine together with Shardor’s 64mm grinder, which is super, and the standard accessories. Then I joined a coffee bean club, and I am having fun experimenting. The espresso machine is easy to operate. I like the ability to adjust the temperature and duration of brewing. I like the pressure basket in the portafilter. Very forgiving. But I’ve already ordered a bottomless pf so I can see more — hope it fits. Obviously this machine is an order of magnitude less sophisticated and the espresso it produces much less refined than machines costing more, but I stayed within my budget and got the better grinder. Note that the steam wand is a smaller diameter than some others; the replacement tip I bought on Temu didn’t fit.
