easy install
took about 20 minutes to install. much better light than the older florescent setup that was there and I didn’t have to play to get the clear plastic back in place. be warned that you will probably have to take apart the one corner of the drop frame to install it, but that isn’t hard really and was included in the 20 minutes of install. just push the tabs in and the bars slide out of place. Don’t for get which bar goes back in first. I also recommend you have some NM/SE half inch cable clamps to clamp the wires going into fixture.

This company is fabulous to work with! I have to say that the light I ordered came with a broken lens and the company replaced it with no problem. In fact, we had multiple issues with them coming broken, and the company was so easy to work with, and I appreciate them very much. These are high-quality lights and mount very close to the ceiling and are light. High lumina and bright!

Padding omitted in product box and Amazon box = crushed corners
Lithonia Lighting ships the lights in a 1’x4′ cardboard box with no padding. Amazon packaged one 1’x4′ light in a 2’x4′ box with no padding so it has lots of room to shift. I ordered 2 lights so I got 2 boxes. So there are only 2 layers of cardboard protecting the product. The other reviews confirm this by the crushed corner pictures. One of the product pictures shows the connection box on top of the light on the end (short side). Instead it is on the side (long side). I needed the light as pictured with connection on end to slide into a slotted fixture. Thin edged fixtures like this one are hard to find.

Good but broken
Many reviews mentioned smushed boxes. I bought 2, hoping they would have figured out better handling by now. Not the case. The Amazon box was fine, no damage at all. The individual boxes were damaged. One slightly, one corner, little bent. Other had multiple rips/crush spots, light lense is cracked.This is for my Wood shop, so I don’t care, so I’m not replacing. If anywhere else, I would, replace the one with broke lense.Lights are great. Selectable color and intensity is awesome.Electrical connections are very tight. Tiny integrated connection box. One 14-2 was tough to get folded properly onto place. But the low profile light ensures no clearance issues.Hopefully they last, as there’s no parts to be replaced.

These were super easy to install, took about an hour to install all 3 that I purchased. I switched from crappy can lights to these and it was simple and looks much better for my shop! Had no problems at all!

The panel performs exactly as I wanted This is being used to create a photography lighbox and is perfect for my use. The electrical box is tucked under the edge creating a nearly flat back. The light is bright and even through out the panel with only a small amount of shadow and falloff at the edges. Colors photograph correctly. My only complaint, and it is a loud one, is that is was shipped to me in only the flimsy retail packaging and not within a shipping box. The package was coming apart and obviously could not hold up to the rough handling. Consequently the edges were dented in three places. I chose to keep it rather than return it because it functionally was OK and I did not want to wait for a second unit that could have arrived in the same or worse condition. The cosmetic defects were not important For my intended use. If I had to order again I would go through a home improvement store and have is shipped to the store so the shipping condition was their responsibility.

Nice light but received damaged
These are nice affordable LED lights with selectable brightness and color (temperature). I had previously purchased these in Lowes and had no problems.They were slightly cheaper on Amazon, however, they are shipped directly in original retail boxes with no additional protection. Several of mine arrived damaged (bent, smashed corners, cracked lens) because of this.

While the product itself deserves 5 stars for its quality and functionality, I am giving it 1 star because the packaging, shipping, and return process are unacceptable and need urgent improvement. If these issues are fixed, I would be happy to update my review to reflect the product’s true potential.Packaging Issues:The lights are shipped in the original manufacturer’s retail box, which is flimsy and lacks reinforced corners. This led to around 2/3 of the units arriving with small dents. While the Tee bar covers minor damage, some units arrived with severe issues, such as cracked lenses due to punctured boxes. If improving the retail box isnât feasible, at least add an outer protective box.Shipping Problems:The flimsy packaging combined with rough handling in transit caused significant damage to several units. One order even included a completely wrong itemâa poster frame instead of a light!Return Process Nightmare:The return process is the worst Iâve encountered. After receiving damaged lights, I was told to ship them back at my expense and wait for reimbursement. I was promised a resolution in 3 business days, but after a week, the timeline changed to a month due to an âinvestigation.â For a business client, this is highly inconvenient and unprofessional.Suggestions for Improvement:Reinforce the packaging or add an outer protective box.Bundle large orders in a larger, safer box.Streamline the return process to be quicker and more transparent.If these issues are addressed, I will gladly raise my rating to 5 stars, as the product itself is excellent. However, the current experience has been frustrating and unacceptable, especially for business clients ordering in bulk.
