Product Overview

The NuWave Bravo XL Air Fryer Convection Toaster Oven Countertop is a versatile 30-quart kitchen appliance designed for home cooks who want precision, flexibility, and powerful performance in one compact unit. With 112 pre-programmed functions, it supports air frying, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, dehydrating, toasting, reheating, and defrosting. Built with advanced technology and intuitive controls, this countertop oven delivers consistent results across a wide range of temperatures from 50°F to 500°F. Ideal for families or individuals seeking to expand their cooking capabilities without sacrificing counter space, the Bravo XL combines smart features with durable construction to support everyday meal preparation with confidence.

Key Features

  • Intuitive Digital Controls: Adjust time and temperature on-the-fly during cooking. The digital interface allows precise control over every stage of the cooking process, making it easy to fine-tune settings as needed without restarting.
  • Linear Thermal (Linear T) Technology: Maintains accurate temperature throughout the entire cooking cycle by continuously monitoring heat fluctuations and automatically adjusting every second. This ensures consistent results whether you’re slow-roasting or quickly air-frying.
  • Dual Heat Zones: Independently control top and bottom heating elements plus the convection fan for customized heat distribution. This enables techniques like setting bottom heat high and top heat low to achieve a crispy crust on pizza while keeping toppings perfectly melted.
  • Integrated Smart Digital Thermometer: Once your desired internal doneness temperature is set—such as 145°F for medium-rare chicken—the built-in thermometer monitors food throughout the cycle and automatically stops cooking when that target is reached, preventing overcooking.
  • Carryover Cooking Mode: Accounts for residual heat that continues after the oven shuts off. When activated, this feature prevents carryover cooking from drying out meats or fish once they’ve been removed from the oven.
  • Multi-Layer Cooking Capability: Features four rack positions supported by heavy-duty racks rated to hold over 30 pounds each. This makes it possible to cook multiple dishes simultaneously—ideal for preparing full meals at once.
  • 112 Pre-Set Functions: Offers preset programs for air frying, grilling, baking, broiling, roasting, dehydrating, reheating, defrosting, and toasting. These simplify common tasks and ensure reliable outcomes with minimal input required.

THIS OVEN HAS ALL MY LOVIN’
So I bought this oven during the winter when the gas company decided to hike prices while raking in record profits. They do it every year, but this year, it was especially bad. After a $300 gas bill without even turning the heat on, I decided to buy this oven to replace my full-size gas oven (yay, solar panels). After buying this, my gas bill was more than cut in half, and now that prices have come back down, it’s only $20 / month. This oven literally paid for itself. This was hands-down the best purchase of 2023 so far. Are the controls non-intuitive? Absolutely. I mess up and don’t actually start the preheating or don’t actually start the timer at least once a week despite having it for a few months now.Is it difficult to clean? Ehhh. I tried baking a cake I normally do in two layers in 3 smaller layers, and the cake pans overflowed all over the heating elements and bottom tray. It turned into birthday pudding. But the baked-on bits of char came right off once the oven had cooled down, and now there’s not even the lingering smell of failure.Does it cook food so evenly and efficiently that you’ll wonder how you ever cooked before you had it? YOU BET. Having such a small cavity means you use less energy overall compared to a much more voluminous gas oven. When you open the door to put food in, there’s always a temperature drop, but a smaller oven reaches cooking temperature again more quickly because there is less air to heat up inside of it.In fact, when baking muffins and cakes, I’ve actually had to knock about 25F off the cooking temperature (thanks to the fan) and also turn off the top heating element to prevent premature caramelization and burning. OH, did I mention you can control the heating elements independently on a scale from 0 – 100%!?The only downside is that BECAUSE it’s a smaller oven, I’ve had to either buy new pans or accept the fact that I can’t use certain cooking methods. Most 12-cup muffin pans won’t fit. It’s got a maximum clearance of about 14 inches (~35.56 cm) from side to side and a depth (front to back) of about 10 inches (~25.4 cm). The muffin pans with the curved sides won’t fit. You need a straight, rectangular one (which you can find right here on Amazon!) I can actually fit my cast iron skillet in there turned diagonally, though just barely, and there isn’t enough vertical clearance for a Dutch oven of any size. The bottom line: this oven is quality, and you will not regret purchasing it. Whether you’re baking, toasting, roasting, broiling, or just reheating food, everything comes out perfectly.

Great replacement appliance for my oven
My oven broke so I opted to try and find a convection oven/air fryer/toaster to replace it. After doing extensive research I chose this one for the reviews, size, functionality, etc. I am very happy with the purchase! I have baked a whole chicken, cookies, pie, pizza, toast, etc. I am keeping my small basket air fryer to use since I am not sure this works great as an air fryer, maybe it was because I was using parchment paper. I recommend this if you are looking for a toaster/oven combo.

    Love the grill!
What I like the best about this oven is that food cooks faster and better than in a conventional oven. After work I have time to make dinner, walk the dog AND work out. This is the ONLY way I cook chicken now. It takes some time to figure out but directions are good. A good rule of thumb is if you’re following a recipe, you have to cut the minutes that you would cook in a conventional oven because the air frier cooks faster. The meat probe I checked against a traditional meat probe and it is always accurate. It has a pull out crumb tray, so it’s easy to clean. As well as, all the trays being dishwasher safe. Though the probe is not.

    Great oven/air fryer
I bought it this Black Friday and it works perfectly! We used it for French fries, chicken, fish , bread, and cake. Now I’m using it to make a dry aging ribeye steaks for Xmas dinner! The temperature is about right. Now we can have so crispy fries and chickens.Bottom pulled out tray is easy to clean.Size is a bit wider than I expected but still ok.The downside is that it came with coated bake trays, not aluminum trays. I don’t like coated trays because they are easy to get scratches and that is not good for your health.

The toaster temperature is set at 450 and unchangeable. The oven gets very hot too quickly. When I first turned it on it worked for a few minutes and then when off. Very disappointed.
