Product Overview
The ZEKOO 72″ Bifold Sliding Barn Door Hardware Track Kit provides a complete, ready-to-install solution for mounting bifold closet doors in interior spaces. Designed with both functionality and ease of use in mind, this kit is ideal for homeowners, renters, or DIY enthusiasts who want to replace traditional swinging doors with sleek, space-saving sliding barn doors. Featuring an I-shaped top mount roller system and a pre-assembled 72-inch track, the kit supports four individual bifold panels—each measuring 17 inches wide—creating a seamless, modern look for closets, pantries, bathrooms, and other common areas. With no permanent alterations required and minimal tools needed, installation is straightforward, making it a practical upgrade for any home improvement project.
Key Features
- I-Shaped Top Mount Roller: The precision-engineered I-shape roller ensures stable support and smooth gliding across the track. By minimizing contact friction, it reduces wear and noise, allowing doors to slide quietly and consistently over time—ideal for bedrooms, bathrooms, and high-traffic living areas.
- Easy Installation Process: This kit includes all necessary hardware, including mounting brackets, screws, and a full-color step-by-step instruction guide. No specialized tools or professional assistance are required, enabling most users to complete the setup within an hour.
- Smooth & Quiet Operation: Engineered for quiet performance, the combination of the I-shaped roller and durable track delivers silent movement, even with frequent use. The system’s balanced design prevents wobbling or misalignment, ensuring reliable operation day after day.
- 72-Inch Track Compatibility: The 72-inch track is specifically designed to accommodate door openings up to that width, supporting four 17-inch bifold panels. This makes it suitable for standard interior doorways and custom closet configurations where space optimization is key.
Technical Specifications
- Track Length: 72 inches
- Compatible Door Width per Panel: 17 inches (four panels total)
- Mounting Type: Top-mounted (ceiling or beam above doorway)
- Roller Design: I-Shape (for reduced friction and enhanced stability)
- Included Components: Track, rollers, mounting brackets, screws, and detailed installation guide
Benefits & Use Cases
This hardware kit transforms standard interior spaces by replacing bulky swinging doors with elegant, space-efficient sliding barn doors. Whether used in a laundry room, pantry, bathroom, or living area, the ZEKOO bifold system maximizes usable floor space and adds a contemporary aesthetic to any room. The modular design allows for flexible layout planning, letting you customize how the doors fold open—either toward one side or in a center configuration. Because the track mounts above the doorway, it works well in rooms with limited wall clearance, making it a versatile choice for both new builds and renovations.
For renters or those unable to make structural changes, this kit offers a non-invasive alternative that doesn’t require painting or altering walls. It’s also perfect for small apartments or offices where every inch counts. The quiet glide ensures comfort in daily use, while the durable construction supports long-term reliability without frequent maintenance.
Important Notes
- No doors are included; this package contains only the mounting hardware and track system. You must source your own bifold doors separately.
- For optimal performance, ensure the ceiling or mounting surface is strong enough to support the full weight of the track and doors. A minimum overhead clearance equal to the track length is required above the doorway.
- Recommended door thickness typically ranges between 1.38″ to 1.5″. Confirm compatibility with your chosen doors before installation.
- Installation should be done on a solid surface such as wood studs, metal beams, or reinforced drywall—not on standard drywall alone without proper backing or anchors.
How to Choose the Right Size Track
Selecting the correct track length is essential for a smooth and secure fit. We recommend choosing a track length that is at least 6 inches longer than the width of your doorway opening. For example, if your doorway measures 60 inches wide, a 66-inch track would be appropriate—giving you extra space on each side to prevent binding and ensure easy door movement. This buffer allows for minor adjustments during installation and accommodates door thickness, preventing the doors from rubbing against the frame when fully closed.
This sizing principle applies regardless of whether you’re installing two-panel or four-panel bifold systems. Since this kit supports four 17-inch panels (totaling 68 inches), it’s best suited for openings around 60–72 inches wide—leaving 1 to 6 inches of clearance on each side. Always measure your doorway accurately and account for any trim or molding that might affect the available width.

For very small barns… or closets (I suppose).
When I first laid eyes on the âZEKOO 36â Bifold Sliding Barn Door Hardware Track Kit,” I thought, âHow hard can it be to install a couple of doors?â Little did I know, this kit would turn me into the Bob Ross of home improvement – minus the happy little trees, of course.First off, letâs talk about the instructions. They were so clear and straightforward that even my cat could follow along. And trust me, he is more interested in chasing laser pointers than reading manuals. But there he was, pawing at the pages like he was born to be a handyman. The installation process was smoother than a jazz saxophone solo. I half-expected to hear some smooth jazz playing in the background as I effortlessly slid the doors into place. The hardware glided so quietly that I had to double-check to make sure I wasnât installing ghost doors. Spoiler alert: I wasnât.Now, letâs address the elephant in the room – or rather, the lack of doors. Yes, the kit doesnât include the actual doors, but who needs doors when you have a track kit this fabulous? I briefly considered just leaving the track up as a modern art installation. Itâs that sleek.

36″ bifold sliding barn door hardware
This has been a game changer for me. I live in an older house and the door sizes are uncommon dimensions so I have been using an adjustable shower curtain rod and curtains as my doors. I was able to fabricate a custom size bi-fold door and use this barn door hardware to install in place of my tacky looking curtain rod. Overall very impresses with the design, material, and function of this hardware.

So Much Easier Than Traditional Bifold
This made door installation a beginning level DIY project. It’s sturdy and holds the door well once it’s installed. The wheels glide easily along the rail and makes the closet look so much more up to date than the previously installed bifold door.

Very Efficient
This hardware kit allows you to use two identical doors in a bi-fold configuration to cover an opening up to 48″. The hardware is very easy to attach and install. It is very well made and operates smoothly. It is a simple and easy way to avoid the in or out swing of a full sized door. It’s pretty much fool proof.

Adds a unique look to a plain Bi-Fold door
This a heavy-duty kit and should handle any door you want to hang on it. Make sure you have a structurally solid wall to mount it on. It’s a genuinely nice kit and has everything you might need. A helper will be a plus to install.Overall, this kit adds a unique look to an otherwise plain bifold door and works well.

We recently installed the ZEKOO 48″ Bifold Barn Door Hardware Track Kit for our closet, and it has completely transformed the look and functionality of the space. We used it with two 22â doors, and the sleek, modern design of the top mount system immediately stood out. The kit itself is of great quality, with a smooth, quiet sliding mechanism that operates without a hitch. What really impressed me was how sturdy everything feels â the hardware is heavy-duty, and Iâm confident it will last for years to come. One of the biggest advantages of this kit was how easy it was to install. The instructions were clear, and all the necessary parts were included, making the process straightforward even for someone who isnât a professional installer. We managed to get the hardware set up in just a couple of hours, and once installed, the doors glided perfectly on the track. The I-shaped hangers provide great support, and even though the doors werenât included, finding doors that fit the specifications was easy.Beyond functionality, the ZEKOO Bifold Barn Door Kit adds a modern farmhouse charm to our room. The smooth, quiet operation makes it an ideal choice for anyone looking for an elegant, space-saving solution. If you want a high-quality, easy-to-install bifold door hardware kit, I highly recommend this product. Itâs well worth the price and really enhances the look of any room!

This product was perfect for our situation where we had a restricted area and needed to divide the opening using a folding door. Everything was included except for the door itself, and it fit perfectly within the provided dimensions. Despite the limited area we had to work with, the installation went extremely well, and the door ultimately worked perfectly. I highly recommend it for restricted openings, but make sure you know the dimensions you’re working with.

This is my second order for this the first order is in the basement on the bedroom door with a low clearance and this is a great kid it’s a pretty beefy kit so it’s going to support whatever the weight is indicated.I used this on a hollow core door which weighs next to nothing but also presents a whole new issue that’s nothing to do with this kid though. It’s beefy the bar itself the flat bar has got some girth and weight to it which is good I think you can support some pretty good size doors at least on our other kid and this is the same always recommend you get a stud finder that’s going to be important. There is no pro tips on this it’s just follow the instructions I did cut my bar down I’m just based on my requirement and then just painted the end with like a foam brush and some trim cloud only because I cut it down to a specific size. The rollers are super quiet that that was a nice part they don’t make this loud noise like some of the rollers are hard hard plastic and these are as well but they roll with a really nice bearing and it’s like all you hear is a very very light noise and it’s super quiet so for example in a bedroom if somebody sleeping and you want to get up and leaving close the door it’s not going to wake them up.Installation again I I would recommend depending on what you’re doing probably two people I did it myself it’s a pain in the butt however you can start with the center bolt like a center lag bolt to kind of balance the bar and then work your way left or right that’s what I did but it’s better to have two people if you can pre-drill your holes I’ll make sure you’re interested or if you’re using concrete light bulbs either you know either warm start in the center work left and then right or whatever your preference is and snug it up and away you go super simple.

The kit comes with 36â track, 2 wheels & mounting hardware. Black hardware made with steel for durability.Installation instructions included has images for a quad fold door, so I would have preferred instructions specific for the product. There is a QR code that takes you to an installation video.Installation was fairly easy as all parts required were included.Part build quality is high and looks very good installed. My only issue was with the documentation. At the time of this review, the kit was priced at $89.99, which is on part with comparable products on Amazon.

So the kit came complete, no missing pieces. This is for one set of 16″ closet style panel doors. You will need two sets if you have two sets of bifold doors. The track is segmented but locks together at the mounting points so not really an issue as the bifold doors are not that heavy either. The instructions are pretty clear with mounting points and drill sizes, but always picture two sets of doors being installed.Overall a nice kit for a different look, but keep in mind that unlike regular bifold door systems that sit within the width of the wall ie flush with the outside, this system mounts on the outside of the wall. You will loose a bit of floor space as the door system is not protruded from the wall a bit.
