No More Squeaky Bed
Finally got this replacement for the old “box spring” (no springs) and cheap frame. Was looking at more expensive versions, but just couldn’t justify the expense. But seeing this one here for under $100 was a no-brainer, and other reviews and pictures seemed to make it worth a try.Assembly was easy, but became concerned about returning it if it ended up being junk. But instead, we tossed the old base and frame and dropped our queen mattress on top of this new frame. Slightly disappointed that the frame was a little larger in dimensions than our mattress, being concerned we’d be constantly banging our knees on the corners.But we love it. Being able to get in and out of bed without the annoying creaks and groans from the old box is life changing! Getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom always caused the other to awaken too. But now the other can keep sleeping without ever knowing one was up. So nice.We are super-pleased with this frame. It’s a very solid platform, and very sturdy. It was easy to assemble and rather lightweight, although it’s made from heavier steel and not aluminum. We’ll take it as a win.

This was so cheap. I got splinters putting it together from the raw wood. None of the screw holes lined up, and if they did the screws were hardly long enough and were almost impossible to get to grab. I hastily packaged it up after only getting it halfway assembled and giving up after snapping off a bolt, and grabbed one for the same price from Walmart that was miles better. Iâve bought and assembled a lot of furniture and nothing has come close to the absolute nightmare that was this bed. Also, itâs hard to get back in the box, and heavy af so I had to go to U-Haul and buy another box and get Amazon to issue me another return code so I could return it in two boxes. Just get something else.

Just built it five minutes ago and was praising the engineering every step of the way. It’s a tank of a frame for a price that won’t tank your budget.Is it the prettiest? No. Is it fully featured? No.It’s exactly what the box says. A sturdy piece of kit that, despite being metal, is well designed enough to not start creaking the minute you climb on.There’s a lot of elements where it’s clear some talent went into design. The legs are setup to collapse when not secured with screws for compact portability. This is a frame that can be put up and taken down in a half hour to an hour. Once secured with the included hardware, this thing is cement. It ain’t going anywhere.Very pleased and I feel the value cannot be overstated at what I paid.
