this is most comfortable as a single seater
I first saw this item when it aired on shark tank and thought it was genius. I didn’t get a chance to buy into it until now.I bought the King Sized Cordaroy Beanbag bed. While it’s setup as a bean bag, even though theoretically it can fit 2 people and maybe 3 if you squeeze in together, this is most comfortable as a single seater. The first time you sit on it after you fluff it up/repack it after using it as a bed, is important because if you sit on it wrong it’s hard to reposition the foam to fill in the right areas and instead of comfort it may feel too lumpy or too hallow without back support. One thing I do to make sure I have enough back support is make sure the Cordaroy label is right side up and showing at the effective “seating area” of the bean bag. If it’s on the side or even lopsided the foam inside doesn’t feel like it has enough support.At the end of the day though, the bean bag still could use a lot more filling. Even though we requested some more, no one from Cordaroy has gotten back to us.As a bed, the need for more filling is more evident. The bed is comfortable enough but the bed’s fullness is vastly different from the picture as shown. After a few hours you already feel the floor in some areas of the bed because there just isn’t enough stuffing. Even if we flipped it over and over to make sure to even out the filling, it doesn’t get to the other sides sometimes because there really just isn’t enough. It’s better than sleeping on the hardwood floor for sure. I’d still rather the whole bed feels like an actual bed though. Some areas it feels like it’s just like a really plush thick carpet after a few hours.What it lacks in comfort though it really makes up for in functionality. I love how I can make it a bean bag and then a bed especially since I just recently had relatives over. Although It’s fun trying to get them to lay it out and put it back in, it’s also a little sad and cumbersome that it’s virtually impossible to put it away by yourself.

Not the best and not the worst
When I first got it I noticed immediately that there was not enough foam. I knew going into this that it might happen to me after reading all of the reviews but I guess I was in denial. Luckily the customer service is great and they sent me more foam at no cost within 10 days. It is now 3 times larger than it was before. It’s very comfortable. Nobody has slept on it yet but I laid down for a little while and it isn’t amazing as a bed but it beats laying on hardwood floors. I’m a large adult and didn’t touch the floor so it’s not absolutely terrible. It was terrible when there wasn’t any foam though. With so many issues on the foam I’m surprised they don’t just provide the normal amount to begin with. The foam itself sticks together at first. You have to break it apart. You can do this outside of the bag. When I looked inside and saw the type of foam they use I understand why it sticks. It’s an annoyance at first but stays expanded than other teams over time.Pros:The concept is cool and convenientComfortable bean bagThe structure of the foam holds up well after many usesCats love it!Customer service is greatCons:Not enough foam with original purchaseZipper was broken to gain access to foam. (I’m aware you have to use a paperclip to get access but the zipper itself looked melted and there was no hole to put the paperclip in.)Jumped through hoops to repair the zipper and get more foam (2 week ordeal to finally use bean bag/bed)Uncomfortable bed but manageableI would have easily given this 5 stars total if all the foam that should have been provided in the first place came in. I wouldn’t have had to even make a zipper repair if this was the case. Additionally, I think the price is too high for what you get. It’s not an amazing/wow product. If you’re looking for a comfortable bean bag I suggest to spend half the cost for a different brand. If you like the concept of having an extra bed get a futon. If you’re like me and need the extra bed once in a blue moon and need the storage space then this is for you. Overall I would rate this as completely average. Not the best thing but also not the worst.

I purchased this as an alternative guest bedding option. However, my partner uses it several times each week as a crashpad, or for naps. It also came in extremely handy to sleep on during a flu.It’s quite large, and fairly heavy to move. In mattress form, the smallest size bag is still nearly the size of our queen mattress, and takes a Queensize fitted sheet. It fluffs up a lot, to over 12″ thick. But because its many small foam pieces, it does compress a lot when laid on. And benefits from being refluffed/foam redistrubuted between sleeps.It’s comfy for folks who like soft bedding. People who desire firm mattress support would likely be disappointed. But I’m very satisfied and feel like we’ve gotten our money’s worth.
