I little expensive, but you will not regret it,

Poor quality
The price I paid I would have thought I would have gotten a better quality treads . They are a very thin plastic material and does not stay in place . I’ve bought this type of tread before that held well on the stairs ,

Thick and durable!!
These worked great – and looked very nice on the steps. BEST thing is that they were shipped flat so there was no fighting for days to try and shape them. I did attach with upholstery nails to keep them in place (pre drilled holes) and so that I can easily remove to clean underneath and then replace again. Only thing is would have liked them to fit a little deeper and wider to fit the whole stepâ¦but it covers the majority. Great investment thus far!

Generally stick well but slide over time; a bit pricey
Common entry steps were getting really dirty from the outside dirt, rain, etc. Bought two of these to test them out as they are VERY expensive given they are just clear plastic (vs. say an electronic product at 1/3 of the cost with parts, wires, circuits and packaging, etc.). Was pleased at how easily they “attached” to the bottom steps, but noticed after a couple of days they shifted and slid a lot. I think a full plastic runner would be much more economical and effective. Decided to not proceed given the cost ( it would have been at least $300 more dollars for the remaining stairs vs. a $60 for an end-to-end plastic runner.

Not perfect but itâll do.
Have two carpeted steps I had to protect. They do slide a bit and I must realign them every so often. But I donât know of any other options. They are quite expensive though.

Heavy Duty Treads for carpeted stairs
Easy to place on carpet. Easy to clean spills, pick up to clean rug. The treads keep it in place. Sturdy heavy duty plastic. Quality and priced right.

DISSAPOINTED
Since this product comes in set of 2 I first purchased 1 set to see if it would work on my stair case of 15 stairs . I wanted to try them before investing in 6 more sets because they are pricey . The first set of 2 were great ! So I went ahead and confidently invested in 6 more sets . They shipped them in 2 different shipments with 2 sets each box. The second set were just as great as the first . They covered the stairs nicely , are very playable and stay in place for the most part I was content . Unfortunately I was disappointed when the 3rd shipment arrived . That plastic is very hard and does not wrap around the curve on the stairs at all. Iâve tried to force them in and step on the curve to smooth it out so they wrap on the curve of the stair but once someone steps on them they come right off. At this point theyâre just a hazard and an accident ready to happen ! I wish they were all the same plastic as the first 2 sets . They wouldâve been great! Disappointed due to the large investment . They would be great if only you Knew what plastic you were to be getting . Thatâs why Iâm giving 2 stars because 3 sets were great !

Unconventional application – worked great
Granted, I did not purchase these to protect carpeting. I purchased these to guard a windowsill and window from my dogs who tend to get whacky when the mailman drops mail in the slot. Their nails can chip paint and wood from the windowsill and can even scratch the window glass. I was looking for a solution and these work fabulously. The original idea was to have the nubby side up but when they arrived I found the lip fit perfectly under the windowsill and two side by side were the exact right length (luckily). I used two finishing nails for each just to keep them in place. The sill is protected and there is a slope of the protector against the glass that keeps the dogs from getting a foot hold. How do they work as a carpet protector? Couldn’t say. They are pretty stiff so can see how that might not work for some folks and they would need to be tacked down for sure.As a windowsill protector….they work great!

Only 2 pieces in there for 2 steps on top of that itâs still slippery and doesnât properly stick

This product and description was misleading. I the big box was 2 strips of plastic and it cost me 41 pounds. I could not cover my staircase.
Ray Dent –
Must be tacked down for safety. Even high end carpets get dirty quickly and wear excessively without this protection. Fitted carpets are very expensive to replace.

It hardly covers the standard size stairs, doesn’t stay well on carpetted stairs. Expensive and useless.
