Benefits & Use Cases
SPEYCER Motion Sensor Strip Lights are engineered to solve everyday lighting challenges by combining responsiveness, adaptability, and ease of use. In the kitchen, the continuous POWER ON mode provides bright, consistent light under cabinets or countertops, making food prep safer and more efficient. During evening meals or baking sessions, this steady illumination eliminates the need to fumble with switches or dimmers.
In contrast, MOTION SENSING mode shines in spaces like hallways, stairwells, walk-in closets, laundry rooms, and garages—areas where people pass through briefly but don’t require full-time lighting. The lights instantly illuminate when someone enters the detection zone and gradually fade out after a few seconds of inactivity, reducing eye strain and preventing wasted electricity. This makes them especially valuable in homes with children, elderly residents, or frequent nighttime visitors who benefit from gentle, responsive guidance.
Beyond standard installations, the cuttable and linkable design enables creative placements. You can trim strips to fit narrow gaps beneath floating shelves, wrap corners with L-connectors, or create soft ambient glows along baseboards. The adhesive backing ensures a secure hold on most clean, dry surfaces—though it’s recommended to wipe the area with alcohol before applying for optimal adhesion.
Because they operate on plug-in power rather than batteries, these lights offer uninterrupted performance without the hassle of replacements. Combined with dimmer and timer functions, users gain fine-tuned control over both brightness and duration, adapting the system to seasonal changes, personal preferences, or specific tasks like reading in bed or searching for items in a dark garage.
Important Notes
- The included power adapter is UL and FCC certified, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international safety standards and providing reliable, protected operation.
- Installation requires no tools—simply remove the protective layer from the double-sided adhesive tape and press firmly onto a clean, flat surface. Allow 24 hours for maximum bond strength before handling.
- Strips can be safely cut at every 1.97-inch mark using scissors or a utility knife. Avoid cutting between connection points unless extending with compatible connectors.
- To extend length or create custom shapes, use 2-pin 8mm buckle connectors (available separately under ASIN B099N4RM45). L-connectors allow for right-angle bends and triangular arrangements.
- The package includes the motion-sensor LED strip light and the UL/FCC-approved adapter. Extension connectors and L-brackets are not included and must be purchased separately if needed.
- For best performance, ensure the sensor lens is unobstructed and positioned facing frequently used paths. Avoid placing near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

Has all the features I was looking for, and some features I didn’t know I wanted
I was looking for a battery operated motion sensing LED strip that’s also dimmable, so I could light up the underside of an L-shaped stair that’s part of a two step transition between two rooms that guests tend to miss because of our dark floors. That combination is quite impossible to find. However, I came across this product has all the features except it’s not battery operated. The cord is long enough that I was able to reach it to a plug and still position the motion sensor where I wanted it, and it comes with stick-on clips to hold the cord against the wall. The power input plugs in at the top of the unit, and the LED strip plugs into the bottom. There’s about 8″ of cord before the actual strip itself begins. The LED strip had double sided tape so you can stick it directly to things. In my case it needed to be stuck upside down on the bottom edge of a stair. At one point I had to pull off a bit of it to readjust and it didn’t appear to be overly stuck on, but after a while it’ll probably get more “stuck” and might take off some of your paint or finish if/when you do need to peel it off. I thought about using 3M no-damage strips instead, but they were too wide for the bottom of the stair (would have poked out) and it didn’t seem worth it to cut them in half lengthwise and position them every few inches to prevent sagging just on the off chance that someday I might want to remove the strip. The LED light strip can be cut, but be sure to cut it in places where two copper strips are exposed – otherwise if you cut it elsewhere the 2-3 lights in between exposed copper strips don’t function. They supply a few connectors and right angle pieces so you can cut it at the exposed copper pieces, slide the ends underneath the little holders in the connectors, and connect the right angle piece. Unfortunately for me I didn’t think to align the strip where I might need a right angle, and the exposed copper strips were’t quite in the right place to do that. However, they do say you can bend the strip gently, and they include a drawing, so I was able to do that instead of using the right-angle piece. It also comes with double sided tape to stick the unit onto something (a wall, or in my case baseboard). The instructions are well written, considering it was likely translated from another language, and do hold on to the instructions because it’s hard to remember what all the different light combinations mean when you click any of the setting buttons. Here’s the full set of features:- It can be set to a simple on/off via a button, or auto-on via motion sensing.- You can pick from 6 options about how long you want the lights to stay on after sensing motion: 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, 180 seconds, 300 seconds, and 600 seconds.- For motion sensing, there’s an energy saving option to toggle between turning on the lights day or night, vs only turning on the lights when it’s generally dark enough that you’d need them.- For dimming, you can choose from 6 different “levels” ranging from 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, 25%, and 10%. I use the 10% setting and my only complaint is that it could still be a bit dimmer. If there was a 5% option I’d use that.

Great setup for underbed lighting.
I installed these under my bed and I love the way they look. The length is just right for a queen size bed. The price is good for what you get. The motion sensor works fantastic. They plug in so youâre good to go. Come with adhesive on the controller and the lights. And if you wanna get creative like I did you can add some 12v dc cob lights to the controller and have a better cleaner light.

Lights & Timer a Great but Motion Sensor is Not the Best
The lights a great and bright. You can adjust the brightness to your liking. The timer is great and works perfectly. The motion sensor is not great. It is hit and miss on if it works. There is 50/50 chance it will turn on when I walk into the kitchen. I did place the motion sensor in a different location than the directions said. I just couldn’t bring myself to make the big block completely visible. There is an issue with it because I can be chopping right in front of the motion sensor and the lights will go off due to the timer. Seems like a flaw in the tech of this product.Installation was easy. I did layout what I wanted to do first on the counter to make sure I enough lights to go around. I also played with the placement of the motion sensor a lot (I was already having issues)! I did not do any cutting of the lights. I used their alternative method of making a small non-bending loop for the corners (worked great!).It’s been up for a couple of months now. Nothing has fallen but there is one little light out.If you really want the motion sensor, I these are not the lights you are looking for.If you want adjustable white lights, a timer and good adhesive. This is a good product.

This performs as described
Likes: Provides under-cabinet lighting for a price within my budget. The product performs as described. I’ve upgraded my kitchen. The auto-on feature is so convenient and the option to always leave the lights on is nice.Dislikes: The wires have to be hidden since I don’t have in-the-wall wiring. This necessitated taping the wire from the power plug to the control box to the underside of the cabinets, and the wire from the end of the light strip to the control box is visible and can’t be hidden. I wish now that I had ordered a diffuser channel since my cabinets do not have a front lip and I had to attach them to the back underside of the cabinet, which creates a shadow against the back well of my countertop. When you are sitting down you can see the light strip under the cabinet against the back wall. All in all, this is a very good product for the price and accomplishes what I need for my out-of-date kitchen.

This lighting product is excellent. We set it up so that it comes on when we go down the stairs since it was hard for us to make out the edge of each step in the dark. We tried several different placements of the strip (with scotch tape) before settling on attaching it to the bottom of the railing with the sticky tape it comes with. We’re very pleased with the functionality.
