A Good Basic Coffee Maker
My last coffee maker finally gave up the ghost and I started looking for a decent coffee maker that wouldn’t break the bank. This is what I bought, based on the price and the reviews. It’s a good coffee maker. That’s all I really need to know. It does its job without fuss. It’s programmable, so it has more features than coffee makers that are only a little cheaper. And it will make 12 cups of coffee, which is a plus if you ever have visitors who like coffee or if you drink a lot yourself. It does its job, and it does it well.I have one quibble about this coffee maker, it’s the built in 2 hour shut-off, which you apparently don’t have any control over (Black & Decker says it’s a safety feature). I’s annoying. On my weekends I tend to start coffee when I get up, but I sometimes get busy and don’t get to it right away. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve gone in there to get a cup of coffee only to find out that the warming plate has turned off. Now, it’s simple enough just to turn it back on, and I usually get in there before the coffee has gotten too cold. But the simple truth is I would rather be able to make a full pot of coffee that could sit in there for 8 – 10 hours than something I have to babysit, or have to make a couple of cups of coffee at a time.The shut-off “safety feature” is mostly annoying because I have no control over it. I understand Black & Decker probably thought of it as a liability issue (because people love to sue corporations when they themselves have done something stupid), but it does seem like there should be a larger window in which to keep your coffee warm, or least make it something that’s variable up to a point. Sure, it makes sense to have the coffee maker shut off at some point, because people can and do forget to turn them off. But whoever set it at 2 hours is clearly someone who doesn’t actually drink coffee. lol.Overall, though, I’m very happy with this coffee maker. I’m sure I’ll buy another one when this one gives out.

Great price, easy to use, great cup of coffee
I ordered this in November and waited until I used it for a few months before writing a review. It is now January and I have used it almost every day. It is simple, makes great coffee, no spill over in the filter basket. No back-up flow from calcium buildup. Cleaned the system 2 x since with vinegar just as a precaution. Programming is simple. Fluid ratio on pot and in the well are about the same. Overall a good purchase for the price

Maybe I’ve come to expect too much from Black and Decker
So just to preface, it’s a good coffee pot because it makes good coffee and is overall simple to use. I bought it because I’ve found over many years that lack and Decker is a great go-to brand. That said, I have a few menial issues. But you know how the small things can eat away at you after some time. I took this picture to show how the deep well makes the filter kind of narrow which at times can lead to cave in. I suppose that could depend on the filter brand you use. Also, maybe this product would be really good for left-handers because the basket loop is on the right side where I want to pour the water in. Otherwise I’d say everything else is great- tue clock/timer, pitcher, etc.

Nice Coffee Maker
This is the first coffee pot Iâve bought in over three years. My other one was just you know it was time to let it go. It still worked, but it was time for a change this coffee pot or coffee maker is very cute lightweight functional and works quick, coffee stays hot no leakage the buttons are awesome. I love the time setter brews very quickly.

Product is great…Packaging not so much
PRODUCTWhat is not to like? I have used this coffee maker for decades under this and other brand names. It is very reasonably priced and delivers a hot cup of coffee with the added features of pause and serve and an automatic shutoff timer. These units provide reliable service for 3-4 years when cleaned out with an occasional vinegar rinse. My experience with them is the heating element goes out after a few years of daily use. Inthe end it will cost me a couple of pennies to make a pot of coffee over the life of the appliance. Cool.PACKAGING.Opening the box I found another box. Upon opening that box I found another box. Upon opening the third box I found a coffee maker packaged in a tough plastic bag and cardboard padding. The coffee maker and glass carafe were undamaged. Were all these boxes necessary? As i drink my coffee (coffee grown and roasted by free women without the use of chemicals) I feel the shame of my part in cutting down a tree to make three boxes. Not cool. Please take another look at packaging please.

Does everything the big coffee makers do. Basic design. Great functionality. Good coffee.
We bought this after our 21 year-old Cuisinart coffee maker finally died. We first bought another Cuisinart, and, although I’m fairly certain it would have lasted a long time, the footprint was huge; far larger than the old coffee maker. So, we decided to return the new Cuisinart and opt for something that would not take up so much counter space. We were happily surprised to find this B&D coffee maker which does everything the Cuisinart does but takes up less counter space (both horizontally and vertically). The design is classic; Looks like a basic on/off coffeemaker. However it also has a timer and the heat plate keeps the coffee warm for 2 hours. We like this product.

A Great Coffee Maker
This coffee maker is very straight forward, easy to use, and brews great tasting coffee that stays hot for hours. With a twelve cup programmable auto brew, you can plan your day around your first cup of coffee, taking the guess work out of at least one thing in your day. There is a two hour auto shut off too, which is nice because it keeps you from drinking stale and burnt coffee if youâve forgotten about the pot. The glass carafe is durable, easy to clean, and with pot being made of glass, you can quickly sneak a cup before the brew cycle completes since youâll be able to see when at least a cup has brewed.Black And Decker makes incredible, durable, and long lasting products & that is why when our first 12-cup programmable coffee maker died after four years, we purchased another. Our household loves this coffee maker.
