Great picnic bench!
We purchased this bench because the reviews looked good and the bench itself was cheaper than others we were deciding on.- Was very simple to put together – even with my 2 year old ‘helping’ me. I used the instructions, but it would be fairly easy without them- I’m 6’0 190 lbs and I can sit gingerly on the edge of the bench. I wouldn’t want to plop myself down on this bench or sit too long in the middle, but it is very sturdy otherwise. My wife is more petite and sits comfortably with our daughter, even on the same side.- we’ve had three or four toddlers at a time sitting comfortably coloring in a large book together- we have not primed or painted the bench; it is being used indoors now. After paint, crayons, markers, ink get all over the bench we might paint it then.- the bench isn’t heavy and can easily be moved to a different area with no trouble. However, this also means my 2 year old can move it and on our hardwood floor it will move pretty easily. I suspect outside on the lawn it will be a bit harder to move and wouldn’t slide. With that said, my daughter has no problems getting on and off the bench or leaning under to pick up something that fell – the bench doesn’t move that easily. We really love the bench and folks have commented on how practical and wonderful it is. We will probably keep this one inside and purchase another for outside. I can see this lasting several years with minor cosmetic upkeep before it is too small for our daughter or the bench is beyond easy repair.UPDATE 7/12/2017Over two years later the bench is still being used (indoors) daily and often. It has paint spots, pencil and marker lines, play-doh in the cracks and stains from fruit and food, but still strong, functional and fun. The most we’ve done is tightened the screws. My daughter is now a tall 4 1/2 year old and the bench is still working well for her. I can see this in her playroom for another 2-3 years (maybe we’ll paint it in that time) before it becomes too small and uncomfortable for her to use.

Sturdy and easy to build butâ¦
Such a cute table and only took about 30 minutes to assemble with my toddler. Iâve only had it outside for a month and it is already showing signs of wear. Definitely needs sealed asap!

Childrenâs Picnic Table
Easy to put together. Very VERY sturdy! The wood is to perfection. No chips or places for a child to get a splinter. I was amazed at the size ( easily seats 4 toddlers). You will want to put a coat or two of polyurethane or paint, we did polyurethane, to keep the natural look. Perfect for indoors or outside. Great for craft projects. Very child friendly!

good buy
this was an awesome gift for my 2 and 3 year old. they are now 3.5 and 5 and they still love it. there is a 100 pound weight limit on it and my giant kids will probably get there within the next year. which will make me sad because it is a very big part of our outdoor time. two kids fit per side. it’s sturdy and wonderful. my husband stained it when we got it with wood stain and it looks beautiful. easy to clean. light enough to move around when we mow. just wonderful. love.

A labor of love, but worth it!
Darling when it was finished! It took me about an hour to assemble, but I don’t have a electric/cordless screwdriver. I did the whole thing manually and my arms were sore still the next day! It was worth it though. The wood has been well sanded, but I would recommend a waterproofing paint or stain if you plan on using it outdoors. I bought it for my 2yr old neighbor and he loves it. I’d say it’s good for kids 2-4yrs.

Perfect for Kids
I donât have any kids of my own but we have friends who have several kids and we needed a little something for Friendsgiving for the kids to have a place to play and sit. I also stained it and it was great!! We are also now storing it in the garage so the next time we need it! Itâs great!

Moldy and not Canadian hemlock (per ChatGPT)
The wood smells like a Christmas tree so unless the Canadian hemlock (which per chat gpt isnât supposed to have much of an odor) was treated with some chemical, this is pine wood. It smells like a Christmas tree (aka pine) coming out of the box – and a really fragrant one at that. Which I guess makes sense. Itâs made in China. Do we really believe they ship Canadian hemlock to make this in china? Maybe they grow it there? Or maybe they call a pine tree Canadian Hemlock. Who knows? So maybe a more accurate statement is – this has an odor that indicates it is not Canadian Hemlock as we understand what that tree is here in North America.Worse though – wood was packed not fully dried / cured it appears, so there were spots on the boards with mold growth on numerous boards. Not all of them – some of them. And overall smelled terrible – even on the screened in porch. Mold growth significant and on enough boards so we returned it
