Super easy
I have 3 of these locks!!! It took me 10mins to install super easy and I have bought one for my mom as well for Christmas! Love the fact that it has the different options for the lock/unlock with thumb print, codes, the fob, or even using the phone. Even has the option for you to set up a code for someone thatâs coming over to feed animals while your away then you can go in and delete the code afterwards. It also notifies you who is unlocking the door if your have the thumb print set up or a person has its own code! I highly recommend this lock!

It’s a lock
Totally love this product had nothing but good luck with it. To the point where I buy them for people who get a new home all the time. It’s great gift of the great price point and it does really good job. I can unlock my front door in the cold and rain from inside my car 5 minutes before I arrive there so now I’m not fiddling at the door with the buttons and the codes and the keys and the whatever. I just make Google unlock the door before I get there.If I’m having a temporary house guest or somebody I trust is coming to work in my home I create a code for them or I give them a little key fob and I don’t have to worry about them getting in and out. Also my wife doesn’t lock herself out anymore! Double highly recommended

Literally had to stand like 2 feet away to get Bluetooth to work the app..at that point I might as well manually lock it then. I was in the restroom and couldn’t get the app to be within Bluetooth range that I literally walked like 2 feet near the door and it finally connected ð more confusing, there are 2 QR CODES, and once I couldnât get one account to work, I had to download the other app and it said the lock was already binded with another account so I had to unbind and delete both account and start again. What’s worse is the display lock on the app is always the same red symbol whether it’s locked or unlocked. I wish it was like red for locked and symbol showed a locked lock for when it’s locked and like a green lock with an unlocked symbol or something for when it’s unlocked but nope, they are exactly the same and that’s confusing. Just by glancing at the app I couldnât tell if it was locked or unlocked. Sad to say, it arrived today and it’s going back tomorrow.

Convenient, but not perfect
This keypad is convenient for our housecleaner and when we go out of town and have someone housesit. We can easily create custom codes just for them. We have had trouble with the finger print entry. It rarely works on the first try and then it times you out if there are too many attempts. The app also doesnât update to show the correct battery life. Overall, we are happy with this purchase, though.

I’m impressed!
I really enjoy having this smart lock. I have it programmed to read my finger print, so it makes it super easy to get in. It comes with a key and you could also use a code! What I really like is that it has a self lock feature. Sometimes we forget to lock the door when we get home, so after a few minutes it does it on it’s own and it will tell us that it’s “locked”. Definitely a good purchase.

Excellent professional customer service supporting a well designed product solution
One of my recent clients required an electronic locking system with remote access, monitoring, keypad entry and a standard physical key solution. Based on so many favorable reviews I decided to give Smonet a try. I was quite impressed with the packaging, detailed pictorial instructions, and mounting hardware provided. After installing the Smart Lock in place of an old mechanical deadbolt, I had a number of questions while I waited for the gateway to arrive. I reached out to the manufacturer through their contact us link. Within 24 hours one of their tech support agents, Helen, reached out to me through WhatsApp. She introduced herself and offer to answer any of my questions. From our text exchange she took the time to walk me through the process of establishing a passcode, and explain various options. Awaiting the gateway and additional ecards I asked how one links them up to the Smart Lock. Helen took the time to demonstrate each function by creating a short video of her walking through it on her own smartphone and then sending it to me through WhatsApp. The printed instructions are very good but the short videos with live demonstration were extremely helpful. I have now successfully incorporated the gateway so they customer can monitor each entry remotely. Also programmed five e-cards for the staff each under their respective names. The app is well designed and easy to follow. And the Smart Lock confirms each successful addition with voice response. I am thoroughly impressed with the product design and it’s many features to the point that I will install a complete Y1 system in my own house so I can be more proficient on it with future clients. I am most impressed with the timely, courteous, and extensive customer support I have received from Helen overseas. To me, timely customer tactical support is most important with product quality, design, and cost a close second. I will highly recommend this product line to all my current and future clients. I waited 9 months to review this product mainly because I returned the first one I got in less than a month. I got a new replacement, and an upgrade at no extra cost. But wanted to make sure it was great before I review. So far we haven’t had any issues with this lock the quality is very good and their customer service is great. Between our kids frequently misplacing their keys and family coming in from out of town, my wife and I are constantly walking up and down our stairs to unlock the front door. It’s become irritating, especially when we’re already relaxing comfortably on our couch. So, we decided to upgrade to a smart lock to give our family and guests more options for getting into the house, even without a physical key.A lot of research went into getting a smart lock. Whatever we went with needed to be easy to install and program, as well as provide a variety of options for entry, including physical keys. Most brands, including Weiser and Schlage, had interesting options, but they were all missing some key feature. When we stumbled onto Smonet, we weren’t sure about it because we’d never heard of the brand. But it was close to $100 CAD and had some decent reviews. Since we could return the lock if it didn’t meet our needs, we ordered the Smonet Smart Deadbolt to give it a try.We were not disappointed.I had this deadbolt installed within 30 minutes. It would have taken far less time, but the holes in our front door weren’t properly cut decades ago. I had to modify the door to accommodate a modern lock (would have been the same issue regardless of what brand we went with). I popped in four batteries, opened the Next Lock app, and started programming FOBs, passcodes, and fingerprints without an issue. I got some extra keys copied for the people in my home who like to have a physical key as a backup, but everyone has been using their passcodes or fingerprints to get in since the lock was installed.To be honest, the fingerprint scanner is ultra sensitive. If your finger is dirty or sweaty, you’re not likely to get a good reading. Myself, I’ve been happy with the keypad and entering my code.A bonus feature is the auto-lock. I am well-known for getting distracted and accidentally leaving the deadbolt unlocked. The auto-lock feature allows you to set the time the deadbolt will automatically lock, so you never have to worry about keeping your family protected.The app is pretty decent. Easy to navigate, shows me the battery life, allows me to unlock and then lock the door from wherever I am in the house. Very versatile little unit. There are so many other features we don’t use, like Apple Watch, Alexa, and Google Home, but could if we wanted to.Lastly, the physical key can be copied using a Schlage SC1 key-blank. Don’t go to Home Depot, Rona, or any other general hardware store as they have no clue how to cut these keys. Go directly to a reputable locksmith and tell them to use an SC1. I made multiple copies successfully.If you’re in the market for a smart lock for your home, we’d highly recommend the Smonet Smart Deadbolt. I kind of wish we had more doors in the house. I’d get another one in a heartbeat.

I purchased 4 of these locks as Christmas gifts for my family. The intention was to find something dependable with an easy to manage app that allowed for customization for multiple users. It has now been 4 months since they were installed and my family is so happy with their locks.The fact that you can use a key, a finger print, enter a code, use your phones Bluetooth, the ic fobs or even your watch; makes this a very versatile lock with current technology and customizations.Today I had to visit my daughters and made it to her house before her. She was able to send me a temporary code from the app so that I would be able to get in, that was impressive and so convenient. This feature is also useful if you have trades or guests coming that only require temporary access with an expiry time/date that you can set or revoke at any time. Convenience and security have all been well thought out for a lock that costs considerably less than other brands on the market.It was necessary to contact their support line recently because the unit I purchased for my father was having problems. I found it most helpful to contact them through their WhatsApp because of the time difference. They did some troubleshooting with me and determined that the unit should simply be replaced. Within 10 hours there was a delivery at my dadâs door with a replacement unit. To say we were shocked at how fast they resolved our issue is an understatement. They went above and beyond to back up their warranty and were fantastic to deal with.So knowing that the features aligned perfectly with our expectations and the support exceeded even some of the bigger names Iâve used in the past; I will continue to support this brand going forward.Thank you Helen for your continued follow up and consideration!

Revised. So despite trying to troubleshoot my backdoor, the unit it defective. The only solution that was offered was inserting a code that makes the battery read at100% when infact it’s draining the batteries on a daily basis. And my children are literally locked out of the house via the back entry because they only have the fingerprint access at the moment. I am disappointed by the poor customer service received despite me contacting and trying to get a solution.So I have 3 of these units…my front and garage work perfectly, even in the Alberta cold…..however my back door is a defect I think, because it registers brand new good quality batteries at 50% and I am replacing batteriew daily.I gave it a 3 because the other two work as they should
