Beautiful and Amazingly Customizable
Pros: beautiful and vibrant colors, bright, preset scenes, so many options for customizing, works with dreamview, easy to understand instructions, easy to sync to appCons: while probably difficult to get around this issue, the cable is annoying to keep out of the way and it only comes with a handful of clips to keep it tidier looking (I purchased more on amazon from 3rd party), odd # of lights (rather than an even amount) which sometimes becomes annoying with customizationOverall, I highly recommend! All my friends are very impressed with them and Iâm usually not very good at putting these kinds of things up

I’m absolutely loving these Govee RGBIC String Downlights! As a big fan of Govee products (I have six or seven others!), I can confidently say these live up to the brand’s reputation for quality and innovation.The light themselves are fantastic. The colors are vibrant and the double light bead design really enhances the visual effect. They add an immersive and dynamic element to my living room setup, making movie nights and gaming sessions even more enjoyable.Setup was a breeze, especially since I already use the Govee app. Integrating them into the “DreamView” system was super simple, and I love how seamlessly they work with my other Govee lights.

Exceptional Smart Lighting
Yet another knockout Govee product. These sync with DreamView for syncing with your TV if you have that setup. They also work with various home automations platforms if you want to control them (Home Assistant).They are plenty bright. They are primary above my bedroom and they actually match the brightness of my two recessed downlights (Govee). The people who claim they are not bright are confusing brightness with attenuation. They are focused downlights and they are not designed to attenuate and light large volumes of space. The brightness is great and they are ideal for an accent wall, above a bed, gamer space or above a TV / media center wall.They have a wide color range, they work best in RGB mode if you want to match them with other Govee lights as the whites and yellow tones are not identical when you adjust them in color values like 3000k. This won’t make sense to you unless you use home automation. In RGB mode they are identical to all my other Govee lights.They have a wide variety of premade scenes and effects and they are all cool. The Govee app is stellar as always.As for the sticky pads not being strong enough – some people say that on walls with ridges or textures they don’t stick well. It’s ok if you are adhesion challenged. Thousands of people are, see a doctor, don’t be ashamed. For the rest of us – properly apply them. IPA Alcohol (90+) on all surfaces and wipe with lint free clothes. This is basic and how you peoperly apply adhesives. Not sure why this is hard for people. My walls are third world and have ridges, textures, they are concrete and painted. They stick well and even handle our ridiculous heat and the adhesive holds up. It’s really good quality 3M. Just take your time and do it properly. On smooth or sheetrock walls as long as you wipe them down and hold pressure for 30+ seconds you will get great results.The build quality is premium. You know it’s Govee when you open the box. Everything about the packaging and even the type of box and ink used feels premium. It’s really ironic since Govee is a budget option yet so good. The wire is stellar quality, light housings are great and the drivers too – they dim with 0 flicker or noise. The actual light lense covers are gorgeously designed and slightly frosted to direct light in the perfect way.Govee, you did it again. Take all my money.

Looks sleek, easy to use. Expensive for the length
If youâre looking for an upgrade from RGB strip lights, this is a definite purchase. I especially like the regular white lightning and temperature adjustment. The GoVee app is easy to use and the UI is definitely a lot of cleaner than other smart lightning apps. It has some nice preset scenes too in the app.There are a few issues I found with the lights. For one the length for the price is especially expensive. In my opinion the smaller lengths only fit well in the bedrooms. I tried setting them in my living room but found them to be too short. You definitely need the 30 ft + for a larger space. The other glaring issue is that the lights can only be placed going to the right of an outlet. This can limit where you actually can display them on your walls.

These are a unique lighting choice that I like better than most of the alternatives.
I bought these because I wanted something better than LED strip lights. They are RGBW and the app is good enough. It works with Alexa and is bright and good at setting a mood for a room. The roommate saw these so they became Christmas presents this year. I wish they were a little cheaper but they are much more affordable than the Phillips lights. At some point I may also see if I can get them working with WLED (I have read that others have had luck with that) The fact that I could switch the controller out pushed me over the purchase line since anything cheaper you cant trust the support of the app for long and often no one can get the to work with 3rd party controllers. I wish that Govee was more open source and had better APIs to access this locally but I figure the market will deliver eventually. Everyone in the house are happy with them and they were easy to install.

Iâm really happy with these, no issues so far. Nice and bright, Very easy to install, no connection issues with app. For the different colour schemes, youâre able to split it into three different sections and not control each individual light. Not a problem for me but can see how somebody might want that. Great value for money like all Govee products
