good small light-duty bookcase easy to assemble
Simple, light-weight shelves, easily assembled. Extra kudos for the simple small but effective nail holder that keeps the nail upright, away from your fingers, and positioned exactly right distance from the edge (you nail the very thin back onto the shelves). In the photo of two, I added simple vertical support to avoid what would otherwise be sagging shelves (they are just friction fit). To be clear, these are not fine furniture – just vinyl over thin particle board, but good value for what they are.

Great Deal for the Price Plus Free Static Cling!
These little shelves are good for storage of lightweight, smaller items like model railroad supplies (see picture). They are not really suitable as bookshelves, with only 20 pounds load per shelf.Unpretentious, they assemble very easily in about 10 to 15 minutes, with screws for the shelves (all the holes aligned well) and what you or I would call brad nails for the back but the maker calls Power Pins (!).The major drawback is the time needed to remove eleventy-seven thousand Styrofoam pellets statically clinging to every surface, including your hands, tools, and work surface. Have a vacuum cleaner handy when unpacking! The static cling is a minor problem until you get to the tri-fold back, with its clear tape that not only holds the three back panels but also attracts Styrofoam debris with tenacity. The static cling issue could be resolved by wrapping the various pieces in plastic bags before shipping, but that’s more packaging and not very environmentally tidy. The shelves are nicely unitized so you could assemble one on top of the other (anchor to the wall and add cleats for safety). You could even leave the back off one and then place it in front of the other, getting over 18″ of shelf depth. The price is unbeatable. If you tried to buy thin MDF at Lowe’s and do it yourself, you would spend more than this delivered price.

good value -not for heavy use
Needed this to add to my closet to store handbags, folded leggings. etc. Easy to put together and looks good. But obviously not furniture that would withstand heavy usage. Still great value.

Pretty decent for the price
I needed a couple of small units to go in an office closet to hold supplies. These were reasonably priced, and had a bunch of positive reviews so I gave them a shot.Easy to assemble, even for just 1 person. I used a cordless drill with screwdriver bit on a low torque setting to make it go quicker and out of 40 screws (20 per unit), only one missed the pre-drilled hole and cracked the shelf (at least it was on the bottom so you can’t see it). They are not 100% level, so depending on what you are putting on them I might suggest using an anchor strap to keep it from tipping. And let’s be honest… it laminated particle board, so it’s not going to hold a ton of weight anyways. Keep heavier items on the lowest two shelves (good habit anyway) and you’ll be fine.Overall, these are good for the price. They could be a touch over priced at mid-$40, but for a 5 shelf unit (I’m counting the top as well) I am not going to quibble over it.

Not large enough for three rows of 3 Ring binders
I should have double checked dimensions, but it will not accommodate 3 Ring binders vertically. I figured out how to place them horizontally to still look aesthetically pleasing, so it works for my purpose. The bookcase is basic and seems to be adequately made. Wasnât put together

Great size and sturdy
This shelf unit holds quite a bit and is very sturdy. Assembly was not too difficult and I am very happy with what it able to hold and have no concern about over loading a shelf as far as what it can hold. Would buy again

Nice Shelf
This is a nice shelf for the price. Mine didn’t have any instructions, but was easy to figure out. I only use it to display Lego cars and some dvd’s. I don’t think it is for heavy items. The back is like cardboard taped together in two spots. I put some extra packing tape on it so it wouldn’t come apart. It is worth the price.

Disappointing and cheaply made
I’ve had good experiences with Furinno shelves in the past, but this one was hugely disappointing.Assembly is done entirely with simple wood screws instead of using locking anchors, which makes it terribly difficult to align everything properly without two people. The shelves are screwed into place and are not adjustable. Worst of all, the backing panel must be attached with tiny brad nails that have NO starter holes, and therefore it is impossible to tell if you’re lining them up properly. The finished product looks okay, except the seams on the back panel are terribly obvious, and the particle board seems particularly cheap and brittle. (Note that the recommended load for each shelf is a mere 15 pounds, which is NOT a lot of books.) Not to mention that the styrofoam packing sheds small beads EVERYWHERE. Be prepared to vacuum afterward.I got this at a discount, so for that price I would consider this to be average quality. But I would NOT pay the full retail price of $50+. Better options are available in that range.

Unless it arrived damaged I truly cannot understand many of the negative reviews. This Furinno Pasir 3-Tier Open Shelf, Steam Beech arrived in a solid box, undamaged. It was very easy to assemble. Once assembled it appears very sturdy. Excellent value. If you follow the simple instructions carefully – screw tightly(!) and tack the back in correctly and firmly(!) around the edge and into the side and top panels (not the shelves as ‘Vicki’ did) – it leaves a very sturdy case, for under £24. With just 3 Parts (Part 1/3 = the 16 screws and Part 2/3 = the 22 tacks) what took me the longest to figure out was that Part 3/3 – the black clip thing – is not to attach to the bookcase, but instead a very helpful tack holder to help you tack the tacks into the backboard straight, and at the precise distance from the edge. Wonderful little tool!I feel pretty certain that if I stick to the recommended max. weight, this will remain sturdy for years to come. Once built this 3-tier measures exactly 24.0 cm Deep x 59.9 cm Wide x 80.1 cm High (so very close to but not quite as described at 24.6D x 57.7W x 80H).
