Important Notes
The Keurig K-Duo Plus operates on standard 120-volt electrical systems and requires access to water for operation. Always ensure the water reservoir is filled before brewing. The thermal carafe retains heat but should not be used to reheat coffee—it only preserves the temperature of previously brewed coffee. For best results, clean the brewer regularly according to Keurig’s maintenance guidelines to prevent mineral buildup and maintain performance. The unit includes the thermal carafe as part of the package; no additional accessories are listed. While compatible with all K-Cup pods, third-party reusable filters may require separate purchase. This model does not include a built-in grinder, so pre-ground coffee or K-Cups must be used. The pause-and-pour function works only during the initial stage of brewing and lasts up to 20 seconds.

FINALLY
Finally a great coffee maker thatâs super functional!I retired my (ninja) dual coffee maker, and the one thing I hated was that there was piece I had to remove or insert when making a pot or kcup and with this machine thereâs not major moving parts! Super user friendly for the older group; 34, 42, and 75 year old living here and we can all agree we love the coffee maker! Coffee comes out hot even without using hot water. My old coffee maker, Iâd have to use boiling hot water just for the coffee to be kinda hot lol great investment for sure! ALSO! no coffee grinds floating in my cup hahaha

Very versatile coffee maker
Follow up to my original review. After 10 months this machine has exceeded my expectations. This may be the best coffee maker I have ever owned.I bought this machine July 12 for $140. I owned a 10 cup Mr Coffee machine that had similar functions and features (except the K-cup capability) that I was very happy with. It was about 10 years old when it started leaking water from the reservoir which prompted me to replace it. The only issue I had with the old machine was capacity. On those occasions when my wife and I wanted an additional cup of coffee it was inconvenient to brew another half-pot or full pot that often didnât get fully used. This Keurig Duo seemed to be the perfect replacement. It features a 12 cup pot and has the K-cup feature for additional cups if needed. After reading several reviews on Amazon I identified 3 items that were a concern to me. 1. The permanent filter lets fines into the carafe. 2. The carafe doesnât keep the coffee hot enough, long enough. 3. Longevity, a few reviews noted breakdowns after a few months. I have only owned this machine for about 2 weeks so I donât have enough history to speak to the longevity issue. However, I can say that my first two concerns have been non-issues for me. The permanent filter DOES let fine coffee grounds through into the carafe. This problem is easily solved by using paper Bunn Coffee Filters BCF100 in place of the permanent filter. This works so well that in my opinion it renders the permanent filter a detractor rather than a benefit. The filter basket holder is easily removed and you can dump the filter and grounds out cleanly. Conversely the permanent filter has to be removed, cleaned and put back. In my estimation this is far more inconvenient. As far as temperature is concerned I find the Keurig carafe is probably less insulated than my old machine in that it seems to cool off faster. This is also not an issue for me. My perfect drinking temperature is somewhere around 145 degrees. The temperature of the coffee from the Keurig is 170 degrees right after brewing and is 168 at 30 minutes and 161 after 1 hour. The coffee pot is usually empty before the two hour mark in our home. So far the temperature has not been an issue for us. Other miscellaneous notes are: brew time for a full carafe is 9 minutes and 30 seconds; very reasonable. The auto delay brew function works well but is a little counterintuitive. I have to turn the machine on, push the auto button, and press the start button to âsetâ the delay function, then press the power button again OR it will brew a pot of coffee immediately. Counter space footprint is ideal for us. Registration of the product was slightly inconvenient because the Keurig registration system didnât recognize the serial number at first. I tried again after a few days and it worked fine so not really a significant issue.Overall – after 2 weeks of ownership I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend it highly. If it doesnât last for at least 5 years at the current price point however, I would not buy it again. Time will tell.

Very nice coffee pot. Works perfect
Love the fact that the reservoir can be put to either side or the back. Also does pods and coffee grounds.

My favorite Keurig so far, but minor room for improvement
I live alone, so Keurigs have served me well, and of the several I’ve used, this one is my favorite so far. Although 95% of the time I prepare individual cups for myself, it’s fantastic to have the option of making a full carafe when I have guests, and the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot without cooking it as bottom burners do. It’s a fantastic two-in-one device.PROS: small footprint, choice of three positions for water tank, carbon filter (optional), works well under standard 18″ counter height, lighted programmable LCD display, lighted buttons, intuitive interface, looks nice, comes with gold reuseable basket for the carafe, and makes great coffee! Also, I use the reusable universal K-Cup filter and it works great in this model too.CONS, which I’ll address individually:1. Because of the carafe height, the dispenser for the single-serve is also pretty high above the tray and can lead to splatter. So I simply place a former ceramic candle holder under my coffee mug to position the mug closer to the dispenser when I prepare a single-serve cup. Problem solved.2. Because the single-serve filter is positioned behind the large basket for the carafe, there is a little channel about 2″ long that transports the single-serve brewed coffee toward the front and dispenses it just behind the carafe dispenser. Pretty ingenious design, though you’ll need to remember to remove and clean this plastic channel piece regularly too or coffee oils could build up in it; fortunately, it’s easy to remove and put back in.3. The biggest room for improvement, imho, is that there is no way for the user to adjust the temperature of the water. Keurig should add this, for sure. In single-serve operation, the brewed coffee travels trickles down the internal channel mentioned above, instead of dropping directly into the cup. And I think this makes it lose a few degrees of temperature in the process. I usually have to nuke my coffee a few seconds because it’s just not hot enough straight out of the Keurig. If I could increase the brew temp myself, the problem would be solved. But overall, I’m really happy with this model and would buy it again.

I received my duo via Amazon but when I ordered it didnât specify that it was from Costco. They shipped quicker than expected, and included a bonus 1 lb ground coffee, 48 KCups and a spare coffee machine filter. So I was already impressed before even firing it up.Love the slim design and removable water canister that can be placed on the back or side. Love not having to fill the pot with water first then pour it into a coffee maker, usually ending up with water on the counter. The design allows me to make a pot of coffee and then use a KCup function or just straight water through the KCup function without having to remove the full pot coffee filter. They function through two different places. This important to note because if you want hot water for tea, it doesnât run through the full pot coffee filter area and taste like coffee. The coffee comes through hot into an insulated pot instead of warm and heated on a burner resulting in a bitter cup of coffee. Note, there is no burner. This actually works well for us as having a water softener, as with our other coffee makers, on occasion after washing the pot and placing on the burner, the salted water has corroded other coffee pot burners.Anyway, the flavour of the coffee is superior to any other coffee maker I have had. Now, the one flaw; insulated pot doesnât close completely so the coffee stays âwarmâ for two hours as advertised. Warm, not hot. Since my husband leaves for work before 5 am and coffee is timed for him, by the time I get a cup shortly after 6 am, it is warm, not hot. If I add cream, I have to reheat it in the microwave. This is a small point, not major but if you think it keeps the coffee hot for two hours you would be disappointed. The coffee is good enough to drink black though so without cream, itâs usually warm enough for the first much needed cup.

This machine takes up much less counter space than the earlier K-Duo, which I replaced after breaking two glass carafes, which are very expensive and slow to be delivered. It takes up less counter space and the water tank is easier to handle. It brews more quickly and the insulated stainless steel carafe keeps the coffee hot longer than the old one, which switched off automatically after a period of time. And hopefully, this carafe is unlikely to break.

Looks great on a small counter. Nice to have the programmable brewer. Only complaint and reason for 4/5 stars⦠reusable pods do NOT work in this brewer no matter what they say. Water leaks out the sides because they wonât fit properly. Can use ground coffee for the carafe only. For single cups youâll have to buy the Keurig pods.Update: The reusable pod will work as long as you donât overfill it with grounds.
