Great set of knives and nicely made block
Even though I’m not head over heels with the pale green color on the block itself and the knife and scissor handles, the knives are great so far. They came packaged with plastic knife tip guards and cardboard sheaths to protect the blades and the block is nicely smooth and well made. In addition to the usual set of knives there’s one knife of a kind I’m not familiar with. I was expecting one of the knives to be a larger, maybe filet knife, but instead, there’s one that’s larger than a steak knife that has the same serrated edge as the steak knives and bread knife and which fit the last slot in the top of the block. The scissors have a metal toothed area on the mid part of them and although I haven’t tested to see yet, I think it might be for opening difficult jars or something like that. I love the set and I recommend it.

Tasty Cutlery Set: A nice set to begin populating your kitchen with utensils
The Tasty Kitchen cutlery set is a nice kitchen utensil set for the person who is just starting to populate their household with kitchen stuff. The pieces are actually fairly nice except for the shears. I have a pair of shears from the Paris Hilton collection which is more robust than the shears from Tasty. The Tasty shears are too small and the folks at Tasty made the finger openings out of a rigid plastic that is not kind to the hand. The other Tasty tools fall under the Dennis Green saying, âThey are who we thought they wereâ category. I was not expecting Wusthof, Dalstrong, or Zwilling quality at the Tasty price point.The wonderful things about the Tasty cutlery set is that one has everything that you need in one place. The aqua blue is visually appealing â nearly matches a blue tone that I have in my kitchen area. The soft touch plastic handles on the knives have a nice tactile feel. The folks at Tasty should have extended the use of this plastic to the shears. The pine block has a few imperfections, but I can live with the chips and indents on the block. (I am considering transferring the Tasty cutlery to an existing wooden cutlery block.)I am going to give the Tasty cutlery set four stars. At its price point it is a nice set but the poor execution of the shears and the imperfections in the block takes it down a star.

Cute and function all
So far so good for cutting. They look super cute sit counter and get since getting this I haven’t had to search all over for kitchen scissors which is very nice. This would make a great gift for anyone who just got their own first place or just starting to cook more meals for themselves! The block is good and solid with enough weight not to slide or move. For the price it’s a good deal for a starter set. Having all the different knives is nice to have especially all together in one spot.

Really cute to brighten a kitchen up
This set of knives is way cuter than I thought it would be! It is a great little starter set of knives, we are using it at our rental and it adds a really fun pop of color to the kitchen! It has a good amount of knives, all the essentials that you need. The color is vibrant and the knives are lightweight and easy to use. Overall I think for the price it is a good value, especially if you are wanting a small set of essential kitchen knives and a fun pop of color for your counter.

Block has some issues
My block has some issues, where it wasn’t painted in places and just looks very unfinished. The knives themselves are ok. These aren’t expensive knives, so don’t expect the quality to be crazy, but they’re not bad. The handles are a bit hollow. I wish they had some heft or felt a bit more sturdy when using the knife.I think the biggest flaw is that the block isn’t angled and that the slots for the knives are really loose and don’t seem secure.

Descent starter set
This is a nice starter set for a college kid or someone just starting out. The knives are sharp and work well and for the price it’s a great deal (under $30). It is NOT a quality knife set however and it doesn’t look or feel like one either. I’m not thrilled with the block, it should either be all wood or all covered, the partial wood showing makes it look cheaper.

Nice little knife set
My girlfriend’s kitchen is full of mismatched utensils and steak knives with the wood handles deteriorating away into nothing, so when I saw this available I thought it would be a good addition to the place.It’s a beautiful set, no overly complicated styling here, just simple handles and blades with a retro color scheme to match several kitchen decor styles. All the pieces come very sharp and we’ve already used them to tear through some steak and many overcooked bread loaves.I like that it comes with a breadknife along with some shears, everything has worked flawlessly thus far and we both like the look it gives the kitchen. The block sits straight and holds everything tidy in the corner of the counter, pretty sweet cutlery set.

Decent Knife Block Set
I used to follow all of Buzzfeed Tastyâs videos and enjoyed trying out a number of their recipes. I knew theyâve always had a kitchenware line that all looked really colorful so Iâm happy to finally nab up their knife and block set.The block has exactly 9 slots for the number of included knives in the set, of which only 1 slot has a long enough slit to fit a larger chefâs knife and 1 other slot is broad enough for a shear. Not as many slots as I wanted, I was hoping for some extra slots to store my existing knives, so I will have to set aside a few of Tastyâs knives to make room on the block for my more premium knives. Because each knife has a protective paper sleeve, I can lay them flat in the drawers instead. Tastyâs knives are pretty sharp out of the box but doesnât look to keep its edge for very long. The blades seem to be generic stamped style of knives.
