- High Weight Support Capacity: Designed to handle doors weighing up to 180 pounds, this system accommodates both lightweight hollow-core bifold doors and heavier solid wood or glass-paneled versions commonly found in residential settings.
- Complete Installation Package: Includes everything needed for a full install: one 40-inch rail, two top-mount rollers with rotating bases and fixators, three adjustable rail supports, three heavy-duty hinges, one floor guide, and one sealing strip to reduce noise and prevent gaps.
- User-Friendly Setup Process: Comes with a clear step-by-step graphic manual and access to online digital guides and video tutorials. The intuitive design minimizes confusion during assembly, though wall type and alignment may require minor tweaks depending on your structure.

Benefits & Use Cases
This bi-fold barn door hardware kit excels in applications where space optimization and aesthetic appeal are priorities. Its top-mounted design eliminates the need for a bottom track, making it perfect for areas with rugs, low furniture, or carpet transitions where tripping hazards could arise from traditional floor-mounted systems. Homeowners frequently choose this setup for master closets to conceal clutter, in laundry rooms to hide unsightly machines, or as stylish room dividers in open-plan living areas.
The quiet operation stands out in shared spaces such as apartment units or homes with young children or light sleepers—many users specifically note how unobtrusive the sliding motion is compared to louder competing models. Additionally, the industrial black finish complements contemporary, farmhouse, or urban minimalist interiors, instantly elevating the visual tone of any room.
Customers appreciate not just the performance but also the completeness of the kit. Since the door itself isn’t included, buyers have the flexibility to select a matching bifold door from their preferred supplier, ensuring perfect color, texture, or glass pattern coordination with existing décor. This modular approach reduces waste and allows for future upgrades without replacing the entire system.
Installation feedback consistently highlights the value of the provided manual and online resources. While some DIYers report needing a level, drill, and measuring tape (all standard tools), nearly all agree the process is straightforward once the ceiling height requirement is verified. Minor adjustments during alignment are common but easily corrected using the included adjustable rail supports.
Important Notes
- Door Not Included: This package contains only the hardware—specifically the rail, rollers, mounts, hinges, floor guide, and sealing strip. You must source your own bi-fold door separately.
- Ceiling Clearance Is Critical: Ensure at least 5⅜ inches of vertical space between the top of your door and the ceiling before purchasing. Insufficient clearance will prevent proper installation.
- Track Length Calculation: The total track length should equal the combined width of both door panels (e.g., 18″ + 18″ = 36″) plus an additional 4 inches (100mm) to allow smooth folding and opening.
- Adjustability During Install: Rail supports offer limited tilt adjustment (±2 degrees) to fine-tune horizontal alignment if walls aren’t perfectly straight—common in older homes.
- Customer Support Availability: EaseLife provides 24-hour customer service via email and messaging platforms. If any components arrive damaged, missing, or if you encounter installation challenges, support agents respond promptly with replacement parts or troubleshooting guidance.
- Compatibility Reminder: Only designed for interior use with standard bifold doors. Not suitable for exterior weather exposure, fire-rated assemblies, or commercial-grade traffic.

Size is limited, materials and build are very good.
The smallest size 28in long for 24in door; If you look around, this isnât a common item. So I canât state enough that I am thankful this product exists.I brought this for a bathroom closet that is on the small size. You triple measure before you buy. This fits really well. The anchor and mounting hardware is indeed heavy duty. The touch and feel of material is very good. I think the instructions are mostly good. But like others have said, there are some sections that could be better. The one other thing I would/might add is the super small hex bolt that connects the door to pulley, that can be improved. Itâs not âloose,â but it just sort of screws in and there is no tight enough. I understand that itâs built that way so the bifold can pivot and fold. But the mini hex bolt can be maybe longer so you can more secure. The second thing I would like improved is maybe the pivot floor hinge be adjustable and (higher) bigger. For example, if you donât have a door that reaches all the way to the actual floor. Again, these are minor things. And anything for this size is not easy to find, so it was totally fine and works well. And finally, the 3rd thing is the pulley is more up right and doesnât feel loose. I highly doubt it will fail or fall off the track. But if you come from a regular bifold door world, itâs on a rigid track and there is no âfreeâplay.

Worked extremely well!
This product worked/was exactly as advertised, instructions were great, it was easy to install, very quiet and sturdy. The doors I bought were quite heavy (100lbs total) and they worked and look great. They glide effortlessly. One thing to note, which I did not realize until after I had them up and installed, is that with a barn door type install, you will have an extremely annoying 2-3â gap between the door outsides and your trim/wall. As mine is a laundry closetâ¦not gonna work. I researched the web and it is a well documented problem with lots of solutions- none of which I particularly liked.I went with a 2 pieces of acrylic (white, translucent) 1/16â x 5â x length of door (minus a bit) and this worked perfectly. A video is included. The company I used was estreetplastics.com and they custom cut and I had my product in 4 days.

Nice accent door
The hardwear is very heavy duty and built well. Installing wasnât easy though. Took awhile to get it right. It took a little altering to make the door not appear to be sticking out far, but that just takes some trim on the sides. Overall, I do like it. It slides nicely and doesnât get stuck.

Inexpensive solution to DYI barn doors for tight spaces
So … critical part of this barn door kit is height of rail – it has to be perfect and level along with LAG BOLTS HITTING A STUD OR HEADER – from there the directions are like in micro type – measurements are based in an “on center” which is OK but hard to see on diagrams – I used hollow core cheap “24 doors from Lowes and hope the brackets that hang door last because they screwed into MDF inner core of door verse a real piece of wood – PILOT DRILL ALL HOLES – al in all first door install was an education and 2nd went up in less than an hour – all in all happy with the result

Great quality hardware and kit
Overall the installation was not difficult, although the directions could have been clearer in certain areas and the order of an installation for a few items had me scratching my head a few times. However the quality of the hardware is very well made and operation is very quiet and smooth. Overall we are very happy with the purchase!

Hire somebody to install it
This product looks fantastic and works great once it is installed. However – installing it is the problem…The directions seem like they were written by a third grader who does not speak English. I installed it with an assistant – both of us have Engineering degrees and heavy construction backgrounds – and it still took us about 9 hours to install it because of all the things we had to figure out on our own which were not mentioned in the instructions.

Strong hardware
Nice kit, quite a few parts. Robust hardware which is good because I used it on solid mdf bifolds that were very heavy.Works as advertised.Planning ahead and layout are important with this project. Well worth it.
