These are nice, sharp & sturdy knives. When I first received them I was disappointed because they look non serated in the pic but they have a very fine seration to them. That disappointment was gone with the first use! Would definitely recommend.

This set looks more upscale than other knife sets I’ve seen in this price range, likely due to the rich dark wooden block and the full-tang stainless and black handles. My wood block has minor damages, the wood appeared to be dented in one corner and the paint scraped off in another, likely from rough handling across the ocean. In any case, this wood block has the “slim” profile that it takes up significantly less counter space than other knife sets.The 15 pieces make up a nice assortment, all pieces are very usable and in the right length, I can see using them all except for the bread knife, which I find no use for it. I don’t pretend to understand what 50Cr15Mov means, but the knives were certainly sharp enough right out of the box for most kitchen work. The scissors have unusually large handle hoops, which makes grasping it a bit difficult.The only reservation I have about this set is the price, at $100 a set, this is the same price as Cusinart’s 15-piece set, and within $30 of Henckles’ 15 piece set. Although this set is very nice, I’m not sure of the quality of the metal just yet to know if it should be in the league of $100 sets or be in the league of the $50 sets. I will update on the longevity of the blades and the rating after using it for a while, but so far, it looks and feels good.
