The DrillPump750 is designed to work with most electrical drills with a maximum speed of 2, 800 RPM. This pump is ideal for draining small ponds, fish tanks, small pools or even a flooded basement. The hose connection is 3/4” and uses any standard garden hose. The unit pumps up to 750 gallons per hour and is self-priming up to 12 feet. The 3/8” shank on this unit fits all common chucks for most drills. It is recommended to use silicone grease. To apply, unscrew the side and put a bit of grease on the housing where the rubber fan blades touch, then reassemble. When using, the drill should be set to run forward, turning the pump in a clockwise direction.
SELF PRIMING: Pumps up to 750 gallons per hour
USABILITY IN MIND: 3/4″ hose connection, for use with standard garden hose
UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY: 3/8” shank on this unit fits all common chucks
Not to be used with potable water
Drill Pump will not turn by hand, it must be chucked to the drill
Note: After every use apply a small amount of silicone grease. To apply, remove the black housing screws and cover, and put a bit of grease on the housing where the rubber fan blades touch, then reassemble. Do not use spray lubricants.

Customers say

Customers find the water pump offers good value for the price. They appreciate its ease of use and pump speed. However, some customers have issues with the shaft turning ability, saying it takes a lot of torque to turn. There are mixed opinions on functionality, build quality, pumping capacity, and water removal.

    Works very well
I couldn’t believe how well this little pump works. I used a 3/4 inch cordless drill in one hand annd the pump in the other and in no time the task was complete. It is well worth the money .

    Exceeds expectations
I literally expected this to either not work at all or burn up after running for a few minutes. To my pleasant surprise, it ran non-stop for a full hour without issues. There are a couple of caveats though. 1) You must screw this down on a board to serve as an anti-torque base so that your drill doesn’t flip over. 2) You must disassemble it and lube it with silicone grease before and after you use it. 3) If you don’t use it somewhat regularly, the rubber impeller is likely to take a “set” and not work well. This is no substitute for real submersible pump, but it’s very handy in a pinch if you set it up correctly.

    Dangerous!
Dangerous! This item should be taken off the market immediately. The pump shank is so tight that a keyless chuck will only spin around the shank. So I tried a different drill with a chuck requiring a key to lock onto the shank. Once tight I powered the drill which not only turned the shank but also the entire pump I was holding in my other hand. A trip to the ER may be necessary to have the injury I’ve sustained using this pump look at! DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

    Might Work for a While
Pump worked for a few minutes then failed (the impeller separated from the drive shaft). There are 8 things that are essential. 1. One lock your drill rotation selector so that it will only turn clockwise – the normal rotation when drilling. I used some duct tape to hold it so I couldn’t bump it to off or to turn the other direction. 2. Next, make sure the hoses are connected properly – an air leak in the intake hose will cause it fail to prime. The in and out arrows are hidden. Look hard and you will find them. The manufacturer failed to make them obvious on multiple sides and deeply embossed or raised. 3. And, make sure to wet/lubricate the pump before using it. 4. Make sure to mount the pump on a board with screws. Make the board long and wide enough for the drill and the pump. I used the two mounting screw slots and also added a screw to the board on the other side of the mount so the pump could not slide out of the two screw slots provided. 5. Pre prime the intake water or fluid if you can. 6. Make sure to filter the water coming into the intake. I used plastic filter that would prevent any large debris from entering the hose. 7. Make sure the drill chuck is really tight. The pump takes a lot of torque to turn and it will slip if not very tight. 8. Good luck. If you do all the right things it might work. I am going to try the same pump again with all the precautions and see if using it with these precautions will it work more than a couple of minutes. I will update this review and tell you if it works.

truly valuable to have at hand
I actually have two of these: after hurricane Helene here in GA, there was no power for about seven days, but lots of pools of water here and there, inside and outside that needed to be pumped out with battery power (Milwaukee cordless drills in my case). Our freezer had completely melted and was dripping a lot of water on the wood floor in our kitchen (I know, I know… who puts wood floors in the kitchen? Well, I do – I like the warmth, and tile is too damn loud in that space). This one comes with holes to mount it, and that’s a good idea – there’s considerable torque when using it, and mounting it to a scrap piece of plywood that allows you to step on it as you use the pump really stabilizes things. It takes normal garden hose fittings, so if you’ve got some scrap hose around it will work fine. I love the hose thing because you can make custom pumps for each occasion – if you get into it, you can create some very sophisticated hose ends for sucking up water from an overflowing toilet, a washing machine/dishwasher that has gone rabid, leaking pipes, or you know, the next hurricane.Cheap, extremely handy, and elegant in its simplicity. A must-have in my opinion

    Best drill pump by far!!!
I’ve purchased several drill pumps from box stores, and online and it seems that they work great the first time and then never really work again after that. I’ve tried every possible way to preserve them so that they would function later.. but nothing really works. I’ve taken them a part and found that the shaft has broke loose inside on the impeller. This pump however is durable and has worked several times so far, I purchased a second one just to have a back up because when I need a drill pump I need one now. I went to a local box store and paid twice as much for a pump than this one.. it worked great, put it away using the method it mentioned in the package instructions.. went to use it a few months later and it’s junk.I’d recommend this pump all day!! I have used the first one I bought off and on for about a year now, it works everytime!

This thing is a life saver!
Post-flood, our plumbing has not been reliable and we have not been able to flush toilets or drain bath tubs. With this pump, I can easily and quickly drain our baths out our window. It’s not glamorous, but we can keep ourselves clean now. This is the best purchase I’ve made in a while.

We used this to drain two 55 gallon drums of water. Very cost effective, quick and was the perfect solution. I was surprised how fast the water poured out. My son operated the drill and he said his hand was getting a little tired holding the button on the drill. We used an old drill so maybe some of the newer ones have a different “on” setting. But with 110 gallons of water, I feel it’s to be expected. A few drops of black grease/tar type stuff came out the other end but certainly wasn’t a deal breaker. I’ll definitely be using it again and highly recommend the product.

There were no instructions on how to prime or use the drill pump. Easy to use once you work out how to ‘prime’ the pump. However, the amount of water from the ‘dump’ hose was just a trickle, despite two different drills being, (to try a different power), the flow rate was very poor. After a short time of just ten minutes it just stopped !! It did work again after a rest but again stopped after another ten minutes. – Not what I expected following my research of reviews and youtube videos promoting that it can empty small swimming pools etc. You live and learn !! Avoid this product unless you only have a small bowl to empty and lots of time to wait for it to empty……….

Love using this to decant water from my blue ‘catch’ barrel to my ‘fill the watering can’ mini tank. Just make sure you get your inlet and outlet the right way around. You know very quickly if you haven’t. 😀
