Small hex lights have many color patterns
My son has this fascination in decking out his computer room with a ton of lights. He originally had me get the triangle ones – the craze that started a few years ago. Now he wants the Hex lights and I got him this set. The price was right but the size of these are quite small (though I saw the size prior to ordering). The set of 8 won’t cover too much area so I got a couple of 12 light sets – from another manufacturer only to find that all these lights look the same and this 8 light set also hooked up the the 12 light. So it might be likely that many of these sets will work with others if the same size.The light construction is low-medium quality plastic. It feels light and not very substantial unlike brand name units. The LED lights inside are RGB and can produce any assortment of colors. They are bright and look great doing the light patterns. The sound activation module also works good and can produce random and matching patterns with all the connected modules.Overall, it works good – just temper you expectations as these are a bit small and you will need many of them to create a large enough mural for a side of a wall.

The YEYIZU Hexagon Lights are wonderful. In the package you get some sticky tabs to affix these to the wall. The remote is good and allows you a little more control than the attached control module. As is, the control module gives you so many options you may never need the remote (just in case you lose it), however what is not on the control module is brightness and speed. Otherwise, the control module gives you all the modes and music/audio modes basically. If you want total control, you can scan the QR or just search MeRGBW in the app store (I’m doing it on Android). What’s so nice about these LED pieces is that each panel or puck is not just a singulr LED or fixed unit of LEDs, that is, each piece has full RGB LEDs each. So, not only will they light up a certain FULL color, but they will also animate within each piece based on the modes. The effects were very entertaining to watch and almost makes them feel alive. The other nice aspect of these lights is that they seem to have a little bit of smart programming built in. Plugging them in and turning them on without the app, you can see all the lights synchronizing together and doing their own thing until you start pressing buttons. So charming. Audio reaction effect also works flawlessly.

They’re not exactly what i thought they’d be but they’re functional
When I ordered these lights, I was under the impression that they would have a glossy cover resembling glass. However, I discovered that the covers are actually matte, which makes the large LED lights stand out in certain settings. On the positive side, the lights are very bright, but the transitions and patterns can be lackluster and repetitive.I’m also not a fan of the connectors, as they severely limit design possibilities unless you purchase multiple packs. The way the lights link together and connect to the power cord can be quite restrictive. I wish there were dedicated plugs for each light. Additionally, the plug itself is a bit frustrating; the large, very white cord is difficult to hide, which I think most consumers would prefer.What I do enjoy about these lights is their versatility. I can place them anywhere there’s a plug. Just remember to install them one at a time; if you try to put them on the wall all at once, you might drop several due to how they connect.On a positive note, due to my clumsiness, two of the lights accidentally fell into my dog’s water dish and were completely submerged while I focused on rescuing the others. After retrieving the lights, I dried them on their side and shook off any excess water. After two hours, I decided to take a risk and plug them back in. To my surprise, they worked perfectly and have remained in good condition ever since.

very disappointed
The product does not work for me.It does turn on and display a white light, but does not change colors and does not respond to the app or the remote control that comes with it.I tried changing adapters, cables, tried different power outlets, tried different phones and nothing worked. I worked according to the manufacturer’s operating manual, nothing works.Also, the pictures are very misleading and the measurements are not completely accurate. The USB connections are very loose and of poor quality. I waited a long time for this product and when it arrived I was very disappointed, do not recommend.

Fun add to my game room
I have a lot of lights very similar to this, and I kind of knew what to expect from these. I added these to my gaming room, and in combination with the existing lights I already had, I now have a very impressive light show. These are very easy to mount connect and get running. I don’t normally do much tinkering with the setups and prefer to let all of my lights flow with my music, so I have no idea how good or bad the app works. I have mine in a pattern similar to a bolt of lightning, and it looks cool. Compared to my other lights, these have a nice build quality.

Way easier to set up than you might think
~Unbiased review- No benefit/penalty for good/bad marks~Plug in the power cord to a usb-a brick and then to any of the hexagon panels and youâre in. Plug in all or however many of the other lights you want, and the microchip in the power cord extends the show to them automatically. The app has more functionality, but it can easily be controlled and changed by the remote or the switch box on the power cord.The light panels are a little bit thicker than more expensive ones, but not overly so. The usb connectors connect just fine, donât feel flimsy, and they donât stick out on the ends as one reviewer mentioned. The biggest flaw is that there are hot spots where you can see the LEDs under the panels, instead of the plastic top diffusing enough so that the light is evenly spread out. Itâs a minor flaw though, and the lighting effects still look good
