    Great Product
I will never go another winter without putting these up.Last year we had an exterior window in the bedroom that needed to be replaced, it wouldn’t quite close all the way. I didn’t wanna pay to get someone to do it so I planned on DIY replacing the window in spring. Until that time, I duct taped the window as close as I could to it being closed then put one of this over the window. No more draft, happy wife.Pro’s: Great tape; the cheapo versions of these come with cheap tape. This stuff is quality.Con’s: Non I can think ofTips for Installing:1. The tape goes on TRIM all the way around the window, not on the window itself. The point is to create a barrier of air between your room air, and the glass.2. When applying the tape; tape ALL the way around the window. Then peel off the double sided film ONLY on the TOP of the window. If you don’t do this on bigger windows you turn it into a 2 man job to prevent it from blowing around and sticking to the sides of the window.** I recommend finding the middle of the plastic, and sticking it to the tape at the middle of the window. Then go from the middle to the edge on both sides.3. When the top is done, I follow suit with the bottom in the same fashion, and then the sides. It does not have to be perfectly tight … and doesn’t have to be wrinkle free. The stuff really stretches quite tight.4. I use the hair dryer all the way around the edge to get creases out … then go into the middle.P.S.I had left over; and have a part time heated garage. This stuff really helps in not frosting up the garage window when i pour heat into it.

THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL ANY MORE!
I have been using the 3M insulator kits every year for more than 20 years. At most I have had a few minor problems through the years, but would have rated the product at 5 stars. Everything changed this year. I ordered 6 of the patio door insulation kits. We have very tall windows and I have to use the patio door kits on them. When I went to install the double sided tape, half of the paper backing remained on the tape making it unusable. I opened the second kit and had the same problem. I returned all of the kits thinking perhaps I had received a bad “batch” of kits. Approximately two weeks later I reordered another six kits. I had the same problem with the tape. At this point I called 3M customer support. They were very apologetic and offered to send me six new rolls of tape. The tape I received was for exterior use, but came with a letter stating that they had identified a quality issue affecting the usability of the indoor double-sided tape. They said the outdoor tape could be used as a temporary replacement. I proceeded to install the kits on 3 of my windows and then ran out of time for the day. A few days later the plastic had come loose from the tape in various places on all 3 windows and was hanging down. Apparently the outdoor tape does not work with the indoor plastic or I received bad outdoor tape. I have given up this for this year. I don’t even want to try another brand at this point. I have tried a cheaper brand in the past, and had problems with both the tape and visibility of the plastic. I certainly hope 3M gets things together and resolves these problems by next year.

    No more condensation!
(UPDATE: Spring 2012 and I’ve taken off the sheets so that I could open the windows. No paint peeled off the windows. It may be BECAUSE they were well- and newly-painted. I could see how it might take the paint off if the paint it already cracked or otherwise compromised. I am very pleased with this product. I will be buying again for the coming California “winter”.)We live in a 1920’s bungalow and recently upgraded all but two rooms with dual-paned windows. The two are the living and dining rooms, each with original single-paned windows. It doesn’t get that cold here in Oakland, but cold enough in the winter that I continued to battle condensation on the inside of the windows in these rooms. I tried different curtains, experimented with air circulation, looked at dewpoint calculators to try and mitigate condensation. Yet, each morning I woke up with 9 wet windows that I’d have to wipe down. After reading many, MANY reviews, and after a recommendation from a co-worker in Atlanta who has a similarly-aged house and windows and swears by these, I decided to try this product. Let me tell you: This stuff works. Except for one window–the top half of one single-hung window where I know it’s due to “user error” since I didn’t install one corner perfectly sealed–I have had NO condensation on any of the windows since installation in early December, and we have had all manner of weather since then. Hooray! I could not be more pleased with this product.I completed all 9 windows in about 2 hours (6 large windows – 1 large picture window in each room, each flanked by single-hung windows; plus 3 small picture windows).Just follow the instructions. A complete seal is key. From inside the house, they are virtually invisible if you start with fairly taut sheets when you put them up, then take the time to apply extra heat on any remaining creases. I just used my hair dryer, switching to high to work the creases. From the street, they are also hardly noticeable unless you look for them or the sunlight catches the plastic, but it’s not bad.My only worry now, given some of the reviews I read, is the paint peeling off the window frames when (and if) I take the plastic off in the spring. We just had the rooms and windows painted last year. 3M adhesives are great, but sometimes TOO good for older homes.

I had been looking for an affordable option to keep the Cold Canadian weather out. It worked better than I ever expected. It was easly to apply and the instructions were clear. I also found that it had few wrinkles after it was applied. I would recommend it to others.

The film is very thin and can easily get pierced by sharp object if not careful. Has to be installed at least an inch away from glass pane to be effective.

Montaggio semplice e pensione perfetta una volta passato il phon, sembra quasi un vetro, non isola come un vero vetro ma se cercate di guadagnare qualche grado in una stanza che ha vetri singoli funziona
