Portable, adjustable, functional, lightweight
I knew I wanted a lap desk for my laptop to use in the evening just before I went to bed, and I purchased one to find out that there was much more to a lap desk than just a lap desk. Let me explain… Not all Lap Desks are created equally; sure the basic features are the same, namely you look for one that supports the size of your laptop, and one that can be adjusted for comfort. But there are so many other things that I missed. For example, the surface material, the stoppers that prevent your laptop or mouse from sliding off when tilted. whether or not there’s a cutout to vent your laptop, or if there are other features like a cup holder, or a cell phone holder, or a tablet holder, and the like. This all came out when I was using my first lap desk tray and I kept saying to myself, “you know, it would be nice if…”So I made a list of all the features I was looking for and went back to search on Amazon.I found this Saiji Laptop Bed Desk Tray and it ticked off all the boxes!Here’s my list of needs in a Lap Desk:Adjustable in both height and tilting angle (I am a smaller person so height is a factor so that my arms are not raised to high or at an awkward angle.)Easy to clean (I take written notes and if I get ink stains, I want to be able to keep it clean). Also, if I get breakfast in bed and I don’t need a daily reminder of any previous accidents.)Grip. When using my laptop, I often have it a slight angle and I don’t need the mouse to keep sliding off.Easy storage. I wanted something I could easily break down that uses minimum space for storage. The slimmer the profile the better.This Saiji model has a man-made synthetic surface that looks like leather (but it’s not). It’s textured which gives it the slightest amount of grip I was looking for when slightly angled to keep the mouse in place (too much grip and the mouse will have difficulty moving). The surface is washable which makes cleaning up spills and stains a breeze when done immediately. There’s a trough at the bottom and a removable bar to keep your laptop in place. An invisible lip also runs across the entire width which prevents your mouse from sliding completely off, and it has a hidden sliding drawer to keep some stationary or store your glasses.But as prepared as I was with requirements, I was pleasantly surprised in discovering one additional feature that I absolutely love. This table has sleigh legs, allowing the ability to slide the table away from you and providing easy access in and out. Bonus!This lap desk table was way better than my initial one, and I’m very pleased with the purchase.

Sturdy, versatile, and a PERFECT workspace for lap cats!
This thing has been such a huge productivity-saver for me. I have two very clingy cats who LOVE to get in my space when Iâm drawing or working on my laptop. This has been the perfect solution for working at home with them. At least one of my cats (pictured) now knows that if the tray is out, she will automatically curl up under it. My other cat will try to lay on TOP of it, but usually I can convince him to lay somewhere else. Being able to adjust the height and tilt makes it incredibly customizable for tablet/notebook use and laptop use, as well as easy to adjust the angle to account for where you are sitting and if there is a creature taking up space in your lap.It might be a little wider than Iâd like, but the collapsible legs make it easy to wedge in between couch cushions and fit into many spaces. Itâs a little bulky, but itâs very well constructed and has endured drops, spills, and many different awkward angles.The only complaint I have is that the compartment isnât quite deep enough for me to store much in it, like my wired mouse, and can slide open if the tray is tipped to that side.Regardless, I highly recommend it if you do any sort of work, creative stuff, or gaming from a laptop. Even if you donât have pets that like to try and get your attention when youâre working, itâs great for so many uses because of its tilt and height customizability. If you do have pets, your cats will greatly appreciate being able to spend time with you while you work without getting in your way. 🙂

It’s all in the little details…
There are literally 100’s of different laptop trays being sold on Amazon, and prices range anywhere from $15 for the real basic surface to $120 for the fancier looking ones. In looking through many of them, I’ve come to realize that it’s all about the little details. I made a list of things that suited my needs; surface size, height adjustable, collapsible, portability, are the obvious ones, but there are many less-obvious ones too.For example, is there something to keep your mouse from sliding down the surface if the table is tilted? Or is there something to support your laptop to prevent it from sliding off? How slippery is the surface? Or is it slightly tacky to keep things in place. How much does the thing weigh? How easy is it to maneuver the unit when you’re in bed? On the couch? On the floor?What I concluded was that it was these small details that made the difference and defined what really mattered. This Saiji model has a techno-leather (pleather) surface which provides minimal tack and easy clean up for spills and stains. It has a removable bar to keep your laptop in place, an invisible lip to prevent your mouse from sliding completely off, and it has a hidden sliding drawer to keep some stationary or store your glasses. But what sealed the deal for me were the sleigh legs, allowing the ability to slide the table away from you and providing easy access in and out. Quality and Materials is the last thing you should consider. Alloys like aluminum are both lightweight and strong; in contrast, plastic is weak, and sadly I must report that the joints (leg and tilt) are plastic… the only downfall I found.This portable table is priced higher than most of it’s competitors, but it contained all the features I was looking for. There’s currently an additional 40% savings on top of the sale price (at time of this post) driving the price to about 60% off the RRP, so it’s a really good deal in my opinion, so much so that I’m going to purchase a second one!

1st of all It was neatly packed with zero damage to the product. excellent packing. The laptop table is lightweight and easier to carry around. Excellent quality material and easily foldable. The nonslip PVC surface provide excellent workspace and stability. I get sufficient space to use a mouse after placing my15.6-inch laptop.

It’s a great product. Though the price is a bit high it is totally justified. The leather is premium and the table is quite sturdy. It does not tilt a lot (see photo for maximum tilt) it does the job. The stopper can also be removed which is very helpful. You can adjust the tilt and height very easily and it folds completely which makes the storage easy. Overall a great product and would highly recommend if you wish to work on a bed.
