Love this Hardware! Possibilities are endless.
I will tell you the directions where rubbish. We needed a gate that would cover a 76â gap. The directions basically give you primitive directions for a much smaller gap. Our gate is 98â and 36 tall without the 4â wheels. We originally bought two kits. We modified the directions and ended up only using one. I love our gate! The hardware works perfectly. We bought a different latch to lock it. This kit is a guide in my opinion. Tells you one way to make a gate but the possibilities are endless. We left sufficient overlap on each side when closed so that the gate didnât swing when closed. Because ours was so long we added additional support in the center. The corner brackets, wheels etc are well made and work well. The guides are sturdy. Overall I love it. It takes planning, and common sense not to end your gate without overlap on both sides. I used a Kreg Jig to secure the corners. If you do this be careful the placement doesnât interfere with the screws that came in the kit.

The instructions arenât Written for every application
I like that it came together with some tweaking, pre- drilling definitely helped, no broken screws here. Overall i like it, plus i can lock the gate if needed. Thanks.

Pros, Cons, and Things to Consider
Pros:- Very sturdy.- Makes for a great alternative to a swinging gate, especially for a larger opening.- Easy to use once assembled.Cons:- As others have mentioned, the directions are garbage, especially if you are assembling it as a mirror image to the images in the directions.- If your spindles are mounted to the exterior of the deck rails, as mine are, assembly will require a fair amount of jerry-rigging. The product design and directions do not account for this.- Screws are not very good quality and will strip easily.Things to Consider:- If you live in a snowy climate, it may not be the best option if you use your gate in the winter.- If it’s for a pool deck, code in many states requires an auto-closing gate, so that would need to be taken into consideration.- The top and bottom rails that the gate will be sliding along need to be perfectly parallel and level, or the gate won’t function properly. Nothing was constructed properly where I live, so that section of railing had to be tweaked before the sliding gate could be attached to it.

Very solid construction
Very solid construction and clean painted finish. The wheel is plastic and could be better served if it were hard rubber instead.

Works great, good product
So, my opening was 72â wide, and the gate needs an 18â overlap. So in total our gate is 90â, weâll past the recommended size. Despite challenging the manufacturers recommendations, this gate works perfectly. I built it myself, took about 4 hours of actual working time and a few more hours of me overthinking it. Instructions are clear enough, but I found it easier to just put it in place and see for myself what the pictures meant towards the end. I think thereâs more to be done aesthetically, but Iâm very happy with the function of this gate. My dogs are contained, and my chickens are not, and it was easily accomplished.I used kreg joints to construct the frame and I needed to add a rail for it to ride on. I put it over the existing railing because I needed to further discourage my shepherds, but Iâm sure most people will construct it differently. That said, adaptability is a great feature.

Pros and cons
Sorry for the long review but I think you should know the pros and cons before buying. Our friend/person building our deck ran across these when looking for gate options and we were instantly sold! I loved the idea of saving space not having a swing gate. We purchased 4 (and came back to get 1 more) after. I read a review about them not being safe around pools due to kids being able to swing the bottom open, this was clearly an issue for us (see pool in pics). Our builder had to modify the one side a bit and purchased a stopper (not sure of the correct word) that goes directly into the deck so you canât move the gate unless you manually move it. The other side is mounted per the instructions and seems too heavy for a small child to push, so Iâm not concerned about that.We do want to eventually get eye hooks to latch the gate OPEN when in use. If a child has their arm in between the slats and someone not paying attention goes to close it, they may end up with a broken arm.Their latch system is terrible, I tried to get a good pic. Itâs hard to lock and unlock because there is no handle to grab on to and Iâd like to purchase a new, more functional and heavier duty one.A visual thing I canât stand is that as you can see, the front part of the gate is a full black triangle, the back does not look the same (see 2nd vs 3rd pic). One last thing to take into consideration is the direction of your boards vs the direction the gate will be sliding. Itâs a bit more difficult to slide when youâre not going the same direction as the boards, and bumping over them, if that makes sense. Overall, I do like the functionality of it, itâs a great alternative to swing gates but I am a bit disappointed at how much it needs to be modified to work correctly and some of the corners they cut at such a high price point.

Very nice product
The gate parts are very good. The “only” downside is the screws. I saw a couple of past reviews and someone had said not to use the screws that come with the kit. Well, I decided to not to heed the warning. I have had several heads pop off and I have had to use ez-outs to try and remove the broken screw. I strongly suggest to use a better quality screw. Otherwise, a very good product.

Iâm not sure what all the complaints are about on this, but I find this to be a very good product for the money. The instructions were fairly easy to follow. He just have to pay attention and not automatically repeat from one corner to the next. Just pay attention, and your gate will go together very easily. I am not very handy with these sort of projects and Iâm very pleased at how it turned out.

Wanted slider gates on the deck at the trailer( work in progress) Worked for what we needed. Everything was in the box. Instructions were good. Would definitely recommend this product.

The components seem sturdy and well made. The wheels roll smoothly. I needed to make some modifications to fit my hand rails, but that was not a fault of the product. The only issue I had was with the quality of the screws provided. I popped the head off a couple of screws when securing the pieces and when screwing through a knot in the wood, the screw shaft twisted off half way in.
