Works great around my house
My old outdoor lights were either burnt out or really dull/old bulbs that didnt light the area well. They were also super old incandescent bulbs so they used a lot of electricity all while doing a poor job. They’re retired now and these new motion sensor bulbs are great. I just leave the switch on and they are automatically off during the day, and only turn on when there is motion detected at night. You can toggle so they are always-on at night too (still auto-off during daylight). The light is really bright and uniform over the ground and they are efficient. Very happy with these lamps!

Overally Simple to install and Use
Wow, if I could give this a 6 star rating I would. The installation was just remove and replace. No settings, no training just unscrew old light and install this one. These are floodlight size so make sure you are replacing like with like and then just replace and leave the poser on. The light provides a bright well spread light for my entry way (which is not small and leads up to a double door). The beam is very bright, not sure what 15W energy in this LED bulb equates to in lumens but it is excellent for my needs and reasonable considering you get two of them.

Just got these lights….had them for a few days. They are very nice, nice clean bright white light! No yellow tint to them at all. I have them above my front porch, recessed into my ceiling near my front door. I was worried the the sensors in the bulbs wouldn’t be able to detect motion until you’re right up near the door, but no…it detects about 10 feet from the door…its perfect! They stay on for about five minutes or so. Definitely a great buy. I wish I would’ve gotten these years ago.

This flood light doesnât light for every leaf that flutters by but you need to be pretty close before it lights up. Light isnât overly bright but adequate. The light I had previously installed was too sensitive and extremely bright so I guess this is best alternative.

Works well
I use this as a motion light at my back door. It works very well and doesn’t detect motion inside the house. The light stays on for a good 5 minutes which allows us to get out of the car and in the door with lighting. Rarely ever does it falsely come on without some type of movement outside. Much better than other motion lights I have tried in the past

Absolutely love these bulbs.
I bought these bulbs for a spot in my backyard and they work incredibly well. You have the option to use it as a typical motion sensor light. And for that it works incredibly well. But you also have the option to keep it on constantly. You choose this by how you switch on the power. Just turn on the switch and its a motion light. But if you flip the switch on and off twice in a row you get a constant on light. I typically leave it in motion light so when my dogs go out at night I know there will be a light on the moment they step out the door and I don’t have to worry about turning it on and off. Its great for us!

Update: These lights are junk, one just died after 8 months.
I purchased two of these GE motion sensing outdoor flood lights for my driveway parking area. I bought them in January of 2024 when the weather was fairly cold (Houston, TX). The lights must use infrared detection to turn the lights on and off. In cold weather they worked very well. In fact when I stepped out of my back door the lights would quickly turn on when I took my first step, a good 20 feet from the lights.Evidently they must use infrared sensing because in cool / cold weather the light sensors can easily distinguish a warm body in a cold environment.That said, when summertime arrived the lights would not turn on at night until I was very close to them, typically within 4 feet or so. Consequently, they are not of much use because they can evidently easily detect a 98 degree body in 40 degree weather but they seem to have trouble recognizing a 98 degree person in a 90 degree evening. I frequently have to walk up to the lights within 4 or 5 feet to get them to turn on.The lights are nice and bright when they are on, but the ones I have donât provide much security protection in warm weather. Bummerâ¦.Update: One of the lights just died completely. Totally dead. Junk. GE usually has good stuff, but in my case they were a waste of money.There are some home outdoor floodlights that use microwave signals to turn lights on and off and they are typically about the same price as the GE lights. FYI.

Many reviews on here mention you cannot run dual configuration because they trip each other up. I found the solution put two different brands in the two sockets, I use GE and Sengled. Since they both come in pairs the other bonus is you have a spare of each kind on hand. When the lights turn on, the Sengled turns off first and the GE a couple minutes later turns off it works awesome.
