While the light has some notable strengths, it falls short in a crucial aspect.The brightness from only 15 watts is commendable, providing a significant amount of illumination powered by 28 LED lamp heads. The optical filter lens contributes to a brightness of 1500 lumens, and the energy-saving aspect, claiming to reduce electricity bills by over 80% compared to traditional halogen bulbs, is a welcome feature.The motion detector functionality is a mixed bag. The seller claims it boasts an impressive range of up to 69ft with a 180° wide sensing angle, and I absolutely did see that level of peripheral detection, even when setting the sensor to it lowest setting. The adjustable lighting time options add flexibility to the security setup, enhancing safety. The dual-head design is another plus, allowing customizable angles and color temperature, if you are someone like my wife that prefers, for example, warmer light. Installation options include wall mount or eave mount.However, the Achilles’ heel of this product is its motion sensor accuracy. Despite setting it to the lowest detection setting, the sensor’s side detection is overly sensitive, capturing movement too far to the side while missing someone standing just 10 feet in front. This flaw significantly impacts the light’s effectiveness in certain scenarios, undermining its primary purpose as a security feature.On the positive side, the construction with aluminum ensures durability and excellent heat dissipation, and the IP65 waterproof rating makes it resilient against various weather conditions. The Dusk to Dawn mode is a thoughtful addition for some, automatically turning off during the daytime and activating based on detected brightness at night, although it’s worth noting that the motion sensing function doesn’t operate during this mode, which is why I never tested it.In conclusion, the CELAVY LED Security Lights offer a mix of impressive features and notable drawbacks. I like this light!
Good experience with this light. I replaced a similar fixture, so this was a simple, one-tool installation. The fixture came on in 3000k mode so I didn’t try the other color setting, but brightness and color of the illumination were what I had hoped for. It’s perfect for lighting a small area but you may want something brighter to light a large area. The fixture is made of almost all plastic and seems to be the same quality as similarly-priced all-plastic models at the big box stores.I like how it has a dusk-to-dawn option in addition to 3 motion sensing ranges. Once it got dark I went outside to check on the light and it came on promptly as it should have. It did not come with the little rubber screw-hole covers that some brands include, but I don’t really mind that. Adjustment of the bulb socket angles is smooth and it holds firmly at the desired position.

This light is very bright. However, I’ve noticed that sometimes it just stays on forever, and sometimes the motion sensor takes too long to turn the light on. Knowing this, I’d get a different brand.

Light works well. I appreciate the simple controls and the TEST mode. Note that the fixture attaches to the octagon box with a single screw. A cross-bar (included with the light needs to be installed in the octagon box before mounting the light.

Mostly I have to get used to the auto motion function. Before I had a fixed light and I might bring it back so as to have both: the motion detection lights and the fixed light, just because the motion detection lights only give light – when they detect motion… Otherwise they work well, detect well. I wonder how long they will last as they are made of plastic. Also I don’t think the bulbs can be exchanged. But so far so good. The light is bright but warm in color, like more traditional lighting.
