Great Quality and Even Improves Traction in Subzero Temperatures
This is fairly thick, high quality, and provides good traction. It protects the wood underneath from excessive wear. It also looks professional and attractive. It seems to still have fairly good traction in subzero temperatures. It works wonderfully on our outside steps/stairs.

Heavy duty indoor outdoor.
These are thick rubber. I installed them on outside steps as well as my basement staircase. Easy to cut to size using a razor knife and a straight-edge. Glued down using E-6000 and several concrete blocks for weight until dry. Great traction and very durable. Made in India, treads are excellent quality. I would buy them again.

We purchased these to place on wood steps going outside from sliding door and up to pool. Both step systems are made of deck wood. We screwed them down with black screws I ordered online when I purchased. for the steps outside the sliding door, those are 3ft. It worked well to put screws at the top, one one each side, and on the lip, one on each side. I didn’t have to worry about the lip being too big the way the stairs are made. We put 4 on the stairs going up to the pool. The are 48″ so longer. Used screws again, however the lip could pose a hazard for someone who might accidentally get their toe caught going up, so we will need to use more screws. Heavy duty and very easy to install. ONE BIG PROBLEM. They are hotter than ….. in open sun. Try making these in white or a different color or something that might transpel heat? The black and rubber combined make them burning so you cannot be barefoot if they have sat in the sun all day! I’m going to have to cool them off with the hose; there is no getting around that.

Cost us $360 for 16 of the wider treads, but the quality rubber is heavy and holds fast, thanks to a lip that overlaps the top front of each stair. We put these on our fairly steep outdoor wood steps. Walking down stairs feels MUCH safer now in Oregon rain, and the treads look nice as well. Pleasurable experience.

Have a 70 year old house with old staircase . I had tried all kinds of things to make it safe and look decent but never really succeeded. I saw these rubber dreads and after all its great reviews had to give it a try.It came out fabulous, was so simple to cut to size with regular sizzors and glue for rubber keeps it in place.Very pleased with my purchase and the unbeatable price.
