Our other one broke I ordered this off Amazon. Itâs a great coffee pot so far it works perfect stores underneath our cabinet. Itâs not too big. No complain. Complaints for me. Five out of five.

Missing/Broken piece
It’s a very basic coffee pot, which I like. No bells or whistles to it. The red vortex shower piece has a part on top of it that is supposed to connect to the lid, to help hold it up. However, after using it a couple of days, having problems trying to get the lid to snap shut, that piece was in the way. The lid is supposed to have 2 hooks to hook this piece to but it’s missing one side…which is why the lid wouldn’t snap shut properly. It’s actually pointless, IMO. We took it off. We can just manually lift up the shower piece. The instructions say absolutely nothing about it. So, it was either return the coffee pot or remove the piece. Other than that, GREAT cup of coffee!

Excellent Coffee Maker
Yea!!! Black & Decker comes through with a great little 5 cup coffee maker. It brews within four minutes. It is quiet, takes up little counter space and is easy to use.The handle is spacious enough for my larger hand and the pot fits nicely on the burner without spilling coffee when you put it back in place. It pours without dripping! A problem Iâve had with my last two other coffee makers of different brands.Iâll buy this product again.

Works Well!
Makes a good cup of coffee. Makes a hot cup of coffee. Something to noteâ¦the warmer doesnât automatically shut off. This took a little getting used to. It dispenses the hot water straight downward over the top of the grounds, not like some other low end coffee makers. This is well worth the price if you donât need anything fancy. Itâs a great item for a work break room.

Brews to warm temp. Never really hot.
I wonât make excuses for the B&D. It lacks ability to make a truly hot pot of coffee. Perhaps itâs a design flaw. But it raises questions about how it had such good reviews as is often the case with products that fail to meet the minimum expectations. After brewing, and even if I leave it on the warmer a while after brewing. The results are the same – temp is Just above warm. I have bought many MANY coffee makers over the decades. Currently in use; (4i,e,) one 12 cup drop. One 5 cup drip 5-7 years old still works better than this. One Lrg & one small kcup. All of them are years old and all have traveled a few times for wrk or vacay.I bought this ANZN product to replace my small 5 cup that was about 7 yrs old at best. Deapite routine cleaning n maintenance it was over due to replace. However, despite the over use, travel, and age of my old 5 cup, it still makes a better cup of coffee than the product I replaced it with – the product of this review. I gave it a try and sadly I regret that I cannot recommend this product. Dear shoppers. When it comes to this type of appliance, I suggest spending a few dollars more or buy products that allow more than 30 days to return or replace. Great no frills drip coffee maker
I am blind so I can not comment on the looks of the product. It is well put together and fixes a flaw my old Black and Decker coffee maker had that thier was a gap that allowed steam to escape and if you brushed it with your hand you knew it. The basket for the filters and coffee is good solid construction along with the carafe. My only quibble is the lip for the carfe is a little narrow so judging how much you are pouring is tricky. The coffee comes out good and hot but not scorching. It only has a on off switch which is perfect for a blind person no other buttons to mess with turn it on and brew coffee turn it off when you are done. Coffee brewing is fast sub 5 mintues but if you need caffine yesterday it has a steal a cup function where if you remove the carfe it will stop brewing I can not really comment on that because I need my morning caffine shot but not that badly.

STOP BUYING EXPENSIVE COFFEE POTS!!! I was tired of spending $80+ once a year on a coffee pot that would only last a year and had special screws so that you couldn’t get in and clean the water pipes inside that so easily clogged. Just think of the crap your coffee water is being filtered through before making your coffee. I’m so angry, those screws should be illegal. This coffee pot is just a simple, manual machine that would make coffee fast. Forget throwing so much money away so you can set a clock to have coffee for the morning. You can pour the water and put the grinds in the night before then simply click it on in the morning or spend one minute doing it in the morning and have your coffee faster than you can finish your morning bathroom routine. I’m angry at these companies that deliberately put those screws there to deliberately (uhum) screw you to get more money from you.So what if you spend a few days to get your perfect coffee flavour, you generally have to do that with any pot. I did have to use a bit more coffee with this one because it pours so fast – or maybe it’s simply because it’s a 12 cup pot instead of the 10 cup I was using. I also had x3 thermos coffee pots from the more expensive machines so I simply pour the coffee into one and voila !! Hot coffee for the day without the burn.THANK YOU ‘BLACK and DECKER’ for this cost-saving “Easy Pour, Non-Drip Carafe with Removable Filter Basket” product. I actually didn’t check the type of screws on this one, yet – I’m still too angry about them, but I hope you think about normal ones if you’re using those ‘screwy’ ones. Give the consumer a chance to drink clean water by letting us clean those pipes inside. I guarantee you’ll increase sales on any of your coffee pots if you advertise that ability to always drink clean water with ‘Black and Decker’ products!

Title says it all.I got tired of the taste of my Keurig Coffee and I wanted to return to a drip coffee. I live alone and have no use for a large 12-cup Coffee Maker, so the Black & Decker 5-Cup is ideal for me. The 5-Cup Coffee Maker is a great space-saving product as its compact size barely takes up room on my counter top and can be easily tucked away.I have had this for several months now and the coffee still comes out nice, hot and tasty. My only minor gripe is that when you try to switch it off, it shifts easily because it is so light once all the water/coffee is removed.Pretty much 9.5/10, I would recommend this product.UPDATE: Itâs almost 2025 and this bad boy is still going strong!! If you have this in your wishlist/cart just get it! ð
