I’ll follow up with photos, but I wanted to do my part to let all you folks out there, afraid to buy furniture online, that this is a safe purchase. Within the same day of purchase I received the first tracking number for the initial shipment of 4 boxes to be expected from Amazon, logistically from FedEx. A few hours later the host company messaged me the other tracking numbers, and everything entered transit together within that day. I had put the order through in the morning and my boxes were moving along by mid-afternoon. To be fair, the shipments were from NJ, and I’m in the PA suburbs about an hour, hour and a half from the city of Philly, but in 24 hours, all 4 boxes arrived, and had been dropped off together in our driverway. Each box was labeled on the exterior and even had associated segment images, so we knew exactly which piece to open in order. The bases are sort of a pallet style, in solid wood. The backs and arms are in fact steel. The directions are probably the easiest to understand that I’ve ever encountered, but my husband insisted on being the main builder, for the glory, lol. All the backs are F, all the bolts are M, the washers N; it’s impossible to mess up. The cushions and pillows are double shrink-wrapped. Zippering on the arm pillows was easiest for me after taking the stuffing out and putting it back in once I attached them to the sofa arms, but that was the most difficulty I encountered. The one thing driving me crazy is the floor to seat height. Picture a pallet base, with a square pillow seat on top, and a cushion style pillow-top on that; very comfortable, however it looks and feels more like it was designed for a playroom, not an adult living-room. Sitting down, we’re shorter than the coffee-table, and I’m 5’2. The sofa itself is very comfortable to sit and lounge on and I’d say there’s zero potential for it to break-in too far or breakdown. You should know that the back pillows are not plush. The little pillows are to fill in for the non-existent lumbar support. They’re great, but it’s meant for vertical seating. You won’t sink into the back at all; that’s neutral for us. For us, that simply means I have an excuse for more throw pillows to be bought. We’ve tried an arrangement with and without the console insert. Every segment has brackets to connect. The arms of course, only have brackets on the inside panels. You can take the console out if you choose and hook the square segments together. I’m very pleased with the quality for the price and how the company has treated me as a customer. In my opinion, with more money, I’d shoot for adult furniture, and put this in the playroom for my kids or give it to my oldest for his first apartment. I think the longevity is significant and reliable with this furnishing, and firmness is not a problem whatsoever. The fabric is incredibly soft, and it can be used immediately. Definitely do not take a box-cutter to these boxes. Each box is packaged in full to the brim. Cut at the edge of the boxes, where cardboard means cardboard, and pull up the middle; cut through the extra thick tape with scissors horizontally like you normally would. I don’t think this took us more than a half hour and I had no issue picking up pieces myself. For the quality and price, and most likely, the lifespan, this is a spectacular find from a great company. Oh, the console is really neat and requires no assembly; you just plug it in. We decided to take it out bc we’d rather lean on each other than a cup holder in the middle, but having the opportunity to decide is awesome. Also, the chaise lounge extensions are rather short. If I slouch at all, my feet stick off the end, again, vertical seating intended here. Still, with our rectangular coffee-table in the middle of the U, fitting in even without the console, for our den space, this was an absolute score. Buying furniture online is super scary, and the best I can do is help other families with enough details to make an informed decision for themselves. I hope this helps anyone looking for ease and comfort on a budget. :)Several Hours Later:Okay so the 70s yellow lighting in our den make the couch look kind of teal. The color on the product page is completely accurate, so ignore the distortion in my photos. For reference, my coffee table is 4ft long. The height of the sofa I wanted to be more specific on. If you measure from the floor to lip of the pillow top, it’s 15 inches, if you count the actual top, it’s 17 inches. Here’s where I get frustrated and I have to really rely on my knees to get up, sitting down, the seat compresses to 12 inches, i.e. one foot from the floor. We otherwise love this piece, so we’re already discussing replacing all of the feet. We put the console hub on the end bc we still wanted to use it; it’s not hooked on. The full sofa measurement length is totally accurate; that wall is 142″. Really very happy. Please ignore my dorky Squishmallows; I blame the hubby. XD Anywho, I hope this helps someone. Love my new couch
We needed a spacious and comfortable sofa that could meet the needs of our busy family, and this one perfectly fits the bill.
