Two Person Job
Repair on 2011 Grand Caravan. Dorman Video helpful, recommend viewing more You Tube to get more information. Tools very helpful. The Dorman part worked better then original cheap part. Two people required when installing the handle back on the door. It’s tight and awkâward hand positions trying to hold,everything and then find and set the two bolts on the front side; the back one is easy. Mechanical minds no issue, for me. Getting something in and out of a zip lock bag can be a challenge. But mission accomplished, door handle secure and working.

Amazing, Perfect Fix!
This little piece of metal is pure genius! I can’t say enough good things about it, Wow! Local Napa wanted 5 times as much for same thing without pry set, what a scam! For 15 bucks, some time ( I had to fight with screw for an hour because head striped-out ), and a Lot of Patience, it was well worth it. Door opens with ease.

I bought 2 kits as both sliding rear door handles on my 2010 Dodge Caravan fell off, literally, as I was trying to open doors. Have had the van for 6 yrs and with the price of vehicles these days I’m keeping it. So, what’s a girl to do because a body would charge way too much. Fortunately, as weird as that sounds, this happens enough on Dodge caravans that this company decided to profit on it. Smart. The metal refit is sturdy and the star screwdriver too. The plastic crow bar things to get the interior door panel off are useless. Use a nail puller with tape over the end and then use your hands to pull til you think it’ll break and then it comes off. Directions given with kit are good. Follow them. Maybe watch a video online too like I did. Good luck. It’ll save ya a buck. ð

Works great. Just did my second sliding door.
Handle broke on our 09 caravan about 6 months ago. Luckily I found this kit. It took me about an hour and 15 minutes to install and get everything back together. Most of the time is spent trying to pry apart the plastic on the door. It’s a bit of a pain to get all the plastic trim removed to access what you need to do the repair.The kit comes with everything you need except an 8mm socket wrench.

This product is really just what I needed to repair a weak point on Dodge and Chrysler productsThe last time one of the doors failed I had to make a part to replace the broken part (well known week point on older cars). This Dorman repair part comes with instructions, although You Tube has a video which shows it. comes with a selection of plastic panel tools, and a torque screw driver, plus a plastic spacdr to hold door handle open, you will need a long reach socket 11 mm? Tip is to pack door void under the handle with bubble wrap as the screws holding the door can drop and they are gone, or the 11mm socket yes I lost one. Remember to attach the cable and make sure it is located in the fork, test the door and make sure it opens from outside before fitting door panels. Job will take around 2-3 hours if this is the first time you have done it around an hour if you have done it before.

This fixed the weakness with my 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan sliding door handles, Exactly like it said and saved me hundreds of dollars. With the instructions installation is a fairly straight forward this kit x2 was well worth the money and only took me about an hour to install on each door. Such an amazing product to solve this problem!!!Do yourself a favour and have a telescope magnetic retrieval tool for when you inevitably drop a screw or rachet down in the door like I did……..110% satisfied
