Online pictures doesnât do it justice
I did make a video review also. Let me start by saying that Ashley makes a YouTube video with assembly instructions, which is helpful to watch before beginning as the written instructions that come in the orange envelope leave a lot to be desired if youâre an amateur like me.After watching the video and putting the first chair together,(which took me about a half hour because of the learning curve) it was easy peasy after that.I did use my ottoman, which was a perfect height to help with assembly.The chairs are a nice white washed,solid wood finish with a very firm thick foam seat pad.I was hoping for more of a gray fabric instead of tan on the seats, however I think they look nice with my decor, regardless.As many people have stated in the reviews, chairs may wobble. One of my four chairs does have a slight wobble. Nothing I canât live with.These chairs because of the height allow you to sit with your legs fully and comfortably underneath the counter with room to spare. So many of the other chairs sold are just too tall and wonât allow you to get your legs under the counter comfortably.One of my chair seat frames was attached crookedto the seat pad. I decided to take the 6 screws out of the seat frame and realign it so it was squared up with the seat pad. This was very easy to do, which saved me from having to ship it back to Amazon.

Read before assembly
These chairs come with no instructions. However they are not all that difficult to put together. The first took me about 30 minutes moving slowly and deliberately to ensure everything went together easily as they come with a few different length bolts and the last thing I wanted was a bolt punching through the other side of a chair leg, etc. The second chair took about 15 minutes if that.To assemble, I loosely put everything together only tightening bolts a few turns to ensure proper placement of everything prior to torquing down.Bolt placement at end of review.I laid the chair back flat on the floor, placed the cushion in its spot with the alignment dowel in the alignment hole on the chair back.Next I placed the front legs and the side posts that tie the front legs to the rear legs, and finally the front post/foot rest.The mounting points front cross brace/foot rest should be below the mounting points of two side braces. Many pictures online show these chairs assembled both ways, and many pictures have both ways represented simultaneously. If your front brace is installed incorrectly you’ll notice the side braces will have an obvious rake or angle to them and attempts to tighten everything in this configuration will put a lot of stress on them.My chairs went together nicely and have very little wobble. Depending on their placement on the floor the wobble is increased or reduced to nothing as no surface is perfectly flat. Some cheap felt pads will keep the unloaded wobble to a minimum and there is no wobble when the chair is load bearing.Overall, 4 stars for these in regards to value. Pretty good pieces for the price.The 8 longest bolts – use 4 per chair. These hold the seat bottom/cushion to the seat back by fastening it to the legs. Their placement is in the back corners of the seat bottom/cushion.The 8 medium length bolts – use 4 per chair to fasten the front legs to the front of the seat bottom/cushion. Placement is front corners of the seat bottom/cushion.The 4 short bolts – use 2 per chair. These fasten the seat cushion to the chair back.6 wood screws, these are used to secure the thin posts between the legs.

I bought tge tabke and saddle back chairs and it only came with 2 chairs.I needed more seating and came across these chairs with the back rest.They are both from the designer, Ashley signature.They are the perfect match,! Tge cushions are padded and tge chairs are sturdy.Some of the reviews said the chairs were hard to put together and may require 2 people.My husband had the high back chairs assembled in 1.5 hr.s.. I liove them! It is a great find and value.I got the 24 inch, counter top height.They come in different sizes too.This price included 2 chairs and usually one chair costs that much!Great find for me.

Buyer Beware!
Ok, I bought ‘used like new’ and it was anything but! To start, i have put together many furniture and Im a draftsman by trade. Instructions are not the problem, it’s the chairs and hardware. The seat of the chair’s base is off which means none of the screws are long enough. It took me almost an hour to find that out. It seems others have had luck with theirs, but I didnt with this one. So buyer beware on buying ‘used like new’, because there just might be a reason!
