A microwave, straight-up!
What a nice little machine! No frills, no fuss. Timers are clear (minutes only, not seconds), has a nice little bell ping when it’s done, which is nicer than a digital beep to me. Nice size doesn’t hog the counter. Dinner plate fits, as well as my heat wrap which is rather large (for the shoulders).A few little details for you:–The interior light works only when the microwave is running. It does not stay lit when you open the door, even if there is time left on the timer.–If you take your food out while there is time left on the timer, when you shut the door it will resume running. (I would have to press ‘start’ again on my other microwave to resume if I opened the door while cooking). So if you’re done cooking before the timer runs out, you just turn the dial back til you hear the bell ping which turns it off. OR, alternately I suppose you could leave the door ajar. The timer won’t run when the door is open.–It does slide on the counter unless you open it carefully; however, this is easily remedied by putting anti-skid material underneath the 4 feet of the microwave (i used 4 little pieces of the anti-skid rubber material you put under throw rugs). Now I can open it as I normally would any heavy object and it will not shift.–There is no clock on it, no digital face, so there is no ‘nightlight’ glow from it.–The manual says if you want to set the timer for anything less than 2 minutes, you need to turn the dial beyond 2 minutes and then back to where you want it. I did not find this necessary. I set it on 1 minute and it ran for 1 minute (or so – hard to be exact on the dial).A very straightforward design, which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s great!!(Note: I bought mine from Amazon seller HPP Enterprises)

Well Worth the Difficulty, Three Tries, and Wait-EXCELLENT MICROWAVE with KNOBS Especially for the ELDERLY
All this exact model, the first microwave was advertised with cosmetic damages at a reduced cost of $45. It arrived dented and we were unable to open the door. The second microwave was poorly manufactured; the bottom was pushed in, it sat at a slant, screws hung out of the bottom, the door was wrong with not only the label on the door having been put on backwards. Both of those microwaves were shipped back. But the reviews on the AMAZON Site were excellent for this precise model and my 96 year old grand aunt wanted a microwave with knobs not digitally controlled. So, we tried one more time. And it IS a BEAUTIFUL, sweet, functional microwave, easy to operate just as was declared, and it takes up little room on the counter. The customer service for returning the first two has been impeccable, easy except the awkwardness of handling a boxed microwave from the car into the UPS building, and the refund was issued timely. The customer service for Westinghouse was also personally accommodating, courteous, and efficient. We took out and folded the “piece of cardboard over the light” and realized after we read the manual it was a “mica plate” that needed to stay in the microwave. The customer service representative quelled our anxieties, validated our findings, and had a mica plate expedited overnight. This Westinghouse microwave is a wonderful kitchen appliance; if you get a lemon, ship it back and try again. We were willing to try three times, and we are glad we did! THANK YOU!

I wanted to write this review to hopefully help anyone else in my situation. My Father has lost a lot of his vision and struggles with every day activities, including being able to heat up his food/beverages. I tried colored dots and everything I could think of until I found this! This little microwave is compact, so it doesnât take up a lot of counter space, but itâs powerful. Itâs large enough to heat up dinner plates and drink mugs with no issues. The best thing is that all he has to do is turn the dial. No numbers or buttons that he cannot see!!! There are different heat settings, but for him, we chose the setting and he doesnât even have to think about that. He just turns the dial and counts in his head (because he cannot see the numbers). Nothing that he has to worry about seeing! It has given him back some of his independence and something so little means the world to him!!! Thank you!!!!!

Fits perfectly and heats food well
This microwave is great. I designed my new kitchen without a large microwave mounted above an oven or stove. A small size microwave was needed to fit into the appliance garage along with my coffee maker. This small Chef brand is perfect. It heat water to the boiling point quickly for tea; a regular size dinner plate (11â) fits perfectly. Allow for 12â depth front to back due to the small 1â peg mounted on the back, probably clearance for ventilation.

Purchased for senior with dementia – purchased because of easy to use. Buttons.First oven arrived badly damaged – microwave delivered in original box no extra boxing/protective wrapping to protect it.The replacement arrived very quickly but with same packaging or lack there of but did not look damaged ( hope inner electronics were not damaged in shipping due to lack of proper packaging.The microwave works fine – itâs very basic and a lower end model but does the job for purpose intended.Very compact and great for small spaces. So far quite happy with purchase.

Has the basic microwave features that I need. I downsized from a much larger and more powerful microwave oven and I find this little oven does just as good a job. Defrosting, and cooking are intuitive using the two simple controls. It does want I want it to do.I am happy with the units appearance and quality. A very good value.

Rien de compliqué, les fonctions sont basiques : un bouton rotatif pour la durée de cuisson (réchauffement) et un pour le niveau de chaleur.Petit, mais efficace. Je recommande !
