Perfect solution
I purchased this for my neighbor that had a portable air conditioner but didn’t want it in the bedroom. I started looking for a solution so they could use it in the living room using the sliding door. I looked at a few different ones and am so glad that I decided on this one. The fit was perfect and it was super easy to put in. They love that they can still open the door to go out while the unit is in place. Highly recommend.

This was super east to install, took less than five minutes. It’s much better than the one that originally came with my portable AC. It’s already working more efficiently! I also now have the option to use it in my screen door if I so wish. Buy it! It’s also super sturdy.

Not perfect, but works with some tweaks.
This product works well with some slight modifications. I used it for a larger window that slides horizontally.Some notes:-I recommend buying your own weather stripping and using it on BOTH sides of the panel. The weather stripping provided didn’t seal the gaps.-I also recommend Gorilla Tape along the perimeter to provide extra seal and stability. The panel is skinnier than my window frame, so it wobbles without the tape. My window also doesn’t close fully onto the panel, more at an angle, which makes me think my window/frame is unbalanced.-I also used Gorilla Tape over the tube adapter. The adapter snaps into place, but there were some small gaps and I worried about my AC not working as efficiently as it could.It’s not pretty, but I don’t really care when it’s 102°F outside. My portable AC is working GREAT. I plan on placing a thick wooden dowel rod in the window for extra protection and stability.This is not a one-and-done product, you’ll probably need to get creative in order to get the best results out of it.I definitely think it’s over priced. It was nearly $50 for what is essentially a DIY project that cuts some corners for you.That being said, I am keeping it because am enjoying it so far. I like that even if I move houses and have different windows, this will still work because it’s customizable.

Not Really “Universal”
Everything about this kit is as you’d expect; simple, sturdy and easy to install, no issues there.Just one big issue: the exhaust hose interface did not fit the hose that my AC came with! Although the kit indicates that it works with “most” AC units, it was far too small to work with my AC. I had to enlarge their adapter plate to accept the exhaust duct supplied with my AC…quite a bit of modification, but I didn’t want to wait for something else to show up.It would be nice if the kit description included the hose diameter, so you can check for compatibility before purchase…

It works and fits 93 inch tall door!
Happy with it. Itâs more sturdy than expected, the interlocking pieces work better than what came with my Honeywell a/c unit. (Except for the end piece adapter)The only downside is you have to use the end hose adapter that comes with it, at least for the 5.1 size, as my own end piece adapters are slightly too large. The end piece is not as durable as what I already had.It easily extended up to 93 inches to fit my tall sliding glass door. Probably could extend up to about 95 with no issues. If you had an even taller door just buy 2 units as you could easily add another interlocking piece onto it.I still need to weather strip it and likely plan to buy that at the hardware store.Also, I have a 2nd one Iâm using in a tall window, so this works perfectly for windows too. It works and Iâm sitting cool at the moment!

Saved us from dying of heat in our own home
We unfortunately do not have Central Air and are saving up for it. This helped us so we could keep our kitchen/dining area cool. It was super easy to put together, and we can easily remove it at the end of the day so we can close our door for the night. Because of the foam provided, we got a pretty good seal. We choose to place it on our sliding door track so that it also uses the seal from our door/frame.Obviously, with it being 4 pieces of plastic, it can get a little flimsy the longer you have to extend it (so those closer to the 220cm/87inch will notice this more). But other than that, I’d say it’s a great choice if your sliding door is your best option for exhaust.

I purchased a portable air-conditioner, but could not use the enclosed window outlet as I have patio doors.When telephoning into Delonghi as to what I could do, this item was suggested as the measurements appeared to be suitable. However, the sizing of the Gulgear item is millimetres different and I am unable to use it at the moment, until I can come up with an idea of what to do. As this item came from the States I decided not to return, but to try and adjust accordingly. The item itself is of quality and some thought has gone into fitting it to a patio door,.
