Works right out of the box
Pros: easy set up, worked almost immediately, bright lightCons: the solar panel only adjusts in one direction and does not swivel (a multidirectional pivot would be great for the best angle). Also, at full charge the light (on low/level1) lasts 5 hours starting at sundown – which isnât enough to illuminate anything overnight.I received the solar light around 5pm with just about 2 hours of indirect/shadowed light before sunset. The light was bright in the evening! The light is a bright white and a nice spotlight.Losing a point because I cannot adjust the solar panel and light exactly as Iâd like. Both the panel and the light move in the same directional plane; but the sun shines at a bit of an angle from where Iâd like my spotlight to point, so itâs not going to get the best charge possible. A pivot on either or both pieces would be great. Iâm happy with it and Iâd recommend it as long as you have the right siting for the light. Sadly, I will look for another option for solar lights around my walkway.

Doesnât work in cold temperatures! Not for winter use!
If you have a winter where you live and can get icy mornings, donât buy this light. Nothing in this product description here on Amazon indicates that it wonât illuminate in temperatures under 10 degrees ( Iâm assuming thatâs Celsius.). Only upon receipt of the light you can read the instructions that come with it – which Iâll share the relevant portion here- to see where it indicates that the light isnât defective if it doesnât work in the cold. How disappointing. The product description should indicate that this is a light best for the tropics.I received it and put it outside in the full sun for 2 days, charging. Last night I went to fuss with it outside because it was not working. I brought it into the house to check it out in better light and it worked- I finally read the instructions and saw the note about the temperature⦠guess what? When I took it back outside and it stopped working!Iâll be sending this one with my MIL because she lives in Costa Rica, while Iâll be shopping for a better light that works in my area.

Great Illumination
These solar lights were purchased to highlight Christmas wreaths on the outside of the home, and they were perfect. After Christmas I left them out in the yard for decorative purposes and they worked well for about a week. Unfortunately, the weather turned a little cold here in South Carolina and one of the lights no longer works, they apparently have a shorter life span in cold weather perhaps they will recover next year for Christmas when I try them again.They worked for the intended purpose so I will rate them three stars!

Item is reasonably priced, light lasts all night to light up flag on a 12â tall pole. Works perfect for this purpose. Would like to purchase more but Iâm a little concerned for the lack of aiming of the light in relationship to the solar panel, (It may not get full solar gain to keep battery fully charged)
