Lights up the darkness
Normally I use solar lights outside, but they won’t work all night if the sun doesn’t want to come out enough. So, I decided to try the battery operated as well because I have to have light in my yard at night. These lights are wonderful additions and I don’t have to worry if it charged enough during the day.They are super bright and only require three D batteries. I’d say the downside would be the distance it picks up movement could be better, but I’m happy with the product enough that this isn’t a deal breaker. The install was quick and simple as well.

Bright light, easy install, good motion detection
After an attempted break in, we wasted no time in covering our property with cameras. Unfortunately, because we live out in the middle of the woods, it is very dark and there are no street lights. The doorbell camera we installed wasnât giving off enough infrared light, so even though it was turning on because it picked up movement at night, we couldnât actually see anything on the video. We do not want to leave our front porch lights on all night, so we decided that we needed a motion light above our front door to be able to light up any movement.We ordered the Mr Beams light because of the low cost, favorable reviews, and the fact it was battery operated, meaning we wouldnât have to wait for our electrician to fit us into her schedule. The light was easy to install, but we did use longer screws than the ones provided.Once it was dark out, I decided to go out through our garage and walk to our front door from the driveway to see a) how close I had to get before the light kicked on, b) to test if the camera senses the motion before the light or vise versa, and c) see just how bright the light really was.I was very happy with how quickly the light came on, I was probably about 20-30 feet approaching the front door from the side (the direction someone would be coming from our driveway/the road) and also happy with how bright it was. I checked the camera after I came inside and saw that it started to record maybe one to one and half seconds before the light came on. Our front porch is covered, so the light wonât be exposed to precipitation. The final test is to see how long the batteries last and if the bitterly cold Vermont winters affects the function at all.

Rather than leaving the front door lights on, this small but effective motion sensor light activates, and lights up the walkway to the door. Itâs very sensitive. I like the fact that it is battery operated instead of having to be hardwired. Itâs been out there several days now and has worked very well. As the evenings grow shorter, itâs getting dark earlier nowadays. I am sure that delivery people, and or visitors, will appreciate the light to see by.

Works great, has quite a long motion range.
Itâs a great little motion sensor light for porch or garden. I love its brightness and that it has quite a long range. It activates from 15-20 feet. However I wish it would stay on longer. It goes off in about 40 seconds to a minute! I also wish it was rechargeable and not battery operated.

Amazing outdoor lighting
I bought 6 of these lights amazing coverage. These are motion sensor lights that illuminate my yard and my home at night time. Great investment and Iâm going to order more of them for around the house!!!!!! They have withstood the elements of the ever changing weather and durability. They were easy to mount onto the house and deck.

This is the second one of these we have purchased now and put up in our backyard. For the price it can’t be beat. It takes 3 huge D batteries which is a pain however the first one we bought has been up for almost 2 years now and the batteries are still going strong so I have no issues with the batteries now. They have both now been out in very cold Calgary winters where temps have been down in the -30’s and they have not failed. Super product.

I have been testing this security light for a few weeks now. The reason why I like this product is because it works off batteries, which is exactly what I needed. It is very bright and easy to install. I have read about Mr Beams and they have a loyal following here is Australia (at least that is my takeaway). I think that the motion sensor is a tiny bit less sensitive than on some of my other lights, but it could also be my fault (i.e. placing is slightly awkward). Anyway, it’s a good product, well-proced. I recommend.
