Works for my purposes
I’ve purchased 2 of these for my parent to use in an assisted living facility. I chose it partly because it does not have suction cups and the bottom of the shower is textured, so suction cups do not work. I did cut a hole in it where the drain sits, but that was easy enough. He sits, and this works fine to stabilize his feet. I also like that I can throw it in the washing machine.

Great but must keep free of body oil!!
This is a good looking, well-made bath, comfortable mat. The idiot who built our shower used the same shiny tiles on the floor as on the wall making for a very slippery floor whether itâs dry or wet. I recently had a major fall when getting into this shower with the water running, all I did was put my big toe on the tile and off I went flying ending up in the ER with x-rays and a head MRI. My body never made it into the shower, but it sure made it onto the floor! After much online research I settled on this mat in aqua. It arrived well packed, but I immediately felt with my fingers that the material, front and back, was powdery and slippery.I proceeded to scrub the shower floor with a scrubbing powder and also scrubbed the front and back of the brand new, unused mat. I waited for all to dry before using. The difference in the feel of the mat was immediate, it was no longer powdery and slippery. Iâve been using it regularly and I go thru my scrubbing routine at least once a week, anything to prevent another fall.When I finish using the mat I leave it in place to dry overnight. Only the top dries, the bottom remains soaking wet. The next day I take it out and lay it on top of an old, clean towel with the bottom of the mat facing up to allow the other side to dry. Itâs then ready for use.Always rinse it well after use so that all residue of soap and shampoo washes off. If you donât stay on top of cleaning and removing all body oils from this mat youâll be defeating the purpose of the mat and thereâs a very good possibility you will slip. Once I put the mat down on the dry shower floor and step carefully on it, it doesnât move at all while I bathe.

Perfect for textured small showers
No more slipping in the shower. This mat works well on my textured shower floor. It’s a small shower space and this fits perfectly and drains well enough. Every 3 to 4 days I hang it up to dry. Ive only had it about a month but it works great. The lime green color is ugly but I saved a few bucks. There are other better choices for color.

Disappointed
I purchased this in August but I wanted to give it a fair shake before I reviewed it. I have a stall shower so it does fit pretty well. But it slides. I’ve noticed it a little bit but tonight when I got out of the shower it slipped so bad I ended up falling. I will be removing it and throwing it away because of this. Also, the water doesn’t drain very well when you’re using this. Which I understand because well most stall shower mats do obstruct a portion of the drain. It is super cute though I wish it just didn’t slide so bad.

Doesn’t let water drain
I have mixed feelings about this. It does have good slip resistance but the water and soap doesn’t drain through. I stand in puddled soapy water. I’d return but it’s used and that would be gross. Too expensive for something that doesn’t fully work.

Works great, easy to maintain
I really appreciate that this may doesn’t have suction cups, yet it stays put when in use. It’s also comfortable on my feet. With no suction cups, it’s a breeze to clean. However, I haven’t needed to clean it but once. After each shower, I simply pop it up and hang it over the shower door to dry or (if it’s really damp and humid) wipe it with a rag. So far, it’s shown no inclination to mildew. It is a bit weighty, so a frail person might need a bar installed lower to hang it on, but outs by far the best mat I’ve ever used, both in comfort and ease of care. Sorry, no photo, but my shower tile is an incredibly ugly color. ð

Great bath mat, but not exactly as pictured
Starting off by saying I like this bath mat a lot. Itâs thick, which feels better on my feet than our old one. I bought this because my suction cup mat would not stick to our new, textured shower floor. This mat does a great job of not sliding around and will replace our old mat well while giving us some added cushioning! We have a triangle shaped floor on our shower and wish this came in that shape, but this sqaure one fit in just fine and doesnât even cover our drain!The only thing I was disappointed about was the fact that the top part of the mat is textured and not smooth like it was depicted in the listing. I was expecting a smooth silicone mat but this one is a little textured. Itâs not a big deal and we wonât be returning the item.We are happy with the mat!
