It’s different from cooking in a non-stick pan
This was my first stainless steel pan experience and I decided to try it after I became aware that non-stick pans may contain harmful PFAS chemicals. I found that if you follow the directions to first heat up pan on a moderate flame (in a gas oven), then add cooking lubricant (avocado oil, olive oil, butter etc.), the stainless pan works wonderfully. Whether I’ve sauteed vegetables or cook meats the pan cleans up easily.

Great pan
I got rid of all my non-stick pans for health reasons. Stainless steel is the best way to cook. However, most stainless steel pan manufacturers use rolled edges and sloped walls (which are harder to clean and not as much space for ingredients). I really like the rounded interior and straight edges OXO produces. You can separately purchase universal fit lids that fit perfectly on this pan. The price point is acceptable, and the build quality seems to be good. These are my workhorse pans for >1 year now, and I donât observe any warping.

Learning Curve
At first I did not like this pan at all. Everything stuck to it and it took time and soaking to get it off. Then my husband came to my rescue! He had read an article in Consumer Reports on how to deal with this issue. I listened to his suggestion and heated the pan up first. When it was hot I put in some butter and then his egg mixture. The scrambled eggs came out of the pan so much easier with minimal sticking!

love this pan – use it on induction stove
Really happy with this pain. I had a non stick pan that hmm often food would stick to it, so decided to go back to stainless steel pan. Really happy with this one. I like the weight of it, super easy to clean, comfortable handle. Now thinking of buying other similar oxo pans.

Nice heavyweight, but scratches and stains easily
I received this OXO Mira Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 10″ Frying Pan in good condition. It was shipped with bubble wrap surrounding it. It is attached to a cardboard backing. I could immediately tell that it has a nice heavyweight to it. It is made of a thick, shiny stainless steel clad metal and the handle is attached with flat rivets. I chose this 10″ size because I needed a smaller metal pan to make my refried beans in. What caught my attention was its claims that it is stain-resistant with its “Evershine” finish. After having used the pan numerous times now, I have found this feature to be non-existent. I have not used it with high heat, and still find that it gets cloudy heat stains that are typical with regular stainless steel. An abrasive cleaner is usually needed to remove them. The price point for this OXO branded product is unprecedented in my opinion. The construction of it is of a superior quality, but at this price I expect it to live up to its claims and it does not. Additionally, I have found that it scratches very easily and visibly compared to my other stainless steel pan. For these reasons, I have given it a three star rating.

No handle studs
This is an excellent stainless steel pan that performs well over its price point. I really like that the handle mounting studs are flat inside the pan.

Consumer Reports is Wrong About This Frying Pan
Consumer Reports rates this frying pan as number one in its category. If this is #1, then there are no good frying pans. I’ve had this for about a year and I’ve tried to learn how to use it. I can’t. It gets hotter and hotter as I use it, and it holds that heat long after I’ve turned down the heat source. Using a lower setting on the range does no good. The pan is cold and then, without warning, too hot. It won’t cook anything properly unless whatever you are cooking is swimming in oil and I don’t like that. Everything sticks. And if I burn some oil on it, it takes a couple of hours to clean it. I don’t want to use the non-stick pans but I’m going to have to change to something.
