Benefits & Use Cases

These solar fence lights are especially valuable for improving nighttime accessibility and deterring unwanted activity around homes, offices, or rental properties. Their motion-sensing capability ensures that lights illuminate only when necessary—activating upon detecting nearby movement—making them highly efficient for pathways, driveways, garden gates, garage entrances, and perimeter fencing. This targeted approach not only enhances security but also extends battery life by avoiding unnecessary continuous operation.

The inclusion of three distinct lighting modes gives users greater control over how and when the lights function. In Steady-On mode, the LEDs remain illuminated throughout the night—ideal for tasks like reading outside or monitoring high-traffic areas. In Motion-Activated mode, the light turns on only when someone approaches, saving energy during quieter periods such as late evenings or early mornings. The Off mode allows complete deactivation when desired, offering flexibility across different seasons or usage scenarios.

With two units included, customers can strategically place one near a frequently used entrance and another at a secondary access point such as a backyard gate or side alley. This dual setup maximizes coverage without requiring additional purchases. Installation is straightforward—no electrical expertise or professional assistance is needed. Simply mount each unit securely to a wall, post, or flat surface using the provided hardware and ensure the solar panel faces upward toward direct sunlight for optimal charging.

Because they rely solely on solar energy, these lights operate independently of utility grids, making them ideal for remote locations, temporary installations, or eco-conscious households aiming to reduce carbon footprints. The rechargeable internal batteries store sufficient power to support extended use even during cloudy days, though consistent sun exposure yields the best results.

The compact, unobtrusive design blends seamlessly into residential environments without creating visual clutter or posing tripping hazards. Low-profile mounting makes them particularly suitable for step lighting, narrow railings, or low-height fencing where space is limited but illumination is essential.

Important Notes

While these lights perform reliably in standard outdoor conditions, actual brightness perception may vary depending on factors such as installation height, ambient lighting, local weather patterns, and obstructions like foliage or buildings. Some users have noted differences in perceived intensity, which may influence effectiveness in very large or open spaces. Adjusting the angle of the solar panel and ensuring it remains clear of dirt, leaves, or snow will help maintain efficient charging.

Placement is critical: positioning the sensor away from reflective surfaces (like glass doors) or areas with frequent false triggers (such as swaying trees) can improve accuracy and reduce unwanted activations. Although no professional installation is required, secure mounting is recommended in windy or storm-prone regions to prevent displacement or damage.

Each package contains two solar lights, but accessories such as screws, anchors, or mounting brackets should be verified upon delivery to confirm completeness. No external power source is needed, and the entire system operates silently and maintenance-free once properly installed.

    Good little solar light
Easy to install, and works great. So far no issues encountered. I use with the motion setting only. I would buy again. Cheers!

Compact, inexpensive, solar light with motion detector that only detects when not placed too high
368 LED Solar Lights Outdoor Motion Sensor, Solar Fence Lights with 3 Lighting Modes, Solar Powered Security Lights Waterproof for Outside Yard Wall Garden Backyard GarageI ordered just one of these lights. Because it was described on Amazon as a solar fence light, I thought it would be useful to put above an entryway to provide solar-powered light at night when the porch light is not on. It came with four steel screws and plastic anchors for mounting and also came with a double-sided-adhesive mounting pad size 3 1/8 in. x 2 3/8 in. Because I did not want to drill holes in the fiber-cement fascia over the doorway, I chose to see if the adhesive rectangle would securely mount it 12 feet above the ground where it would catch full sun. After two weeks of rain, winds, and freezing temperatures, it hasn’t budged. The light has only three operating modes. Having the light on at full brightness from dusk to dawn is not possible. I first used Mode 3, in which the light stays off at night until it detects motion; then it shines at full brightness for 20 seconds. But it was up so high that I could walk back and forth in front of and below the light, and it did not light up. If, however, I stood in front of it and waved my arms over my head, the light shone brightly for 20 seconds. It was up too high to detect a 6-foot-tall person moving normally. The remaining two modes are Mode 1, where the light stays on steadily at middle brightness at night, and Mode 2, where at night the light stays dim except when it detects motion within 3 to 5 meters, then it shines fully bright for 20 seconds. I settled on using Mode 2, which in my situation is essentially the same as Mode 1, because the light is up too high to detect normal human movement. Though it is better than having no solar light there, I will replace it with a brighter, more versatile solar light. In the photos I show the light at dim brightness (close up and from a distance) and fully bright after movement.

    Very bright!
I like the number of led lights on this unit. It makes a huge difference. I would definitely recommend. Hopefully it is sealed very well and will keep out rain water.

    Works like a dream!
Light pops on when it detects any motion, and the sticker keeps the lamp securely on the wall. Wonderful addition!

Cute Little Light with a Decent Footprint
Cute, pretty bright for the size of it. If you have a spot in the yard that gets a good bit of sun and needs a bit of light at night, this is perfect. You need to be fairly close to the sensor to trigger the bright light mode, and the default light brightness is pretty low. So it’s there if you’re near it, and in a standby low mode otherwise. I get home from the river late sometimes, so it’s handy to have it where I store my kayaks. The solar panel is acrylic not glass, so it will eventually succumb to the Florida sun, but I’ll appreciate it while it’s there.

Long range motion sensor, extremely bright
This light is exactly what I’ve been looking for to improve safety on some concrete steps in my backyard. The solar aspect is a huge plus since no batteries are required. It’s really easy to mount and has multiple options that should suit most indoor or outdoor needs. Two things surprised me, and you can decide if those are plusses or minuses for your situation… The light is EXTREMELY bright. There are three modes, but I just use it on the one that only comes on if it detects motion (and it’s dark). There is another mode that is “always on” at a lower level until it detects motion and brightens, so it’s capable of different intensities. I wish the intensity was selectable. Still, it’s better to have too much light than too little.I’m also surprised at the activation range. It activates at about 30 feet even though the sensor is much lower than the approaching walkway. The one thing I haven’t confirmed is how it behaves around trees on a windy day. Not sure if there will be false triggers, but it really shouldn’t matter since it’s a solar light (no drain of consumable batteries) and even under intermittent activations it will probably last long enough in the night to serve its purpose.I highly recommend this light.

I am always wary of getting solar powered anything, as they tend to be a one hit wonder, especially when they are cheap, and these, at £12.99 for one large lamp unit are cheap, but saying that, it is, so far so good. The unit appeared in a box, and once I took it out and pressed the button I was nearly blinded by the light, it was sooooooo bright, but that was my fault for looking into the light when I turned it on, I really should know better, especially at my age. They are plastic with the solar part on the top, the light which is around the front of the unit has a button in the middle, it can be set to different strengths of light, the distance is about 8 meters, so anything that appears within that will trigger the light, it also has 120° detection, as the lights go around to the sides, as with the sensors, meaning a better spread of light, and on the brightest light, it is bright enough to light up the entire village, LOL… it is very bright, so we have turned it down a notch, and will see what happens then.As before, it seem’s to be well made, out of plastic, with the LED lights in the front and side, the lights stay on long enough for you to get to where you need to before they go off.I will remain unconvinced on the longevity of this item, until I actually have more to say, and if there are any issues I will be back to make an addition to the feedback, but for as they are I do recommend them, but will see what happens long term. My olly grip is that they are a little overpriced, but it looks good, the functionality is great, the motion detection works well, and was so easy to put up, so all in all I will recommend this !

This is quite a small security light run by solar power only, so I was a little worried that it might not operate consistently over the winter months. However, so far it has performed well, even on days without direct sunlight. The solar panel is on the top of the light and runs its entire length, so a good size. The downside is that the panel can’t be placed in a sunnier position if you want the light to illuminate darker areas of the garden. Having said that, I have it on the end of my pergola, facing the garden gate, which is an area that doesn’t get much sun, and so far it has worked well on the motion sensor setting. The other two settings, especially the ‘always on’ option, might not work so well, but if you keep it set to the motion sensor only, it will last all night – very useful for keeping an eye on the dog in the garden during the long winter periods. It is easy to install, as no wiring is needed, and look forward to seeing how it performs once the longer and more sunny days kick in.Overall, a very decent product for the price – a useful solar light and good value for money.

This Peasur solar powered security light is perfect for welcoming you home on a dark evening but is also a good deterrent to unwanted night time visitors, especially when combined with a cctv camera or doorbell camera as it illuminates the front door area really well and gives much more image clarity. With the double sided self adhesive pad you can simply stick this lamp to any clean and flat surface, we stuck our lamp to the glass window above our front door and this was perfect for both light spread and for the motion detector sensor that is fitted to the lamp, the sensor picks any movement up to to a distance of 16 feet (4.8 metres) and is very sensitive and efficient at doing so.If you want to mount this lamp on your house wall, out building or shed that may not be suitable for the self adhesive pad you can attach it with the the two screws and wallplugs that are supplied with the lamp. The solar charge panel on this Peasur security light is bigger than you find on most other lamps of this nature and will no doubt provide enough charge for the unit to operate as intended, in fact we installed our lamp yesterday afternoon and it had charged enough that the lamp was still illuminating at 5am this morning when we left home. This Peasur security lamp really is good value for money too, it currently costs £12.99 here on Amazon and has a 4.7 out of 5 star review rating so we are not the only ones who like it! A very firm five out of five stars from us for build quality, funcionality and price.

I requested this as my aunt had asked for a light at the front corner of her bungalow to light a step as it gets darker earlier in winter and when her friend visits she has nearly come a cropper.I fixed this to a fence on her drive the other day and the feedback is it works great and lights up the step. It was very easy to fix, 2 screws and took about 5 minutes, the light is set to mode 3 which is just to turn on when motion is sensed. The light itself feels like good quality and should last, although time will tell on that.In conclusion, works well, so my Aunt and I are happy.

I have a number of similar lights, they all charge even when not in direct sun, and with the PIR movement sensor the light is only on for a short time (mode 3) and so lasts well for our use case. If you want to provide constant illumination (mode 1 and 2) then a sun lit placement will provide that for a few hours each night even in the winter darkness. This lamp is wider than some others, so benefits from a larger solar panel; It only has LEDs on the downward, forward facing face (rather than on the ends as others) this can reduce the dazzle effect while still lighting the footpath. The weatherproofing rubber bulb on the switch is quite stiff, so a firm press was needed to hear the click which is the only feedback as to which mode you have selected (count off, 1, 2, 3, off)Internally the quality is good, although there is no actual seal around the back panel.
