Benefits & Use Cases
This ceiling fan is engineered for versatility and long-term satisfaction. Its 52-inch blade span makes it ideal for open-concept living areas, spacious bedrooms, or high-ceilinged kitchens where consistent airflow is essential. The quiet motor ensures it won’t disturb quiet activities like reading, sleeping, or working from home, while the dimmable LED light eliminates the need for additional overhead fixtures—saving space and simplifying lighting plans.
The included handheld remote provides intuitive operation, letting you fine-tune both climate and lighting without getting up. If you later decide you’d prefer a wall-mounted switch for convenience (such as near the entrance of a room), the optional WCS213 wall control can be installed alongside the remote for dual-use flexibility. While full voice control via smart assistants isn’t built-in, it becomes possible by adding the Bond hub BD-1000—making future tech upgrades seamless and non-invasive.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the included downrod and comprehensive instructions, though professional help may be recommended for heavier installations or multi-story applications. The fan performs best when installed away from direct sunlight or excessive moisture unless your space has proper climate controls. Regular cleaning of blades and light housing will maintain optimal performance and appearance over time.
Important Notes
Please be aware that Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice control require the separate purchase of the Bond hub BD-1000, which is not included with the fan. Similarly, if you wish to install a wall-mounted control switch instead of or in addition to the included remote, you’ll need to buy the optional WCS213 unit separately. The package includes one RCS213 remote and one six-inch downrod; additional hardware or adapters may be needed depending on your ceiling type.
Always verify that your ceiling box is rated for ceiling fan support and properly grounded before installation. For safety and warranty compliance, follow all manufacturer guidelines regarding mounting height, clearance around blades, and electrical connections. Avoid operating the fan in extremely humid or wet environments unless it’s specifically rated for damp locations—this model is intended for indoor use only.

Great fan
I really like this fan. It is well made and out-of-the box was balanced, no vibration at all. The LED light is plenty bright enough to light up a good size room. The remote control works really well. Easy to dim the light and adjust the fan speed. It looks great as well. Very satisfied.

Stylish and quiet with a cool breeze and bright light
This ceiling fan is stylish and looks great in our family room. It is very easy to install and took less than an hour with one person (if I didn’t have to troubleshoot the RF receiver installation it would have been much quicker). I installed the short rod because it is located in front of a TV and the bottom of the light easily clears the view at 11.5 inches from the ceiling. I did not put on the motor cover so I could have access to the reversal switch and it doesn’t look that bad after removing the unsightly stickers – you might notice it right away because your attention is drawn to it right after installation but I don’t give it much thought any more. The fan is so quiet you can barely tell it’s on when on low or medium and with high the only sound is the air movement. The light is very bright and although it would be nice if it dimmed down a little more, I didn’t get it as a nightlight so it’s not a big deal for me. It would be nice if you could change the light bulbs because everyone has different preferences for light but I like the bright LED.Some tips on installation:1. Put the whole fan together first2. The RF receiver fits in the hanging bracket with a tight fit and will be difficult to maneuver if you attach the wires before putting it in place. I recommend putting the RF receiver in the bracket first, then put the fan in the bracket, and then attach all of the wires.3. I installed the switch (sold separately) and the remote and I’m glad I did. I hung the remote on the opposite side of the room so it allows us to control it from both sides.

I love this fan
I love this fan. I bought three of them. The assembly and mounting process was not difficult. The LED is nice and bright. These things quietly move a ton of air and are rock solid – no wobbles or vibration on any of them. We have standard 8 ft ceilings. I used the shortest mounting rod and YES YOU CAN use the motor cover when using the shortest mounting rod even though the manual says you can not. The only issue is that it is slightly more difficult to lift the motor cover up in order to access the rotation direction switch but YOU CAN do it. This isn’t an issue at all since I prefer to leave ceiling fans drawing cool air up – rotating counter clockwise – all the time. The remote is handy and it wasn’t hard to set all three up on different frequencies, but it does take a very uncommon battery size. That’s probably the only negative thing I can say about this light. I absolutely LOVE the style of this light. I kept the boxes these came in and the old light fixtures that these Minka’s replaced because the next time I move, these fans are coming with me.

Quiet, fast, bright, all around awesome fan
This has been installed for about a week now and it is great. This is one of the quietest fans in the house, I hope it does not get noisy like my other Hunter fans have over the years. The LED light is dim-able on this and on the bright setting it is very bright. The fan is very low profile with nothing hanging too low to hit my head on in the bedroom. The fan is fast and moves a lot of air which is very nice in the Texas summers. Some people have mentioned that you cannot use the top housing for the fan with the short carrier post, but that is not true, the top housing fit just fine. This fan looks great as runs awesome. The install was very easy and the remote functions are sweet.

Nice fan, looks good, runs quiet, slightly flawed design
These fans look great and move a lot of air quietly. After a lot of searching around this was one of very few fans with this modern look that ALSO was dimable via remote. I did find other similar products but for some reason those were still using expensive & inefficient halogen bulbs 🙁 ?The fans do have a couple of design issues. The LED bulb is proprietary so replacements will be a hassle and will be expensive orders from the manufacturer. Luckily LEDs should outlast the fan itself (20-30 yrs) but a faulty bulb that doesn’t die of natural causes will be a headache to replace. I know how to solder, but the bulb unit is totally sealed up so self repairs seem unlikely. The other design issue is absolutely infuriating…. ARE YOU LISTENING MINKA AIRE !!!!The LED is remote dimable and my this was my main reason for buying this fan. The remote has TWO buttons for controlling the lamp. A sane person would think that one button would increase brightness while the other button would decrease brightness. Not in Minka Aires’ world ! Both buttons do exactly the same thing. Hold it down and the lamp cycles through full brightness and back down to least bright. You have to stop when you reach your desired brightness. If you miss it then you have to go through the whole cycle again and hope you get it next time. I checked the instructions and, yes, this is how they designed it to function. There’s TWO buttons on the remote and I’d like to suggest these could be used individually, one for up? and the other for down?. Sounds crazy I know, but then I graduated high school unlike the designer at Minka Aire.I have no idea why they turned the dimmer function into a game of skill !!Spoils an otherwise great design !!Some others have mentioned that you can “get a bad unit” and I did experience this. I bought two and one had to be exchanged. It had two faults. This wasn’t a big issue to me but I describe it here in case my trouble shooting steps are useful to others. The first fault was a slight ticking with every full revolution of the fan. I supposed that this was something catching inside, since electric motors have brushes that are supposed to rub against the rotor, I let it run-in for 24hrs. The noise DID disappear and was probably just a carbon brush bedding itself in properly. I suggest people try this if they have a similar issue. The second fault, for the same unit, was that the remote receiver unit was finicky. The fan would always respond but the light wouldn’t always. Here’s what I tried before sending it back. Tested with the other remote from 2nd fan –> both remotes were fine. Repeated the sync procedure to “pair” the remote –> would respond well but then start acting up again within 20-30 mins. Finally I tried 2-3 different pairing frequencies, which you can set inside the remote –> no difference. The replacement unit was perfectly fine, just like the other one received in the first delivery.
